35. True shades
Yadivah replied with pride as Luna, "As I said earlier, I was forced to kill a human to get your father and that human is your Axe's mother."
Karen opened his mouth in shock and asked quickly, "Do... Does it mean, oh my god, does it mean, and Axe is the daughter of my father. Could her be my siblings... No! Tell me quickly... I'm draining..."
Yadivah combed her son's head with gentle care with a pitiful look in her dark eyes, "Don't doubt your father's generosity, my son. He is loyal to me."
Karen did breathe after hearing his father’s loyal to his mother and felt a little happy inside, “Thank god, I didn’t wrong to love my sibling. I will soon find her to make her mine,” and quickly connected the mystery dots in his mind while his mother continued, "Indeed it was the story of true love of human and Werewolf... I pity them, they were crestfallen lovers."
Karen accused his mother without a second thought, "Mom, you can justify your act but you become the primary reason for Axe to lose her parents. It isn't fair mom. The fault can’t be accused on Axe's mother alone but my dad is also involved. You, not only punished her mother but my father too involved. You must give him a fair chance to explain his deeds (struggled with short breath)
Because of you, he lost his true love and in turn, he is settling the debt of gratitude with all his life to protect Axe. What will happen if my dad ever comes to know about this? Don't you think of this earlier?"
Yadivah’s calm was broken when her son posted such a question to her, "That’s why l leaves her daughter in the custody of Black Witch. Hoping she would be sacrificed in any of the rituals of a coven of a black witch. But still, she survives until the day she was taken by dragons.
Her survival troubled me a lot; I wondered why the Black Witch still kept her alive. I squeezed my brain to find a solution that any motherly feeling arose in her decomposed heart towards that human. Until the day your father revealed that he promised the Black Witch to provide her with humans to sacrifice in her ritual sparing the dirty rotten human named Akshara.
I wanted to live my life with pride to be the Queen of the werewolf by marrying the mighty Alpha king of the entire werewolves’ clan. As I expected, I did marry your father and I give birth to you. You are the gem of our life. Your father indeed loved his whole family to the core. Everything went well until that day your father went for a hunt..."
The tears fell from the amber eyes of Karen on hearing the fate of Akshara designed by his mother, "What happened then?"
Yadivah continued, "Then what... your father found his true love was suffering her earthly sorrows and wanted to help her. That’s the beginning of everything. It is your father who provoked my evil side of my love towards him..."
Karen looked down on his mother and sat on the edge of his bed like a lifeless log and spoke in a feeble voice, "Mom, But, Axe is innocent, in what way did she harm you?"
Yadivah flared in anger, “Like father like son, your father doomed to fall in love with a human and live his pride life as a slave to the black witch. I won’t allow you to repeat the same mistake like what your father did.
I won’t live my life like a slave to begging mercy for life anymore. I, indeed happy in the fact that human girl went missing. The black witch can’t captivate your father anymore by threatening him for the survival of that human girl.
And you (She pointed her index finger towards Karen) Stop searching for that human girl and marry the daughter of Delta to extend our territory. I don’t want to waste my time as I have waited for long.”
Karen shivered a little to hear his mother yet declared her with his boldness, “I will find Axe and marry her to swipe the reflection of your mistakes, Luna.”
Yadivah was shocked by the word LUNA from her son’s mouth, “Luna!”
Karen repeated, “Yes, you are Luna to my father Alpha and the queen to Ukada kingdom. Not my mother anymore. Such a sinful being can’t be my mother anymore.”
Yadivah flared in anger, “Karen, mind your words. You are talking to your mother. Keep that in my mind.”
Karen put on his shoes while his mother asked his intentions, “What are you doing? Snorting your way to find your mate? She was taken away by dragons. They would have eaten her for their evening snacks.”
Karen never spoke a word and rooted his way towards the door. Yadivah sighed in anger, “What if you can’t find her?”
Karen looked at her with sharp amber eyes, “If I never get a chance to marry my Axe, I won’t ever marry any in my entire life.”
Yadivah slapped on his face, “Dare to say this? Karen, you are risking your life for her, you stopped calling me a mom for her. Fine, if you don’t listen to your mother, then I will command you as Luna.”
“You can’t use your tricks on me, Luna. I am ashamed to have my blood of yours. I wanted to rip my body off now. But I can’t, I want to find Axe before she got into any danger. And for extending your territory, you can’t you call the rogue to marry the daughter of the delta,” Karen spilt his anger-filled words towards his mother.
Karen left his palace of kingdom Ukada in search of Akshara. Yadivah tried to stop her son from his heartbreak but failed and exclaimed after him,
“My dear son, you don’t know the true meaning of your prophecy back in the witch palace. She won’t be yours, even if she is alive. According to her, she would have met her destiny by now. That will break your heart into pieces. Time will heal everything.”
