50. Wildfire of gossip

Zohan and Nora reclaimed the seat, and Karen found a seat to hear the conversation of the barmaids.
“How lucky... our roommate is?” Chaos said.
Ember questioned her, “Yeah... Lucky to be noticed by our crown prince,” Karen wondered whether their chat had anything to do with Nora or Akshara.
“Noticing... He chose her,” Nail said.
“She fell for him,” Ember remarked. “Who isn’t going to fall for him?”
“Why doesn’t she ever tell us about this... We’re her friends,” Chaos inquired.
“Temporary... We’re buddies for a while,” Nail added to the chat.
“Maybe she was only claiming to have memory loss... merely to disguise her relationship with our crown prince,” Nail stated.

“How can you say that?” Ember inquired of Nail. “When she arrived, our leader confirmed her virginity... Did you forget about that?”
“But her blood turned to gold,” Nail showed with her talk. “ It denotes that she belonged to the crown prince upon her arrival in Frozen Crescent. She is our crown prince’s possession.”
“I know about her history of arriving,” Alaso, who had recently joined their gossips, said. “Do you know?” Nail asked Alaso.
“Don’t exaggerate the things you don’t know...?” Ember interrupted their discourse.
“Are you speaking against me merely because of the bitch that arrived recently...?” Alaso said angrily.
Chaos consoled her, “No... We are not... Just don’t spread rumours you haven’t known for sure.”
“I spotted her when I was strolling along the shore seeking fresh air... she was on the sky and fell into the Fairy Tears,” Alaso recounted to them. “ The white dragon saved her. He was the one who helped save her life...”
Chaos questioned, “What more do you know?” Ember opened her mouth in disbelief, while Nail covered her lips with her fists. “Then why didn’t you notify her while she was suffering from memory loss.”
“Why would I?” said Alaso. “I felt she was displaying her talents...”
“Do you know who brought her here?” Ember inquired.
“Of course, it was THEM,” Alaso said.
“Them signifies... our crown prince and our general,” Nail stated.
Ember gulped some oxygen to fill her empty lungs, “You mean the white and the red?”
“In reality, I observed her every night. She spent the entire night with our royal prince and return to our dormitory at dawn appearing to be fatigued in the morning for her hard work,” Alaso stated.
“Why were you awake till dawn?” Ember inquired.
“I once unintentionally awakened at midnight and suspected that I’ll never find her in her bed, so I stepped out to find out what had happened to her,” Alaso challenged her. “Then I noticed...”
Nail cut her off with an urgent query, “Don’t stop, what did you see?”
“Such a nosy person in gossiping, nonetheless. Every night I had a suspicion that she is going somewhere, originally I believed she is sleepwalking or the effects of the wines,” Alaso smirked." But she wasn’t sleepwalking; she was on her way to visit our crown prince."
“How did you know that man she’s been courting is our crown prince?” Chaos inquired.
Alaso explained to them, “I followed her, she was talking with white phoenix. I waited to see the real identity of the phoenix. After she left, the white phoenix turned into our crown prince.”
Chaos stated, “Our Axe must be lucky to have our crown prince as her life partner.”
Karen’s heart skipped a beat to hear the name AXE from the conversation of barmaids, so he hurried to them and asked about them.
Karen asked, “Ladies...”
Ember, with a huge smile on her face, questioned Karen, “Sire, what kind of wine do you like...? If you don’t have a preference, I’ll assist you in making a decision. We have four different sorts of wine. The Eternal Bliss provides you divine ecstasy, the Black Pirate is for the strongest one who relishes failure, the Blue Vapour gives you delusions of pleasure, and Red Wine tastes better for singles...”
Karen inquired of them, “I’m not coming to you for wine. I was curious about the person you referred to as AXE...”
“Why do you want to know about her?” Chaos questioned, pushing Ember away from the table. “Who exactly are you...?”
Chaos turned towards Ember, “...Why do you grin at seeing a man. You cannot be chosen by anyone...”
Karen interrupted their conversations, “I am Karen... I am... I am related to Axe.”
Nail sighed, “Ha, why every man is behind her... Don’t know what jinx she possesses to attract all men. Crown prince is hers and now this handsome man is hers too.”
Ember manifested, “Oh... I feel happy for our Axe... she got the dragon, a wolf behind her. She must be something unique to attract such men.”
Alaso stopped Ember, “Stop glorifying her.” She forward to reply to Karen, “Sire... She is our barmaid... I don’t think the person you seek could be her...”
Karen asked her with an outrageous sense of impatience, “What is her name... How does she look like...?”
Alaso explained to him with a sigh, “She is Axe... Akshara... We don’t know about her past... She came here without her memories...”
Chaos added, “She… she had two birds as her pet.”
Alaso stared at Chaos and Ember with her anger filled flaming eyes, “Did he ask you? Why are you both benefiting her? Get lost from here.”
When Alaso was confronting her anger towards Chaos and Ember for being supportive of Akshara, Karen overwhelmed by the joy of finding her was stammered with words, “Axe... Akshara... She is my Axe... without memory... Oh... that’s why she can’t recognize me...I know her scent... but why can’t smell like her. What else do you know about her? Can you bring her here?”
Karen was sure that the person was surely his Akshara and urged them to bring her to him.
Ember replied, “Oh wolfman... You came late...”
Alaso warned them not to open their mouth. Karen quirked his words to them, “W-what h-happened, did you say late? What do you mean by LATE?”
Alaso replied, “Our crown prince chose her and just now they left...”
Karen got his world to be stopped for a moment and couldn’t find any possible ideas to bring her back to him. In a fury, it changed Karen to his wolf form and started smashing the bottles and glasses in the Ice Cave bar, “Axe, I am coming for you.”
The entire barmaids went inside to hide and Zohan rushed to help Karen. Karen got to his senses after struggling for a long time and his mind was fully occupied with rescuing Akshara.
Karen stood on the top of the table and growled to his stomach. The icicles of Frozen Crescent seemed to be shaken by the frequency of his howling.
Karen commanded Zohan, “Let us leave this place... We have to find Akshara”
Zohan asked Karen by mentioning Nora, “My lord... What do we do with her...?”
Karen quickened his thoughts and lifted her, saying, “She will lead us.”
Then he marched outside the Frozen Crescent to find the safest place for her. Karen ordered Zohan to find the nearest safest place for Nora until she got consciousness.

The Black Witch was scrying in her room with her crystal ball while Igikran entered the room in his bird form and changed to his original form.
“My Queen... Command me...”
The black witch replied, “You have a mission”
Igikran smirked with joy, “My Queen, I will thorough it with my clout”
The black witch added, “Complete the mission and seize the object which belongs to me from that Forbidden Tower”
Igikran bowed and flew to the Forbidden Tower to complete his mission.
The black witch enunciated to her, “The crystal gazing always benefited me. Finally, I found the Forbidden Tower with my powers. I am going to get what’s mine that was stolen from me for decades. Once I got my thing, I won’t spare anyone who dared to separate that from me... I am going to arise in supremacy and no one will sojourn me, this time. I am going to imperate this Daxino Uvet. I will not harmonize any single opportunity... Hahaha”
