94. Humanity of a Beast
The Ayruzians cheered to welcome Dev, but he maintained his equanimity when he looked at either side. On his right, it was his dearest friend, Ivan Shirk, who was chained to the ground, and on his left, he saw his hearty beloved girl, Akshara, who was soaked in her pool of blood with bruise marks.
When Dev looked into her eyes, her ever charming, exotic eyes were filled with tears. Akshara was broken into tears on seeing him. Akshara moved towards him but Dev looked away from her and hurried to stand by Nora.
Akshara was upset and remained silent about his action. Nora thought, "Why did Dev appear all of a sudden to ruin all my plans?" "Now he will defend her. My entire plot has been smashed." "Err, I lost again."
Nora tried to explain the situation to Dev, who stopped her by placing his arm around her shoulders. Nora looked at his hand and returned her looks to Dev who was facing forward.
Everyone, including Akshara, was shocked to see his actions with Nora. Nora was overwhelmed with joy, and Dev told her, "No need to explain. Just do it"
Akshara was devastated to witness the closeness of Dev towards Nora, and the words from his mouth pierced her heart with multiple numbers of demon knives. The tears rolled down her cheeks from her flared red eyes. When all the tears were drained from exotic eyes, they turned bright red with anger.
The royal guards took her by handcuffing her with chains. Akshara fixed her eyes on Dev, but Dev tried to catch her eyes. Finally, when Dev looked at her eyes, Akshara smiled at him to say, "THANK YOU!"
The word "Thank you" killed the love of Dev. Dev looked at Akshara without breaking his eye contact. Nora was anxious to think, "How she could smile even at her last minute. I don’t know why the words "Thank you" from her are making my insides tremble with guilt... Am I wrong? No... Taking what’s mine is not wrong."
Akshara thought to herself, "Why did you believe them, Dev? If I wanted to kill you, I would have done that in Frozen Crescent by poisoning the wines. Why would I come this far to kill you after everything? You have awakened my love for you. You made me love you, and now you crushed me under your feet by stripping my soul out of my body without any sedation. After all, you are nothing but a BEAST."
Akshara’s mind raced with random thoughts and she cursed him. But she doesn’t know that her voice, whether audible or mental voice, can be heard by Dev. Dev maintained his silence and watched till she was taken away from his sight. Until she was taken away, she fixed her flaring red eyes on Dev.
Ivan looked ferocious at his friend and his sister. He voiced to himself, "Nora...! Why did you go this far? I know you are capable of fighting to get what you want. But why did you choose the evil way to get back your love? My dear sister, you can’t live in peace while leaving your family in agony."
He looked at his friend, who placed his hand around his sister’s shoulder, and he understood the entire plot. He smiled at Dev, knowing the fact that he could read his mind, "Dev, you couldn’t have done it in a different way. Why this?
Though Dev could hear Ivan’s mind voice, his eyes were fixed only on Akshara, who was equally staring him with blood red eyes. Ivan was so sure that this incident wouldn’t change the things that were the way before.
The royal guards dragged Ivan Shirk into exile to Eldornagton, the kingdom’s arid volcano. Akshara was thrown into the dungeon as a portion of food for the ferocious animal.

Akshara was thrown into the deep dungeon as a portion of food for the ferocious animal. The royal soldiers closed the door of the cave and went away.
In the darkness, Akshara wailed hard to collect her strength to approach the ferocious animal. She crawled, crying, wiping her oozing blood and the ferocious animal and Akshara had come into eye to-eye contact.
Akshara sobbed hardly, "Eat me. I don’t want to live. I was betrayed brutally by a beast. Eat me and end my sufferings once and for all."
The animal stood and sniffed to smell Akshara. Akshara croaked in the stormy breath of the animal and heard the chirping sounds of her pet birds, Sun and Shine.
"At least they are safe in your control, not expecting humanity from beasts." Akshara wailed in anger and pain.
"You are back!" A voice echoed in the walls of the dungeon, and Akshara stopped her sobbing to look around. She followed the source of the voice and it ended with the ferocious animal.
"You are not in shape." "Your birds were noisy and I couldn’t sleep well." "I opened the cage but they didn’t want to come out." "Why aren’t you speaking? Are you the same human?"
Akshara was soaked in shock to hear the animal talk to her, "Yes, but a ferocious animal can talk?"
The animal replied, "I am not a ferocious animal. I am named El Detza. I won’t eat you, I can recognise you."
"El Detza?" Akshara jolted, "Why? But I don’t want to live?"
El Detza, the animal, told her, "I was ordered to take care of you, not kill you."
Akshara flared in anger, "Who ordered you? I am ordering you to eat me, now."
"It was ordered by the Crown Prince, no harm to you."(El Detza picked some fruits from the tree behind it and threw them at her.) Eat them and return to your corner."
Akshara caught the fruits thrown at her and looked at the fruits. She threw herself on the ground and shouted at the animal, "I don’t want this. I don’t want to be saved."
Akshara suddenly got something in her mind, "Did you mention the Crown Prince?" "Crown Prince! He is not in a clear mind. Eat me please. Just open your mouth, swallow me. Let me digest slowly inside your stomach. I won’t be an unhealthy food to your stomach." Akshara pleaded with teary eyes.
El Detza exhaled its breath at her and she was pushed back against the walls of the dungeon. Akshara balled her up, holding her knees, and cried aloud, allowing the dungeon walls to moan in her sorrow.
After a few hours, her crying became sober and El Detza threw some fruits at her, saying, "Eat this. It will heal you."
"I don’t want to be healed." Akshara replied, burying her head in her knees. She raised her head suddenly to realise something and checked her neck. The amulet was still on her neck. She tried to pull it and take it off of her. But nothing happened; it left only bruise marks on her neck.
Her pet birds came out of the cage and sat on her shoulders, chirping something in her ears. Akshara talked to them in heavy sobriety, "Only I lost my memory, but you know the truth since my birth. Am I raised by a witch? Werewolves are watching over me? Am I a witch too?"
"They're talking, but you can't hear them because you're not a witch, but a human. A pure-hearted, soulful human." El Detza replied her.
Akshara slowly listened to and asked, "Do you know anything about me?"
"Uh, I know many things, but who will ever listen to this ugliest, lonely creature in dungeon?" El Detza sighed.
"I will," Akshara raised her head, sat up and wiped her tears. "I wanted to know about myself. Who am I?"
"If you want to know about yourself, you should eat this fruit to heal you first and then come to Me." El Detza threw some more fruits.
Akshara hurriedly ate all the fruits, and her wounds healed quickly. She ran to El Detza and asked, "I ate all the fruits, please tell me now."
"Young girl, go away. I am so exhausted after being exhausted from doing nothing. I want to rest now. Sleep now." El Detza replied, which gave only anger.
Akshara climbed over El Detza, sat near its ear comfortably, and shouted endlessly at its ear, "Wake up, wake up, wake up."
Her annoying voice gave irritation to El Detza and, in return, he roared loudly to vent his irritation. It shook its head to slide Akshara from its neck, but she was holding tight to its neck. The roar was indeed loud, which could echo over the icy walls of the Ice Castle of Ayruzglow since Akshara was annoying the most ferocious animal in the world.
The roar did shake every Ayruzian's mind, including Nora's. Indigo was so sure about Akshara’s safety and she thought, "I know the understanding of that demon animal and Akshara. It won’t hurt her. But, this roar is indeed giving me only fear."
"My lady?" Indigo voiced at Nora, who was listening to the roar from the dungeon with a hand on her heart. Nora spoke, "Indy, is that a roar from the dungeon?"
"Yes, my lady." Indigo replied.
"Would it finish eating her?" Nora asked her.
"It might have Why don’t you go check by yourself to confirm her death?" Indigo suggested her.
Nora slapped Indigo’s cheeks and warned her, "I don’t want to die. You go check and inform me."
Indigo rubbed her cheeks while taking her steps to the dungeon to confirm Akshara’s survival. She hurried to the dungeon and saw the most intimidating sight.
Akshara was sitting on El Detza’s neck comfortably, like she was riding the ferocious animal. She looked magnificent in her appearance and appeared very gallant to tame the ferocious beast.
