53. Don’t make me a sinner

"Let me down slowly, Devil," Akshara whispered into his ears as they approached Frozen Crescent's second chamber, the royal chamber, "You don't need to carry me like this. It’s inappropriate for you to carry me like this.”
"It's only a few yards to the heart of the royal room. If I drop you, the brittle bones in your legs may break from numbness." Dev cautioned her, but he relished dragging her around with the feeling of SHE IS MINE.
"Stop frightening me, Devil; are you good at everything?" Akshara pretended to be enraged at being teased by him.
"You express your rage more readily than your love," Dev cocked his brow. "What exactly do you mean by 'everything’?”
"Hmm... (Akshara bit her lower lips to persuade him) I mean to emphasise your charms, your physic, and your eyes everything."
"What about my eyes? What makes my eyes more attractive to you?" Dev verbally expressed his feelings towards her.
She made fun of his looks. "I adore the colour of your eyes. It's as cold as water. However, less pigmentation in your hair causes it to be white."
"It's silver, not white. There is a difference. There's a lot more to learn about me, my eternal bliss.”
“Why do you call me bliss, since it’s not my name?”
“The eternal bliss is one of the topmost flavours of wines in Frozen Crescent”
“So you name me after your favourite flavour of wine?”
“You know what the eternal bliss does, (Dev licked his lips) the way you feed me the eternal bliss, huh, awesome?”
Akshara covered her face with her hands. “Don’t talk about that, Devil. Stop recalling that.”
“Let’s take our minute to know us. Distance your fear, shyness and blush on me for a while to know us better.” Dev dropped her slowly and when Akshara was about to move away from him, he pulled her towards him.
"I just dropped you down since you were barely blushing. I never ask you to go, do I?" Dev inquired, a wicked grin spreading over his lips. Akshara took a step back, her gaze wandering as she looked for a place to sit.
"I want to ask you something, can I?" Akshara stuttered and hesitated.
Dev nodded enthusiastically and waved his fingers, illuminating the royal chamber. The royal chamber's icicles glittered with blue light, and pink-hued ice flowers grew on the royal chamber's chilly walls.
“Sure. That's what I meant when I said we should get to know each," Dev added, briefly beautifying the royal room with his magical talents.
"Who or what are you?" Akshara took a long breath and braced herself for his rage to erupt in response to this query.
Dev paused at his action to catch a glimpse of her. "Your husband for sure."
Dev edged closer to her, reducing the distance between them. She took a step back as he approached her, "Your soul mate, you’re..."
"Huh, I don't inquire about it. I'd want to inquire about your species kind, as I am human." As her legs backend her steps, Akshara fumbled for words.
"I am a white..."
"You have white hair," Akshara interjected (giggled). "You're a centenarian."
Dev locked his gaze on her and stepped in close to encircle her with his arms against the walls. She quickly closed her mouth, afraid of being kissed. "I am a hybrid of a white dragon with golden blood and a white wizard with healing powers," he explained.
Akshara nodded swiftly as if her head were about to come off her body. He continued, “So you're my bride, partner, love, mate..."
Dev stared her in the eyes and, after observing her anxieties, waved his hands to create additional pink-hued frosty flowers. "Whoa, I never knew you could do these wonders," Akshara said as the miraculous flower appeared.
"I want to see love in your eyes, not dread of seeing me," Dev said as he continued to create more colourful frosty flowers in purple, yellow, and orange. "If you want, I am a lot more capable of accomplishing anything."
"Hmmm, I want... (She closes one eye and shrinks the other) I'd like to see visible flakes of snow. Are you sure you can do that?" Akshara pleaded with him as if she were a kid.
With a wink, Dev scoffed at her and waved his fingers again. A glimmer landed on the freezing ceiling of the royal room, and snow began to fall. Akshara was ecstatic and leapt to catch the snowflakes with delight.
Dev glanced at her and ran his gaze around her, inch by inch, admiring her beauty. "She bounced like a feather on the ice floor. My heart flutters along with hers. Her piercing gaze shatters my dragon heart. My magnificent wizard spirit has been captivated by her human spirit. I am destined to this eternal bliss."
Akshara leapt barefoot twisted her waist and stretched her hands to catch falling snowflakes. Her black wavy hair drooped over her shoulders, her pinkish lips grinned, and her black grapy eyes fluttered in glee.
Dev, who had been battling to contain his emotions, coughed and felt the environment heated. "It's very hot here," he said as he removed his shirt.
“Hot? How can you feel hot while snow is falling with chillness, frozen flowers, and icy walls, huh?" Akshara told him and turned to see what was making him heated.
Dev stood shirtless, chest out, abs exposed, and powerful arms. He brushed his silver hair backwards and attempted to divert his attention away from Akshara by gazing someplace else.
"Oh my gosh, now I'm hot after seeing his divisive figure," Akshara rolled her eyes, arched her brows, and swiftly faced down. Her attention was drawn to the pink-hued frosty blossoms. She stepped closer to the walls to appreciate the frosty blooms while keeping her corner eyes on him.
"What did you just say?" Dev inquired. Akshara gave a negative nod. "I don't know... I just..."
She was ashamed to have spoken it out loud and wanted to look at him. She saw him with her corner eyes, and he was resting on the chilly bed he'd made with his legs crossed one over the other, his hands behind his head like a pillow.
"Have you already found one?" Akshara inquired as she approached him, her gaze locked on his abs. "Where will I sleep?"
Dev remained silent, his gaze riveted above the ice ceiling. He extended his ice bed with a swish of his hand. After observing him, Akshara came to a halt.
“What? Relax," Dev patted on the extended bed without glancing at her.
After a few moments of stillness, Dev turned to face her. Akshara remained still, staring at him. He shifted his position to the side, facing her, his hand supporting his head.
"Are you not sleeping?" Dev inquired, his icy blue iris perplexing.
Akshara gave a negative nod without losing eye contact. "We have a big day ahead of us," Dev said, "so relax when you have time."
Akshara tried to cover her face with her hands, which were flaming reddishly, and the coolness under her feet aroused her hormones. Her exotic gaze was drawn to his bare chest, and his uninterrupted eye contact encouraged her deep love for him. Her amulet shines brightly.
As soon as Akshara sat on the ice bed, she exhaled with a smile and leapt. Dev took a seat. "You can't stand this cold?”
"I can't stand this chillness. It's too much for me to keep back. Is it possible to acquire a warmer bed? Do wheesh - whoosh magic to fetch me one," Akshara explained her requirements with her hands.
Dev pulled his shoulders back, and his enormous white wings emerged behind his spines. Akshara was taken aback by the abrupt appearance of his wings. "I'll have to get used to these wings," she sighed. “But why do you have wings, now?"
"Get on, sleep on my wings. It's compact enough to accommodate you and it's warmer." Instead of providing her with a blanket with his jinx, Dev offered her his wings.
"How astute is he? Instead of lending his wings to sleep next to me, he may make the blanket." Her mind's voice echoed around the walls, which terrified Akshara. “What?”
Dev gave her a kind grin. "I jinxed this place, and it will repeat your inner voice. So, rather than mind voicing, communicate to me with audible words."
Akshara became further humiliated, and Dev warned her, "Blanket will perceive the coolness from outside when it is higher. However, my wings are warmer as a result of my body heat because I have been hot."
"Hot?" she thought, and her notion was mirrored. Akshara gave her a sheepish look and a facepalm.
“Yes, I feel hot after watching your beauty and naughty. I won’t touch you until you wish for it. So I guarantee you a warm and restful night's sleep." Dev told her as he faced the ceiling.
"I shouldn't face him," Akshara said as she climbed onto the ice bed with his warm wings spread.
Akshara smacked her lips as they resonated. “Sorry...”
"You are accurate. Don't look at me. Turn the other way." Dev steered her.
Dev filed a gesture with his eyes to go on the bed. Akshara followed his instructions and slid against his face. Dev extends his hand and covers her with his other huge wing, allowing her to lay her head on his hand. The amulet around her neck lit quickly, alerting him to the fact that she was in love with him.
Akshara touched his hand and was about to turn to ask him, Dev stopped her by placing his hand on her shoulder and moving towards her ear and whispered, “No, don’t turn. I barely am controlling my aroused emotions. Your eyes, your youth triggering me to be a sinner.”
Akshara could hear her loud heartbeats in his every spoken word, she tightly closed her eyes when Dev sniffed her fragrance and told her, “Sleep...”
The sleep hit their torturing minds, and their souls wander in their dreams. Dev slide into his dream world by merging his dream with hers. Akshara was dreaming the same.
In her dreams, Akshara approached him, ignoring his warnings. "I told you not to turn my side," Dev said, her face closing in on his.
"It's my dream, and I have the flexibility to do anything I want."
"Are you willing to accept the consequences?"
“Consequences? I'd rather not think about it after marrying you."
“Tell me, what is it you desire, then?” Dev asked her in a husky voice.
Akshara gave him a grin and brought her head closer to his. She instantly put her hand behind his neck and drew him in for a long, passionate kiss.
Dev attempted to suppress his love for her even in his dreams, but her exotic gaze forced him to give in to her desire. "Is this what you truly desire?"
"What's the harm? You want me to rest easy with a seductive, passionate, magnificent, and powerful husband by my side?"
"Why show up in a dream?" Dev inquired as he ran his fingers across her face.
“Dreams are dreams anyway. It has no leverage on reality once we wake up." Akshara persevered on conquering her dread of approaching him since she believed her destiny was to be with him forever.
Dev drew her near and kissed her passionately after sensing her desire in their dreams.
