82. Undeniably Mine

“I will pick her too.” Dev smirked with his mysterious smile and sharp-gazing, icy blue eyes. Ivan was shaken and out of words. “Oh, then it isn’t wrong for the crown prince to marry many people. But I was concerned about whether your siren would share you.”
“Why wouldn’t you see?” Dev chuckled and sighed. “I look eagerly forward to seeing her and I wonder what tricks she has to impress me with her looks as being the competitor to these beautiful princesses.”
All the brides seated in their allotted chairs, Akshara, entered the throne room with a beaming smile on her face. Everyone was shocked to see her outfit and soon turned their heads to see Dev, where he was focused on his love, Akshara.
Everyone laughed at her outfit, but that didn’t shake the confidence of Akshara. She made her outfit exclusively of white large feathers and got ridiculed for wearing such a thing.
Nora voiced to Indigo, “No wonder I named her the dungeon girl. She is senseless to wear feathers as her outfit.” She laughed hilariously, but Indigo kept contending. All the four brides laughed, except Enerva and Indigo.
Indigo replied to Nora’s voice to let everyone know, including the subjects near them. “My lady, she isn’t wearing ordinary dungeon trash feathers,” Indigo said louder. “those are white feathers. No one in this world has white wings except our queen and crown prince.”
All exhaled sudden shock, and Nora bubbled in anger at hearing these sayings, yet Indigo didn’t stop her explanation, “Our queen hasn’t used her wings ever since the departure of our king.”
Enerva replied in an enthusiastic tone, “So, those feathers belong to the Crown Prince!” Enerva jumped in joy, “Oh, what a thoughtful insight she has to impress him. She is wearing his feathers as her outfit. What a famous notion she has! Now I admire her more.”
Zerena, the blonde bride in a crimson outfit, showed her disapproval with knitted brows. “Shut it, Enerva. Are you not worried that the crown prince might choose her over us?”
Enerva chuckled at Zerena. “Do you still think we stand a chance to be chosen by the Crown Prince? I haven’t before and after seeing Axe and her outfit, I have confirmed it.”
Zerena was even more angry with Enerva’s words, and her eyes emitted flames of wrath. At the perfect time, Avika stopped the verbal fight between Zerena and Enerva. “Why do you both fight for a crown prince who doesn’t even bother to look in our direction?”
D’Rona agreed with Avika’s statement. “Look at him. He fixed his eyes on her ever since she entered the throne room. She, too, is looking at him the same way. Isn’t it clear enough that they ridiculed us by inviting us to witness how they exhibit their love?”
Dev’s icy blue eyes were fixed on her; a prestigious smile appeared on his corner lips. Ivan gasped and looked at Akshara. “Dev, what is she wearing? Are those your feathers?”
“Indeed, it’s mine.” Dev replied in a proud tone, still fixing his eyes on Akshara. “She saved my fallen feathers and used them to make her outfit.”
Dev felt delighted and pride in her act of embellishing her outfit. “She makes her ultimate move to impress me... I’m impressed.”
Dev told Ivan without turning his face away from Akshara, “I am impressed. Ivan, look, this is my siren’s call. Tell me what I should do now? Who will I pick to be my bride over her?”
“Why are you asking me when you have already fixed it in your mind? Speak out, let the world hear your bride’s name.” Ivan remarked, “Axe might wear anything colourful like other princesses, but she chooses your feathers. I thought she had thrown your feathers in the dungeon trash.”
Ivan continued fuming jealous flames, “Huh, I have zero tolerance for witnessing your love. Each of you no less to other in exhibiting their love, I am done, Dev, you won’t know how powerful the curse of the unmated dragon is .”
“Go ahead, Ivan. I am a wizard. I can break any spell or curse.” Dev sniffed the pride in watching her. He gasped by pointing to Akshara. “My siren, my bride, my Sara, mine.”
Ivan bellowed, “My mind inside the dragon’s skull is exploding. Only she can be your bride, Dev.”
“Undeniably mine,” Dev exclaimed, his eyes still fixed on Akshara.
They filled the throne room with murmuring sounds; Anyone did not announce Akshara’s presence. She felt a little worried about not knowing her background history. To everyone’s surprise, Jaravles stepped forward with a smile, and Akshara looked surprised to see the Dark Knight approaching.
“Uncle Arav? What are you...” Dev stood to ask him directly, but was instantly interrupted by Jaravles’ smile. As he didn’t get any positive reply, Dev asked Ivan, “What is he up to?”
“I didn’t know, but I can predict he has a bigger surprise. He has his rare smile on his face, which I have never seen in centuries.” Ivan pronounced.
“My Queen, I seek your permission to introduce our seventh bride to our people,” Jaravles asked, and the Queen nodded immediately.
Jaravles looked at Dev, who had a puzzled face, and eyed him with a positive gesture and introduced Akshara. Akshara said to Jaravles in a soft voice, “Dark knight, are you going to ask me about my history? I have known none since I lost my memory.”
“I have mine, which is more than enough.” Jaravles told her, mentioning his memories and voiced enough to reach the entire throne room, “This serene beauty uniquely dressed in white feathers is named Akshara. She is a human born to her human parents named Harsha and Sinentha.”
Akshara was terrified to hear about her history and delighted to know about her parents. Soon her exotic eyes were clouded with happy tears and she listened quietly to Jaravles to reveal more about her and resonated with her parents’ names, “Harsha and Sinentha—both are beautiful names.”
Jaravles continued, after the murmuring noise in the throne room had been set out, “Harsha was a well-known and famous healer of his time. He is also a good friend of our king and mine too. Akshara was the one and only daughter of Healer Harsha, who had been a leader in his community and resided in the place named Ardna Chirig. His people considered him their king. So Akshara is no less and it is appropriate to address her with the title ‘Princess’.”
“Phew, now she is a princess too. Then we should inform our kingdom to send our transportation in no time.” Avika the glacier beauty sighed and informed other brides to do the same.
Nora was ragged to the core, murmuring to herself, “Princess! Then she is a dungeon princess.”
Akshara’s eyes were filled with pearl drops of tears and she wanted to know about her parents and the sudden thought of the present she had prepared for the queen. She stammered, “My Queen, I brought something for you. She showed the hair embellishment of a shaped moon and sun.”
Akshara voiced with her sizzling tone, “My queen, I don’t bring any presents to represent my family. (Akshara paused.) But I brought one which would make you to laugh.”
Akshara looked at the embellishment and continued, “You are the queen of this kingdom. Everything is yours, and you have everything. So I am doubtful whether it would please you.”
Akshara handed over the embellishment of the moon and sun to the soldier who gave it to the queen. Akshara’s presence initially brought lines of tension to the Queen’s forehead, which soon vanished and a smile emerged from her lips.
“You don’t need to bring any, because your unique outfit and amulet speak for themselves,” Mirabella said as she turned to face her son Dev. Akshara followed Mirabella’s eyes and fixed on Dev, who smiled with pride at her.
