Chapter 19: Bright idea
**Elliot’s Point of view**
I thought that the simple fact that she touched me made me lose my mind. I was wrong.
From the moment her lips touch mine, nothing else exists. The sparks between us are so strong that I feel like she is electrocuting me. Everyone talks about the sparks between mates like a deep current, but I feel like I've been struck by lightning.
There is nothing light about this kiss. We collide violently, too eager to finally taste each other.
I capture her lower lip and suck it, my hands gripping her head to make sure she doesn't escape. Her hands are in my hair, pulling it violently.
She moans, slightly parting her lips and I take the opportunity to deepen our kiss.
My blood pulses at a crazy rate, fueling my erection pressed against her. She swirls her tongue around mine, pressing me even closer to her, causing me to grunt appreciatively.
My reaction seems to add to her excitement as the smell of her arousal intensifies, making me even harder. A real vicious circle.
The room is silent and our moans and grunts echo in the large room. Her hands suddenly go under my shirt, rubbing my abs. Her fingernails on my back make my head spin a little more and I press my hand under her ass, pulling her closer to me.
She wraps her legs around my hips, enclosing me in her heat. The pressure of her thighs against my sides makes me lose all reason.
I push her backward, putting her on the table with a thud. She gasps in surprise and pulls back just enough for me to see her flushed face and swollen lips. Her eyes are two burning infernos and I don't waste another second before kissing her again.
She responds with as much passion and urgency as I do, her hands tugging at my hair once more.
Her arousal grows stronger and stronger and I groan as she rubs against me. She moans and we bury our heads in each other's necks. She kisses and licks the crock of my neck, where I hope she will mark me one day. The sparks get even stronger and an intense pleasure runs through me. I am so close to explode that I bite hard on her neck and she starts to scream in pain.
I step back quickly. "Shit. I'm sorry. Are you okay?"
We're still very close to each other but her eyes are closed. Concerned, I gently stroke her cheek. "Alice?"
She abruptly opens her eyes and they go glassy, a sign that someone is mind-linking her. Her eyebrows furrow and she pulls away from me. The loss of contact with her is violent, but I push it aside as she starts pacing the room.
If she didn't look so worried, I would find her super sexy with her red skin and messy hair. I realize that my clothes are a mess and as I straighten up a bit, she freezes and her eyes land on me.
She seems upset and starts pacing faster again. I want to ask her what is wrong, to take her in my arms to reassure her but I don't want to interrupt her.
After what seems like an eternity her attention finally turns to me.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Owen rejected Sam. Melanie tells me he's crush." I grit my teeth. He had warned me, but I didn't think he was serious. "Wait, you knew about this?" I hesitate a little too long and she walks away, shocked. "I can't believe it. Why didn't you tell me?"
I raise an eyebrow. "What difference would it have made?"
"Everything! I would have stayed with him to comfort him. Or I would have gone to Owen to change his mind!"
I smile. "I thought you wanted us all to reject each other?"
She says nothing, her eyes throwing daggers at me. My smile widens because for once, she can't find anything to respond to.
She grits her teeth, angry. "That's not all. My father knows I went to see Alpha Jack last night and he's not happy. According to Melanie, he's bloody furious. Since I told Alpha Jack that I wanted our three packs to join forces to drive the rogues out of town, he's getting the wrong idea."
I huff. "Tell me about it! As soon as I hinted to my dad to join forces he started yelling at me. I'll try to talk to mother. She was quiet during our exchange and maybe she'll be less stubborn than he is."
"Good luck with that! I think my mom tried to convince my dad to look for enemies somewhere other than under his nose but he wouldn't listen."
I shake my head. "We'll never convince them. But if we don't ally our packs we have no chance of getting rid of the rogues. They think these are just attacks that won't last, but you and I know the truth."
She sighs. "Yes. At least now we know that the second phase was to make us think it was the other pack that was behind it so we would destroy each other."
"Exactly. And that's what's going to happen if we can't get our fathers to change their minds."
We think for a moment and then her eyes light up.
"You, you have an idea." I say.
She smiles. "There's only one person who can convince them."
I frown. "Who? We didn't make it, our moms probably won't make it either, and they don't even listen to Alpha Jack anymore. I don't see who could convince them."
She smiled machiavellian, "Did I say convince? I meant compel."
I remain silent for a moment before I understand what she has in mind.
"You can't be serious."
"Yes, I am very serious. We will call the King."
"The King. Seriously? We're never going to be able to ask him that."
"Not from him. We'll go through Prince Benjamin. We bonded this summer and he gave me his number."
I can't stop Leo from growling in jealousy, but we quickly stop when Alice gives me a reproachful look.
I clear my throat. "I've met him and we are friends too. He is an excellent fighter and he's very wise. He will be a great King."
She nods. "Yes, he will. That's why I think he will listen to us."
"Us?"
"Yes. It will be more serious if we call him together. It will show him that we are not taking this lightly and that we are already willing to cooperate."
I nod. She's right. Without wasting another second, she calls him and he picks up after the second ring.
"Hello?"
"Prince Benjamin hello, this is Alpha Alice from Blue Moon Pack and I'm with Alpha Elliot from Red Moon Pack. We're sorry to bother you so late but we need your help."
"You're with Elliot?"
We look at each other surprised. He knows our packs hate each other, but he doesn't seem very shocked that we're hanging together.
"Hello Prince Benjamin. Yes, it's me. Our packs and Silver Moon have been under attack by rogues for several weeks and we have reason to believe they are acting on behalf of an enemy Alpha so we decided to join forces."
He huffs. "Cut the crap both of you. I know your secret."
We look at each other, panicked. How does he know we've already been hunting in town without permission? No one does!
"Our secret? What do you mean?" Asks Alice.
"I know you're mates."
