Chapter 27: Aggression

**Elliot’s Point of view**

After telling everything to Owen and Simon, I make a detour to my room. Even if Alice had camouflaged her smell, I prefer to take a shower to be sure that absolutely nothing remains. Grandpa Georges has a real detector in his nose. He knows if you stay too long near a Blue. A real superpower.
In the shower, I think about my friends' reactions when I told them my mom and Luna Mary's story. Owen didn't say a word but Simon was ecstatic. The fact that the Moon Goddess was so involved and that She had already tried to bind our packs drove him crazy.
Simon went into Sherlock Holmes mode and already had a notebook with all the evidence and theories he had. Owen then called him an idiot for writing it all down in a notebook that anyone can find and read. So we destroyed it.
We also learned that Simon and Melanie had decided to accept each other. He was all red and smiled as he told us about their first kiss and their great declarations of love. I didn't know he was so romantic.
It makes me a little jealous to see his eyes shining when talking about his mate and their perfect story but I'm still happy for him. At least one of us will have a happy ending. Well, almost. They both made the decision not to mate and mark until Alice and I made it official. Great. No pressure.
But I don't blame Simon. I know he did it so he wouldn't put my back against the wall. Indeed, if he had mate and mark Melanie and Alice decided to reject me, it would have been complicated. Our packs would still have been linked so one of them would have to give up his Gamma title to join the other.
And it's not even sure! I know my dad would never agree to take in an ex-Blue, for fear she would spy on our pack. I guess Alpha John must think the same way so Simon and Melanie would have no choice but to join another pack, probably the Silver one.
Indeed, it has happened several times that Red and Blue have been bonded by the Moon Goddess but most of the time they reject each other immediately, too used to hate each other. Very few have decided to leave to join another pack.
I sigh and get out of the shower. All these lives were wasted for nothing.
I look in the mirror and find myself tired. All the pressures, secrets and sleepless nights seem to be catching up to me and I just want to sleep and forget about all this. The rogue attacks, the mastermind behind it, the mates, the marks given by the Moon Goddess, the responsibilities that go with it, the story of my mother and Luna Mary. Alice. Everything. I just want to be able to forget everything for a few hours.
Suddenly, I feel the air moving behind me, slightly to my left. By pure reflex acquired by years of intensive training, I bend to my right with superhuman speed and feel an excruciating pain along my left leg. Leaning forward, I kick back, praying that it will crush my opponent's nose, but I only hit his torso.
I turn around to face a man dressed in black. His hood shows only his eyes, which are as black and expressionless as those of a shark. In his hand is a knife covered with my blood that glows in the darkness.
Silver. Lethal for werewolves.
I already feel weakened by the blow he gave me on my leg which does not heal by the way. I would be lucky if it doesn't leave a scar.
He stares at me without moving and his self-confidence blows me away. He is attacking an Alpha and he acts as if he has already won. For a moment I wonder if he has the wrong person but I quickly dismiss this hypothesis.
He still hasn't moved and it makes me more and more uncomfortable. The guy attacks me in my room then freezes like a fucking statue. Since he doesn't seem to attack me again, I decide to question him.
"Who are you and why are you here?" No answer. "Did someone send you?" Still no answer. "Either we fight or we talk but we're not going to stare at each other like two idiots for hours." He tilts his head to the side, not blinking. His hand clenches on his knife and I don't wait for another second and grab my sword which is lying next to my desk, a meter away from me.
He jumps on me at the same time and I spend the next few minutes blocking his attacks and trying to hit him.
I quickly realize that we are equal in strength and that he must have Alpha blood. Yet, neither Leo nor I feel that special aura that Alphas have, which is more than strange.
*"He has no smell. Maybe that masks his aura too. We've been around Alice for nights on end without suspecting for a moment that she was an Alpha."* Leo says to me. *"Let me take control so I can rip his head off!"*
*"No. The room is too small and if we shift he will have no trouble stabbing us since we can't dodge. Besides, I don't think the wound caused by the silver will allow us to do that."*
Then without any reason he freezes and runs away by the window, exploding the glass in the process. At the same time, my father accompanied by Owen and Simon enter my room.
I hear my father yelling through mind link.* "To the whole pack. An intruder has broken into Elliot's room to try to kill him. He seems to be heading for the city. Use whatever means necessary to stop him. I WANT HIM ALIVE!"*
Owen and Simon are already supporting me and carrying me to my bed.
"We heard some noise. Because of the soundproofing, we thought you had just fallen but we couldn't get you to mind link so we thought something was wrong. How is your leg? Do you have any other injuries?" Owen asks me urgently while Simon examines my wound.
As my father walks towards me, I feel a violent pain everywhere. The pain is such that I scream and everyone around me panics, trying to figure out where it's coming from. But I have a strange impression that it is not mine.
*"No, it's not us. It's mate! Mate is hurt!"* Leo says to me, completely panicked.
No. Alice!
