Chapter 69: Ceremony

**Alice’s Point of view**

*"Get a grip, for Goddess' sake!"* Cassie tells me impatiently.
I nervously pace around my old room, biting my nails as I go.
After visiting the Silvers, we announced the King's decision to our parents, who took it surprisingly well. They were a little sad to retire early, but they admitted it was for the best. They hated each other too long to cooperate so quickly.
We decided to build a new packhouse on neutral ground, right in the center of town.
Oh yeah. Since the packs are now united, the corridors that were set up are no longer useful and the King also wants us to take care of the city so that we don't have a 'dead zone' in the middle of our territory. Great. Even more area to manage.
So Elliot and I had to plan our wedding in less than a week and I can't thank enough our entire new pack for their help.
The big day is here and I am super nervous. I know this is the right choice, and this is really what I want. There is no doubt in my mind and yet here I am pacing around in my underwear.
Melanie knocks and enters in the stride. "Show me that makeup and hair and OH GODDESS WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR MANICURE?" She screams, horrified.
I stop and take a look at my nails and grimace.
My mother comes running in with a kit of false nails. She looks at me disapprovingly and begins to quickly apply them.
"That's better. Now sweetie, I don't want to rush you but the ceremony starts in 15 minutes. You should get dressed." My mother says softly.
I jump up and put on the beautiful white dress I had chosen. I didn't want a princess-style wedding dress with frills all over but I wanted to be beautiful.
I opted for a satin mermaid dress with embroidery on the long sleeves. The back is bare and the edges are lace. It reaches my feet and there is a trail of about 1 meter. I wanted to be free to move.
Melanie and my mother gasp when they see me, one hand in front of the mouth.
"You are beautiful Alice!" They say in unison.
I turn to the mirror and see that the hairdresser and makeup artist have done a great job.
I look at myself and start shaking with stress.
*"I can't believe it!"* Cassie gets impatient. *"We got kidnapped, we fought your parents, Derek, an army, we were hit by a car, Elliot almost died and we almost burned. It's ridiculous to be shaking now!"*
*"I'm stressed, I'm allowed right?*"
*"No. We're going to get married to the man we love and become the Luna of the new pack. I don't see why you're stressing."*
*"The Alpha! Not the Luna! Co Alpha to be exact."*
She huffs and I sigh, turning to Elliot's mother who has just entered. She has tears in her eyes.
"You look beautiful, Alice. Elliot is very lucky."
I swallow. "How is he? As the human tradition, we've been out of touch since last night."
She laughs softly. "He's at least as nervous as you are, and he's tired of waiting and has been circling since this morning."
It's finally time to go and my father comes to get me. He too has tears in his eyes and he kisses me tenderly. I know he doesn't like Elliot very much but he's making an effort and I hope that with time, old grudges will disappear.
He turns to me with a look of doubt in his eyes.
"Alice, are you happy?" He asks me very seriously.
I nod with a big smile. "Much more than I ever dreamed."
He smiles back at me and takes my arm. He accompanies me to the altar on the Wagner Walk.
The crowd is huge, bringing together the ex-Reds, Blues and some Silvers. Of course, the Royal family has been invited as well as some allied Alphas.
We slowly go down the aisle under the gaze of the guests but I only have eyes for the man who is waiting for me near the altar.
Never has he been so handsome. He wears a black suit with a bow tie, contrasting with his windblown red hair and his green eyes that pierce my soul.
I don't let go of his gaze, not even when my father gives him my hand and the sparks explode between us. Still not when we swear to protect this pack and put it first. Still not when we exchange vows.
"Elliot Griffin, do you take Alice Moore here to be your wife?"
"Yes, I do."
"Do you promise to love and to cherish her, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse? "
"Yes, I do."
"Alice Moore, do you take Elliot Griffin here to be your husband?"
"Yes, I do."
"Do you promise to love and to cherish him, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse?"
"Yes, I do."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
We don't waste another second and throw ourselves on each other to the cheers of the crowd.
He gently steps aside. "I wish I could tell you how beautiful you are but I can't. There are no words."
I laugh and kiss him on the cheek before whispering in his ear. "And I wish I could tell you how it makes me feel to see you in a suit but this isn't the time or place."
He gasps and I feel him harden against my thigh. I giggle and kiss him again on the cheek before I turn to the crowd.
"Thank you all for coming. We are very happy to finally be united and we have something to tell you."
"We wanted to announce to you that the Silver's have decided to join us." Says Elliot.
Most people start whistling and clapping, delighted with the news, and I spot a group that is going to give us trouble.
Former Blues and former Reds whose hatred seems to be too deeply rooted. Elliot wants to give them time to get used to the situation but I already know how it will end. I even made a bet with Leo that the stakes are ... interesting.
The crowd seems to calm down and I continue, eager to unveil the new name we have found.
"From this moment on, we are one. We swear to protect this pack with our lives and to make it our top priority. We swear to be the Alphas that Full Moon Pack deserves."
