Chapter 112

Sasha
She carefully rolled over on Aiden to lay on her arms on his chest. He had heavy bags under his eyes. She ran her fingers lightly over his cheek below his eyes. She leaned down to kiss him softly.
“Did you sleep at all, my king?”
He gave her a small smile. “Not a wink.”
He wrapped his arms around her and rolled them in the air. Her legs went around his waist and he pulled her shorts aside to slip two fingers inside of her. She pushed up against him.
“Aiden… make-”
Her body trembled and she put her hands on his shoulders. She shuddered again and he froze, pulling his fingers out of her. She pushed away from him and began to fall. Her wings came out as she angled her body back towards the castle with Aiden right behind her. Her body shook again and Irina got excited, urging her faster. As she neared the castle, she saw Ethan standing guard on the balcony. Her heart started to pound harder.
“Ethan,” she whispered.
Aiden growled behind her, but she ignored him, speeding up. She landed on the ledge and Ethan helped her down, letting her go as soon as her feet touched the ground. The french doors were opened seconds before she reached them and she hurried into the room. Her siblings and their mates were inside along with both of their fathers and Jo. Fear crept up and she stopped.
“What’s going on?,” she asked anxiously.
Lily and Casey pointed towards the fire excitedly. Sasha knelt in front of the fireplace and her eyes widened when she saw their egg move and the sound of crying came from within. She reached for it, but Aiden beat her to it. He lifted the egg out of the fire and set it on her lap. She ran her hands over it excitedly. He sat behind her with his chest pressed against her back. His arm went around her waist and his other hand landed on top of hers, following it all over their egg.
It wiggled again and scraping came from within. Irina pushed forward, watching their egg wobble. Suddenly, she breathed out and her fire, which felt different, was absorbed into the egg. Aiden put his chin on her shoulder and copied her actions. His fire raced over her skin, leaving a trail of liquid behind it. Sasha raised her hand to stare at it as Irina breathed out again moistening the egg again.
“Why is our fire wet?,” she asked.
“It’s to make the egg easier to break,” Irina answered, before taking her turn to breathe on the egg.
They kept going back and forth until the egg started to crack with the movements of the baby. Irina and Mikhail slowly peeled shell pieces away from the almost clear inner membrane of the egg. Mikhail had Aiden hold the bottom of the egg while Irina cautiously pierced the side of the soft membrane. She inserted two fingers inside to widen the hole, letting the fluid inside rush out.
The baby’s cry instantly got louder and Sasha had to take a deep breath to keep from wildly tearing into the rest of what separated them from their newborn. Kalani and Jo handed Aiden towels, backing away quickly when Sasha growled at them. She peeled the rest of the membrane away. She melted when the most beautiful little girl looked back up at her. She lifted her out of the egg to cradle her in her arms as Aiden gently wiped the egg fluid off of her.
“Hey, Gregory?”
“Yeah?”
“Do we have room in the dungeon for a bassinet?”
Everyone stared at him as Sasha bared her teeth.
“We are not putting Roselynn in the fucking dungeon.”
“Roselynn?,” he asked. “Don't I get a say in her name?”
“No. Her name is Roselynn Anastasia Jameson.” She leaned down to kiss their daughters forehead. “You’re just as perfect as your father,” she murmured softly.
She lifted her shirt and Aiden growled behind her. Everyone except Kalani, Lily and Casey ran out of the room. She guided Roselynn’s mouth to her nipple, talking softly to her as she tried to get her to latch. Her sisters sat a few feet from her, watching her with huge smiles on their faces. Aiden stroked the baby’s soft hair lovingly.
“She looks just like her mama.”
Sasha grinned. “She is certainly beautiful.”
She rocked back and forth. Aiden kissed her cheek.
“You are so wonderful, baby,” Aiden murmured. “Thank you for giving me my life.”
Sasha turned her head to look at him. “I want a DNA test.”
He pulled back startled to narrow his eyes at her. “Excuse me?”
She met his eyes. “You heard me. I want a DNA test.”
He bared his teeth. “Why?”
“Because when she was conceived you thought I was cheating on you. I want you to be a million percent sure that she is yours.”
He tilted her chin up. “I know she’s mine.”
“Can you just appease me?,” Sasha asked.
He ran his eyes over her face. “On one condition.”
“What’s that?”
“I want to be married by the end of the week.”
She stopped rocking. “Aiden…”
He touched her cheek. “It’s the last thing, my queen. We have marked each other and had a baby. This little piece of paper for the humans is nothing next to that. So, what’s it going to be?”
She smiled and laid her cheek on the baby’s head. “How am I going to plan a whole wedding in a week?”
He tilted his head to Casey and Lily who were already quivering with excitement. “Cotton candy and ponies?”
Sasha burst out laughing. “Cotton candy and ponies,” she agreed, as she leaned against him.
She yawned and he picked her up. He carried her and their daughter to the bed.
“Rest here while I go get a bassinet, sweetheart.” He leaned down to kiss Roselynn’s forehead. “I love you both. I will be back as soon as I can.” He was almost to the door when he came back to bend over their baby again. “By the way, little Roselynn, I’m your daddy and I will be your favorite.”
Sasha’s laughter followed him out of the room. She took Kalani’s hand and placed it lightly on the baby’s chest, before putting Casey’s and Lily’s hands on top of hers. She put her hand on the top of theirs.
“This is our forever and I wouldn’t choose anybody, but you guys to live it out with,” Sasha whispered as she fell asleep.
