Chapter 74
Anastasia
She tapped her fingers on the desk in front of her. Slonsky was yet again sitting in her office trying to convince her to let the tramp in the dungeon go. He had no idea just how much that little bitch had put her through since she had been born. Nobody ever stopped to consider what all she had done to be a mother to those bastard children of hers. All those times she just wanted to crush their tiny skulls beneath her feet or slit their throats in their sleep, but she didn’t, now did she? That made her a good mother.
“Madame Anastasia, all I’m saying is that if they come for her, we don’t stand a chance. Tursum will fall. Is Sasha really worth everything that we have built here?”
She leaned forward to make her glare more effective. “If they decide to come for her, we will take them all out and you already know she is.”
“Madame, we are powerless against them. The only dragon we had on our side, you let fall in love with that girl. The few wolves and other shifters we have here will not put up much of a fight.”
She laughed cruelly as she tilted her chair back. She held her hand up and they both watched the blue energy jump from one finger to the next before it solidified. She moved it between her fingers, grinning.
“Our shifters might not be able to defend us, but my power is back. Trust me to protect us. Have I ever let you down, Donald?”
His jaw clenched. “No,” he bit out.
“Good, now that that's settled.” She took her shirt off and climbed up on the desk. “Wanna fuck?”
“Not particularly. I am not happy with how you are running our town anymore, Anastasia.”
He got up and started walking away. She frowned at his retreating back, before wiggling her fingers in his direction. The submission spell she had put on him made him jerk around to come back to the desk. He narrowed his eyes on her, fully aware of what was happening. She smirked as she he unbuttoned his pants and let them drop to his ankles. She ran her fingers over his soft cock. It jumped a little under her hand and he groaned.
“You know it’s always easier to just say yes to me,” she purred.
“You may have control over my body, but you don’t control my mind or my thoughts, you bitch.”
Her hand fisted angrily around his cock and he whimpered. “Are you trying to hurt my feelings, Donnie boy? You know I am fragile,” she hissed.
He rolled his eyes. “I love my daughter, witch. What you are doing to yours has always been too much and now you are talking about pulling all the magic out of her DNA. For what? To absorb it? For someone who hates dragons, you are certainly trying your hardest to become one.”
She pulled back like he had slapped her. She kicked him in the stomach and he collapsed on the ground, panting. She stood over him with her fists balled.
“How dare you have the nerve to say that to me?”
“I have never lied to you. I love you, but you are wrong. Let her go. Save all of our lives.”
She kicked him again in the stomach. “The minute she shifts, she’s dead. So, for your sake if you want to pray to the bitch that has never heard my pleas for mercy, don’t. She will ignore you, too.”
“Anastasia-”
“ENOUGH! I’VE HAD ENOUGH! SHE WILL DIE AND ANYONE WHO GETS IN MY WAY WILL DIE, TOO!”
Someone knocked on her door and she snatched her shirt off the desk. “WHAT?,” she yelled as she pulled it on.
“Madame Anastasia, you wanted to know when Sasha was awake-”
“Is the cunt finally awake?,” she asked, cutting the nervous girl off.
“Yes, ma’am. She woke up five minutes ago and I immediately came to get you.”
“I’ll be right there,” she said and bent down to look into Slonsky’s eyes. “If you know what’s good for you, you will have changed your mind before I get back. If you are not hard and ready for me, I will cut it off.” He gulped and she smirked, before pecking his lips. “Make the right choice or you won't have to worry about Tursum.”
She stormed out of the office and down to the dungeon. She heard Sasha’s breathing as she neared the cell and fury almost choked her. This little bitch was the biggest pain in her ass that she had ever had. She stepped in front of the bars and Sasha looked past her, like she was invisible.
“Sasha, welcome home,” she snapped.
Still the little shit ignored her presence. She ran her hand over the lock and the cell popped open. She walked in and sat on the chair in the middle of the room.
“You failed me, you little hussy. Sleeping with the king and not even able to extinguish his fire.”
Sasha laid back on the bed and crossed her arms behind her head. “Are you mad, because I realized you sent me to kill my mate, that I found out that my whole life you lied to me or is it fact that I was the only one you were able to get?”
Anastasia rolled her eyes at her daughter. “Lucky for him you weren’t smart enough to think with your brain. I have seen many women burn for thinking with their pussies, my dear. Two, let’s both act like we know that I don’t give a damn that you know I lied. Nothing I ever said was the truth. And three, I’m a little pissed Kalani and that other little thorn in my side isn’t here. You were always easier to control when you thought I was gonna hurt her.”
“Lucky for you, that she’s not here. Neither of them. You would have been dead before you took us.”
Anastasia laughed at her confidence. She let a ball of energy form in her hand. It grew and heated as she eyed her daughter.
“I always wondered if you would be a dragon or a witch. I wasn’t sure, but something tells me that you are more than anybody thought.”
Sasha shrugged. “That is not my problem, now is it?”
Anastasia flung the ball at her and it hit her daughter, lifting her up off the cot. Power surged in the air and Anastasia sat forward in the chair watching intently. Sasha started seizing and the spell ball kept lifting her higher. Suddenly, Sasha’s body leveled and her eyes had shifted to black. Her arms went out to her side and she lowered slowly to the ground. She turned her head to look at Anastasia.Wings exploded out of her back to cover her body. More power flared and Anastasia gulped.
Her wings opened and the ball of energy flew rapidly back at Anastasia, who ducked. The stone behind her cracked and Sasha collapsed. Her wings came out again to surround her. Sasha lay unmoving cocooned in her wings. Anastasia got up to go over to her daughter. She knelt beside her and put her hand on her shoulder. The wings shuddered and hardened under her touch. She stood up and backed away. She began to hurl spell after spell at the leathery wings. Each and every single one of them bounced off. Anastasia threw her hands up in frustration.
“You may be protected now, but I know exactly how to get you.”
She left the cell, stopping beside the guard there. “Get her ready to move. They will be coming for her and we are not ready. We need to raid the castle and take the other two. Only in doing that, will we win.”
The guard nodded. “As you wish, Madame Anastasia.”
