Chapter 88- Small Trigger warning

*Sasha shook her head. “I can’t,” she whispered.*
*The Goddess put her hand on Sasha’s shoulder and gently pushed her in the direction of where her family stood huddled, waiting for her. She looked up at the Goddess and opened her mouth, but she was gone. She sighed and went over to her family. Kalani took her hand.*
*“Where did you go?”*
*“Nowhere,” she mumbled.*
*“Are you okay?”*
*“Daddy, were you serious about not being with mom?”*
*He nodded. “I don’t know what happened. I just had to go to her.” He put his hands in his pockets. “Come on.”*
*He walked away and they followed him. Their surroundings changed again and they were in a bedchamber where Odanya was straddling their father with the blankets bunched around her waist. Her hand was on his chest and she was rocking her hips to his. They were both panting and his hands went to her waist to make her move faster. He growled and rolled her over, thrusting into her harder. Her back arched and she moaned. The door flung open and their mother breezed in and sat on the bed beside them. Their father stopped moving to stare at her.*
*“Get out.”*
*Their mother laughed and leaned over to blow in his face.*
*“But I want to fuck,” she whined.*
*Her fingers trailed over his naked chest and he started moving again. Odanya pushed on his chest as tears started leaking slowly from her eyes.*
*“Sterling, stop! STOP! GET OFF OF ME!”*
*Anastasia laughed and leaned over her to breathe in his face again.*
*“Keep going. I want her to know I’m the one that made you cum.”*
*He leaned towards her and pressed his lips against Anastasia’s as he sped up. Sasha walked towards him to peer into his eyes. They were glazed over again. He restrained Odanya to the bed as he continued to kiss their mother and move inside of his chosen mate. When he was done, Anastasia smiled at him and patted his cheek.*
*“Go clean yourself up. I want to talk to the ‘queen’ and then I want you to fuck me on this bed while she watches. Go on, shoo.”*
*He got up and scampered off. He left the door open as he cleaned himself up. Anastasia leaned back against the headboard, looking at her nails, completely unphased by what she had just done. Odanya curled up on her side in the fetal position with her eyes closed. Anastasia leaned down and tilted her face up.*
*“Open your eyes, bitch.” Odanya opened her eyes slowly. “I want you to know this isn’t because you had my mate killed. Not at all.” She grinned cruelly. “This is simply because I can.”*
*Their father came back and Anastasia settled back against the headboard, spreading her legs. He moved between them and when he hesitated, she breathed in his face again. He pulled her down on the bed and started to slide into her. She turned her head to the left and reached for Odanya.*
*“Watch your mate make love to me.”*
*When Odanya squeezed her eyes together tighter, their mother breathed in her face, too. Her eyes popped open and she started sobbing as she was forced to watch them mate. Every intentional moan made her flinch and her face paled. Her heart rate rose and her hands went to her chest seconds before she started screaming in agony. 15 minutes later, he came inside of her and rolled off. Anastasia got up, adjusted her clothes and laughed.*
*“You can have your mate back,” she sneered.*
*She walked out of the room and the other two were left on the bed, each in their own worlds. After a few minutes passed, he reached for Odanya and she flinched, moving away from him.*
*“Don’t touch me!” She pointed her finger at him. “You brought her here. You did this. All I ever wanted was to be your wife, your mate, your queen. You did this.”*
*His face fell. “I know. I’m so sorry.”*
*The vision shifted and Sasha found herself in the forest. She watched as a 6 year old her stalked through it with a 4 year old Kalani staggering behind her.*
*“Aja, I’m tired.”*
*She took her hand and smiled at her. “Come, Lani. We’re almost there. I found a place where there is a lot of bunnies. We can eat them if we can catch them.”*
*This vision version of their father moved through the trees with them. When they got to the clearing, they began to look through the bushes for rabbits. He caught one and broke its leg, before tossing it into the middle of the small area. Sasha pounced on it and snapped its neck, before she collapsed on the ground, sobbing. She apologized profusely to the rabbit for killing it. Kalani laid her head on her shoulder.*
*“Aja, are you okay?”*
*Sasha wiped her tears and nodded. “Yes, Lani. Did you get the sticks?”*
*She nodded and pointed to a small pile of kindling. She stacked them up and laid the rabbit flat. She pulled out a dull knife and started trying to cut the skin off. It was a mess. She cut too much of the meat off and missed patches of fur. She sighed as she eyed the rabbit. She smiled at Lani.*
*“Let’s get the fire started. Do you have the matchbook?”*
*Kalani held it up. Sasha ignited one and threw it on the sticks. A small, weak fire started and she put the rabbit on the top of the pile.*
*“We don’t have enough sticks for a good fire. Let’s go find some.”*
*They took off into the woods and their father moved over to the rabbit. He finished skinning it correctly and pulled the meat off the skin she had accidentally cut. He fixed their fire stack and used his fire to start a bigger flame. He backed away when he heard the girls coming back. They came back into view and got excited when they saw the fire.*
*As Sasha tended to their food, he crept up to them. He reached out to touch Sasha and electricity raced from her to him. He bared his teeth, trying to endure the pain, but was forced to pull back. He watched them eat and cover the fire with soil, before leaving. He stood in between two trees as he watched them leave.*
*“I promise, girls, I will come for you. Just hang on.”*
*That vision faded and their father turned to them. “I was never far from you. Every time I tried to come to get you, the spell was different. I was going to take you away and never let you go home to her. She destroyed everything she touched.”*
*He let his head drop and they all knew he was fighting tears. “I loved her. I knew she was evil, but I still loved her. She cost me Odanya. She cost me you girls and she tried to take my life. I really just need to let go.”*
*He raised his head to look at them. “Please, just let me go. I can’t live like this. I don’t want to live like this. I missed out on so much of you girl’s lives, because I couldn’t focus. I was so wrapped up in my own grief that I failed you guys. I will never be able to make it up to you, no matter how much longer I’m alive.”*
*Sasha threw herself into his arms, sobbing. He held her tight and she clung to him.*
*“Daddy, none of this was your fault. There was a witch and he did all of this. Odanya tried to call off the spell that made Eis attack mom, but he ended up spelling her, too. He spelled you to go approach her. I don’t know why, but it was all him. Losing him broke mom and she turned into the woman we all know now.” She looked up at him and grasped his face. “Please, we can never make up for lost time, but we can move forward and be happy.”*
*Kalani joined them, hugging their father, too. “You were always there for us. Don’t make us lose you as soon as we found you. Please, think about your grandkids. Aja has an egg, Daddy. I have an egg, too. If not for us, then please, think about your grandchildren. Fight. Fight for us. You can do that now.” She looked up at him. “Are we not enough to live for?”*
*His eyes softened as he looked at her. “Princess, you four are the only things good enough to live for.”*
*Kalani wiped her nose. “Four?”*
*“You three and Lily. She is such a sweet girl.”*
*Sasha glanced at Lukas who had gotten emotional hearing their father claim his mate as one of his kids.*
*“Dad,” he whispered. “Please, stay and let’s go home.” He wrapped his arms around them all. “All of us.”*
*He eyed them all for a moment, before nodding. “Okay. You lead and I’ll follow.”*
*Kalani took his hand and Sasha’s body got heavy. She was yanked backwards and she cried out, closing her eyes.* Sparks erupted on her skin and she gasped. She opened her eyes and found herself looking into Aiden’s worried eyes.
“Are you okay?”
She looked around the room. Gregory was rocking Kalani and Lily was curled up in Lukas's lap, asleep. Her father was awake and watching her. She reached for his hand, linking her fingers through them.
“I couldn’t be better.”
