Chapter 114

Sasha sat between Kalani and Lukas, watching as their subjects mingled, having a great time. Lily sat beside Lukas while Aiden and Gregory stood behind them. A woman came up and started talking to them amicably. She kept glancing at Lukas who ignored her to lean close to Lily and whisper in her ear, making her giggle quietly. The curvaceous brunette leaned over the table to trail her fingers up Lukas’ arm.
“Would you like to dance, Your Majesty?,” she purred, flirtatiously.
He glared at where her fingers lay on his arm. He pulled his arm away from her.
“Actually, I was just about to take Lily for a dance. This is her first kingdom event,” he answered the girl.
She narrowed her eyes on Lily, who lowered her own eyes. The girl laughed smugly until Lukas’ growl wiped it off of her face. She opened her mouth, but Lukas turned towards Lily and lifted her chin up.
“Do you want to go dance with me, Lily?”
She hesitated, before nodding slowly. He stood up and held out his hand to her. She took it and he led her out onto the dance floor. The girl stared after them angrily. Sasha smiled as she watched as her brother puledl Lily closer to hold her while they swayed slowly to the music. Sasha leaned close to Kalani who was watching the girl that was very clearly plotting to get in between Lukas and Lily.
“Man, the way he looks at her. Isn’t that what dreams are made of?,” Sasha told her sister lightly, teasing a smirk to her face.
The girl shot Sasha an angry look that was promptly ignored. Ethan entered the hall and came over to them immediately. He bowed in front of them, before straightening up.
“Jo asked me to come grab some food, but I was wondering if you wanted to dance, Queen Sasha?,” he asked.
She stood up. “Yes, we can.”
She took his hand and blew Aiden a kiss over her shoulder. Ethan led her to the dance floor away from where Lukas was spinning a laughing Lily. He put his hand on her waist and took her other one to hold it out beside them. He remained a foot away from her as he moved her around the room. She felt him put pressure on their link and she let it open.
‘You look very beautiful tonight, Sasha.’
She narrowed her eyes at him. ‘Thank you,’ she said and fell quiet.
‘I wanted to apologize to you for my behavior when I first came here. I should have had more respect for your relationship with King Aiden.’ Her mouth dropped open and he chuckled softly. He turned her in a circle, before respectfully putting his hand back on her waist. ‘Now that I have met Jo, I realize just how much the bond means.’ He glanced at Aiden. ‘I am not sure how you managed to get him not to kill me, but thank you. I really wouldn’t want to have missed out on Jo. She is amazing.’
Sasha smiled up at him. ‘Yes, she is. I like her for you.’
He laughed out loud and she could see the happiness in his eyes. She leaned against his chest and he pulled her in closer. She met Aiden’s eyes. Ethan followed her gaze to her furious mate.
‘I like him for you, too, Aja. I always wanted you to be happy.’ He kissed her cheek. ‘I will always love you, but I’m not in love with you. I’m in love with Jo.’
She touched his cheek. ‘I’m glad you’re happy.’
The song ended and he took her back to her mate. He handed her back to him and Aiden immediately pulled her tight against his side. Ethan bowed low to him.
“You have a very good mate, Sire. Thank you for allowing me the honor of a dance.”
Aiden eyed him. “You’re welcome.”
He bowed again. “Now, if you excuse me, my mate is waiting for me.”
He hurried away to grab a plate of food. Aiden eyed her curiously.
“What was that about?,” he asked.
She leaned against his shoulder, taking his hand. “He was just telling me that he is glad I have you and that he is happy with Jo.”
“Good.” He pulled her around to his front. “I love you and I will kill anybody who challenges me for you.”
Kalani tapped Aiden on the shoulder. “May I have this dance, brother?”
“Sure.”
He took her hand and led her to the floor. Lukas came over, agitated. Sasha raised an eyebrow at him.
“What’s wrong?”
“Luis took her from me,” he snarled, throwing himself back onto his throne.
Sasha scanned the room until she found the spot where Luis held Lily in his arms. He was leaned down close to her, talking almost silently to her. She glanced at them and when Lily saw Sasha watching them, she smiled. Sasha watched them for a moment, getting a bad feeling. Lukas tapped her arm.
“Hey, Aja, who’s that girl with Aiden?”
Sasha turned to look at Aiden, who was struggling to remove himself away from Lilac. Sasha bared her teeth and stood up. She stormed over to them, slowing when she heard what Lilac was saying to him.
“You’re not married yet, Your Highness. You can tell her you want a mistress. It would be my absolute pleasure to satisfy you anytime you need to be,” she told him.
He glared at her. “I am very happy with Sasha,” he hissed. “Nobody stands a chance when she is my only choice. Now, I am only going to tell you one more time, stop touching me.”
She leaned closer to him as she slid her hand further up his arm. Sasha grabbed her hair and yanked her backwards. Lilac let out a loud cry, drawing everyone’s attention. She turned on her heel and dragged Lilac to the thrones. Aiden slowly approached them. Sasha deposited the terrified girl on the ground. She growled and everyone dropped to the ground on their knees. She pointed angrily at her.
“I think there are still some people who do not think it is necessary to obey orders. She was told to not touch what was mine. She chose to disobey.” Sasha let her hand shift into Irina’s paw. “AIDEN IS MINE! THERE WILL BE NO OTHER IN HIS BED!”
She reached down to tear into Lilac’s throat. She flung Lilac’s skin and blood everywhere as she dug her throat out. Lilac stopped moving and Sasha started pacing small circles around her lifeless body.
“There is nothing that I will order you to do that I won’t punish with death if you disobey me.” She walked over to kiss Aiden. He cupped her cheek and kissed her deeper. She pulled away. He looked into her eyes.
“There’s nobody in this world I will ever want, but you. I’m tired of this and I just want to be alone with you. Shall we go to bed?”
She nodded. He picked her up and walked out, stopping at the door. He turned to look at everyone.
“Get out. Let the royal mates enjoy their time together,” he ordered, before carrying Sasha out.
He set her down on their bed, before kissing her deeply. He knelt at her feet to take her shoes off. She helped him wiggle the body suit off, before leaning back on her elbows to watch him get undressed. Her eyes moved over his perfectly chiseled body and she sent up a prayer to the Goddess for such a handsome mate. He leaned down to kiss her.
