Chapter 66

The bell rang and Sasha stretched her arms above her head as she arched her back. Aiden’s eyes lingered on her nipples that were thrust forward aggressively. His eyes slowly moved up to hers. They were black and fully aroused by the time they reached hers.
‘This time I want to watch you get fat with my egg,’ he told her through their link.
She froze and Irina pushed forward, growling at his words. Fat! He had some nerve calling her fat. The asshole. He smirked and launched himself into the sky. She stared up until he disappeared into the sky.
“Coward,” she screamed.
‘Lay down,’ Irina ordered.
She laid there until he came back into view, spiraling rapidly. Her and Irina gazed up at Mikhail, completely in awe of their mate. He began to spit icy fireballs down at her. They hit her body and she moaned when she was overwhelmed with the tingles they caused as they were absorbed into her body. Irina got drowsy, before her presence completely disappeared from Sasha's mind leaving her deserted. Mikhail landed and stomped on the ground. Sasha got up, frowning at him.
She wiped the grass off of her shorts and glared at him.
“You manipulative little ass-”
Mikhail walked over to her, lowered his head and swallowed her. She growled and put her hands and feet out, stopping her descent. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the utter darkness. Mikhail swallowed again and she slid down a little.
“Two can play this game,” she whispered.
She took her hair down and began to run it over the soft skin inside his throat. His throat began to undulate, speeding up the more she tickled it. Seconds later, she was expelled from his mouth. She passed over his tongue and hit the ground, covered in his saliva. She stood back up, sliding in the slippery slime. His body vibrated and she knew he was laughing at her. She tied her hair back up, glaring at him.
‘Use what Lukas taught us,’ Kalani suggested in her head.
Sasha flashed her sister a small smile and took a deep breath. Some of his saliva went into her mouth and she gagged.
“I want you to know, you fully deserve what you are about to get.”
He swallowed nervously, making her even happier. She met his eyes and began to pull on the image of her body. She felt her body lighten and in no time she felt weightless. Next, she focused on- She was thrown to the side. Mikhail started stalking her and she groaned. She had to get better at this. She sprinted across the field to buy herself time and rapidly began the process over. He started running towards her and she focused on not getting hit while retaining her weightlessness. She pictured herself as a piece of glass and moments later, Mikhail began to whip his head back and forth. Lukas roared with laughter.
“Just give up, dude. She’s got you beat, now!,” he called, doubling over with his laughter.
She backed up and raced towards him as he moved his lowered head back and forth, searching for her. She ran up his snout and he lifted his head, shaking it hard. She slid down his back and started crawling over his back to the one spot she knew would drive him crazy and make him lose. He knew where she was heading and he began to whip his tail back and forth. She leapt off of his back and onto his tail.
She clung it and crawled to the tip. She rolled under it and pressed in on the second to the last scale. Mikhail pitched face first into the ground and shifted back. Sasha belly flopped onto the ground, groaning. Aiden’s soft snores filled the air and she giggled. She let herself get heavy again and imagined herself as she looked. She walked over to Aiden and shook his shoulder, rousing him from his impromptu nap. He groggily raised his head to look at her.
“You are a fucking cheater.”
She laughed. “I didn’t want to hurt you.”
He grabbed her hand and rolled. She was yanked to the ground and wrapped her legs around his waist. He leaned down to kiss her.
“Where did you learn to go invisible?”
She grinned cheekily. “Lukas taught us the family secret. You guys lost by the way.”
“We didn’t do too bad and besides it’s not over yet. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, my love. You only have two left and Lukas is definitely not going down easy.”
Sasha rolled her eyes. “I’m not afraid of my baby brother,” she retorted, her confident voice belying the worry she felt.
He climbed off of her and pulled her up. They walked back to the sidelines where Lukas stood watching them. He moved to the makeshift ring and pointed at Kalani.
“Come on, little sis.”
She nervously approached him. “Be gentle. I’m new to this.”
He snorted. “You are such a liar.”
Sasha’s attention was pulled away from her siblings circling each other in front of her by someone tapping her shoulder. She turned her head and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up when a tired Jo stood slightly behind her with her wings wrapped around her.
“Where is-”
Jo lifted her right wing up and a shivering, terrified Lily came into view. Sasha relaxed. Jo reabsorbed her wings with a smile on her face.
“I brought you a gift as an apology for being late to the party.”
“Oh?”
A growl ripped through the field and Sasha looked up. Lukas’ eyes were glued to Lily. Kalani’s wing came out and knocked him backward. He flew back into a tree and the air shifted. Sasha and Jo exchanged worried glances as he angrily began to stalk towards Kalani. Lily moved to the edge of the field, her eyes stuck on Lukas. Jo stepped up beside with her hand on her shoulder, keeping her in place. Lukas stopped half a dozen feet from Kalani. She glanced at Sasha a little afraid of his retribution. His eyes glazed over as his jaw clenched and Jo sighed.
“Submit!,” he ordered, his aura flaring out.
Kalani’s legs wobbled and she started sweating. Lily leaned forward, drawn to his energy. Jo’s head snapped up and she looked to her right. Her grip loosened on Lily briefly. The air grew almost unbearably heavy and time slowed down before Sasha’s eyes. Lily fell forward into the path of the stream of fire Galina had released as Jo tried to grab her and Lukas lunged forward, his wings coming out to shield Lily as he breathed out fire, too.
His fire surrounded Kalani’s, killing it, before the little that hadn’t been eaten by her fire struck her in the chest. She flew backwards into a tree as he spun around, ensuring that Lily was safe. He sat his sobbing mate on the ground, kneeling before her. He quickly checked her over, before climbing back to his feet. He stormed over to where Jo stood anxiously shifting her weight back and forth. She held her hand out.
“Lukas, I didn’t mean-”
“GET ON YOUR FUCKING KNEES!,” he roared.
She dropped immediately and bowed her head, submitting fully.
“WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?”
“Sire-”
He grabbed her hair to pull her head back. “SHE WAS ALMOST HURT.”
He punched her in the face, busting her lip. Ethan dashed to her side.
“She tried to catch her and-”
Lukas growled and let Jo go. His aura flared out even more and everyone knelt, including Kalani and Aiden, but not Sasha, even though his power washed over her. She stepped in front of Jo and Ethan.
“Now, now, brother. This is not how you treat your beta or a woman.”
Gideon’s hunter green eyes narrowed on her. “SUBMIT,” he hissed and his aura pushed out harder.
Several thuds sounded around the field and Sasha glanced around. Almost everyone there lay unconscious around the area. Sasha straightened her back when her eyes landed on her mate panting as he laid flat on the ground.
“Stop it!”
He took a step closer to her. “Bow!,” he tried again.
Sasha shook her head. “No. You are hurting people. Now, stop! Don’t make me hurt you.”
He grabbed her arm and tried to force her to her knees. “I AM THE KING AND I SAID BOW!”
Irina suddenly rose up in her head and took over. She growled and Lukas let her go and took a step back. She straightened her back.
“Not only are you hurting my mate, but look at what you’re doing to Lily.”
He spun around and his aura was immediately pulled back into him. Her eyes were wide and the look of terror on her face made Sasha sad. Lily didn’t understand why he was so angry and Sasha hurt for her. He sank to the ground in front of her and reached for her. She screamed and started scrambling away from him, tears pouring down her face. He closed his hand as it dropped.
“Lily, I will never hurt you,” he murmured softly to her.
Her eyes moved to Jo. Sasha walked over to them and held her hand out.
“I know it’s been a really rough day for you, sweetheart. Are you hungry?”
“I.. umm..” She glanced at Lukas. “Is it burnt?”
Sasha blinked in surprise. “No, honey. Why would it be burned?”
She looked away. “No, reason. Can it be bologna?”
“Bologna?”
“My sandwich.”
“We’re not feeding you sandwiches, Lily. We are having steak tonight, but I can have the chefs make you anything you want.”
“Can.. can I have macaroni and cheese?”
“Sure. Come on. Let’s go tell the chefs.”
She shyly took Sasha’s hand. She began to lead her away, but Lily stopped beside Lukas.
“It was my fault. She told me to stay away from the fights.”
He sighed. “Lily, I’m sorry. It scared me. I thought I had... I thought you had gotten hurt.”
She hesitantly reached out towards his face and he leaned into her hand to press his cheek to her hand. She blushed and pulled away. Sasha eyed her brother as his eyes shifted from the darker green of Gideon to the lighter green of Lukas repeatedly. She tugged Lily away.
“Come, dear. We can tell Lukas what happened later.”
She nodded and ran her fingers over his cheek again. She swallowed and followed Sasha back to the castle, continuously glancing over her shoulder towards the field.
“Do you like my brother, Lily?”
“No,” she denied. “He’s old.”
Sasha chuckled. “Alright, if you say so.”
