Chapter 210 The Man's Terms
Jennifer, feeling anxious, asked the man a question. Leonard and Mrs. Romy, hiding in the garage, also quietly awaited the upcoming conversation.
The man with the sinister face laughed. "Madam, although you are my employer's wife, I cannot casually disclose his information."
"I can buy it with money, and you can name your price." Jennifer hurriedly said.
The man laughed as if he had heard a hilarious joke. "I am not poor, madam. But if you are willing to give something else, I might consider it."
"What do you want then?" Jennifer asked, frowning.
The man's sinister gaze scanned Jennifer up and down, and a creepy smile formed on his lips as he stepped forward toward her.
"Leonard, what is he trying to do?" Mrs. Romy asked nervously, watching the man's actions through the surveillance screen.
Leonard, with a grim expression, opened the car door. "Wait here, follow the original plan. If I signal, use it."
Mrs. Romy nodded, watching Leonard leave. "God bless us. Let us be safe." She held a small box in her arms, which contained something Leonard had given her.
By the riverside, Jennifer was forced to step back until her back was against the railing, and the man was standing in front of her.
"What exactly do you want?" Jennifer began to race her heart, and she went pale as she looked at the man.
"I don’t need money. But women might excite me," the man said and smiled at Jennifer's panicked expression.
Jennifer's nervousness eased a bit and she smiled at the man. "I know where to find women who can meet your needs. You can have as many as you want, and I'll pay for them."
"No, madam. I think you misunderstood me. I wouldn't say I like those whores. I prefer a wealthy wife like you. You seem to have a certain magic that attracts me," the man said and lifted Jennifer's chin with his finger.
"No, I can't. Please show me some respect," Jennifer said and slapped the man's hand away. But the next second, she let out a cry as the man embraced her.
Feeling Jennifer struggle in his arms, the man laughed. "You came to inquire about what happened back then in worry that your husband might implicate you? I thought you want the truth."
Jennifer stopped struggling with a hint of hesitation flashing across her face.
'If it's just this, maybe I can help the Leonard get the answers he wants,' Jennifer thought, biting her lip as her hands slowly dropped.
"It seems you have made her choice. Why don't we enjoy this beautiful night by the river?" the man said, reaching into Jennifer's coat to touch her full breasts.
The next second, Jennifer slapped the man in the face.
The man instantly became furious, grabbed Jennifer's collar, and raised his fist to hit her.
"You bitch, how dare you hit me! I wanted to be gentle, but I guess that’s impossible," the man said with a menacing smile, which made Jennifer instinctively close her eyes and raise her hands in front of her.
Jennifer waited for a moment but didn't feel the punch. In confusion, she opened her eyes and saw a figure in a black hood holding the man's hand.
Jennifer was instantly overjoyed as she recognized Leonard under the hood.
Jennifer had been ready to sacrifice herself for Leonard, but suddenly, she heard Leonard's voice through her earpiece.
"The truth I want doesn't cost my woman’s body. Jennifer, your body belongs only to me."
Hearing Leonard's voice, Jennifer didn't hesitate to slap the man again.
"Damn it, who the hell are you?" the man yelled and turned around to punch Leonard in the chest.
Suddenly, the man changed his expression and clutched his hands in pain as Leonard's chest felt as hard as steel.
