Chapter 237 Romy's Sister
Gale glanced nervously at the lawyer in front of him. It was never a good sign to be approached by a lawyer in this country. Mariette adjusted her glasses and smiled, "Mr. Gale, there's no need to be anxious. I'm just here to gather some information from you. You're not implicated in any way.”
Gale let out a sigh of relief and inquired, "What do you want to know about the factory? I'm just a maintenance worker."
Mariette inquired, "I'm curious why the factory was closed. It seems like it shut down before it even started. Mr. Gale shook his head. "I have no idea. That's a matter for the higher-ups to handle.”
Gale's answer brought a hint of disappointment to both Leonard and Mariette's eyes.
"But now that you mention it, there is something strange that might be related to the closure of the factory," Mr Gale suddenly remembered something he had overheard while repairing some circuits.
"While I was fixing a machine that day, I overheard Mr. Lowell having an argument with another man. This man seemed like an investor because I heard him yelling, 'Why are you using my money on these useless machines?' But Mr. Lowell stood his ground, saying the machines were essential and asked the man to trust him. After that, the man stormed off," Gale recounted, looking at Leonard and Mariette, although his focus was mainly on Leonard.
"Now that I think about it... the guy who was arguing with Mr. Lowell kinda resembled you, Leonard." Mr Gale remarked in surprise.
Leonard and Mariette immediately realize that the man arguing with Lowell must be Leonard's father.
"Did you hear anything else besides the argument about the machines?" Leonard asked urgently.
But Gale shook his head. "No, not really. The factory shut down shortly after that. I don't know the exact reasons."
Gale's words left Leonard deep in thought, but Mariette seemed satisfied.
She stood up, shook Gale's hand, and smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Gale. I'm sorry to have disturbed you today."
After saying goodbye to Mr Gale, Leonard and Mariette left the café.
“Now that you know the conflict between your father and your uncle was about equipment, to gather more clues, you need to gain access to your uncle's company. But first, I need to meet your relatives. Infiltrating the company might take a while," Mariette explained to Leonard.
Leonard nodded. "I understand. Since you're the professional, I'll follow your lead."
Mariette nodded but appeared slightly concerned. "The infiltration might be a lengthy process. If you're looking to save time, you could reach out to someone within your uncle's company. It could be a simpler approach."
Leonard had thought about this previously. However, he had always been seen as a gaming enthusiast, and he had never visited Lowell's company. Lowell seldom brought colleagues home, so Leonard had never had the opportunity to meet any of them.
"Let's discuss this again when you return from meeting my relatives," Leonard sighed, putting the idea on hold for now.
After bidding farewell to Mariette, Leonard headed home and spotted Mrs. Romy, dressed in a floral dress, standing at the door and ringing the bell.
"Aunt Romy, have you forgotten your keys?" Leonard asked as he approached, but 'Romy' suddenly turned round.
" Hold on, you're not Aunt Romy, you're..." Leonard gazed at the woman who resembled Mrs. Romy but appeared unfamiliar. She looked familiar, but he couldn't recall her name.
"Leonard! It's been a while! I can't believe how much you've grown! I'm your Aunt Sophie!" Diana exclaimed enthusiastically, rushing over to hug Leonard. Taken aback by the unexpected hug, Leonard felt two soft mounds against his chest. It suddenly clicked in Leonard's mind who the woman was. It was Mrs. Romy's sister, Diana Gwen.
"Oh, Aunt Diana. It's been a while," Leonard said with a silly grin.
Just then, the door opened, and Mrs. Romy, wearing an apron, came out. She looked surprised to see Diana.
"Diana, I didn't expect you to arrive so early. Come on in. Leonard, you too," Mrs. Romy said happily, welcoming her sister. Leonard followed them, his gaze lingering on the round buttocks of the two women.
"Their figures are strikingly similar. It's no surprise they're sisters. If it weren't for the subtle differences in their looks, it would be difficult to tell them apart from behind," Leonard thought, recalling the sensation of Diana's breasts against his chest.
Suddenly, Leonard stopped when he realized that Diana was working for Lowell's company. Because of Mrs. Romy, she held a rather high position there.
