Chapter 73 Departure

In the following days, Tina still lacked the courage to ask Leonard her burning question. The weekend arrived quickly, and it was time for her and Leonard to set off.
"The weather is great today. We'll see the most beautiful stars tonight!" Leonard said happily, looking up at the sky.
The family came out to see Leonard and Tina off.
Scarlett noticed the large backpack on Leonard's back and asked, "What's in your backpack? Aren't you just bringing a telescope?"
Leonard proudly patted his backpack. "I packed sleeping bags and other survival gear. The mountains can be dangerous, so I have made ample preparations!"
Tina glanced at Leonard's backpack, her eye twitching slightly. "If you can't carry it, don't expect me to help."
Leonard patted his chest. "Don't worry, Tina. This weight is nothing to me!"
Tina shook her head in exasperation and waved to the family. "We're off. Goodbye."
Leonard followed Tina, waving goodbye as well.
"Tina, don't bully Leonard!" Scarlett shouted after them.
"I wouldn't do that!" Tina shouted back, embarrassed.
The climb was not easy. The mountain had no proper paths, only rugged trails. Leonard followed Tina, both panting heavily as they climbed.
Leonard, watching Tina's swaying booty, thought, 'Tina's butt is quite nice. It's rounder than Scarlett's and Romy's, like a ripe peach.'
Just as Leonard was admiring Tina's booty, she turned to him.
Leonard, thinking she had caught him staring, asked awkwardly, "Tina, what's up?"
Tina looked at Leonard. "Are you tired? Want to rest for a bit?"
Leonard, feeling relieved, shook his head and smiled. "I'm fine. It's hot today, but the clouds are blocking the sun, so it's not too bad."
As Leonard spoke, he stepped on a slippery rock and lost his balance, falling backward.
Just as Leonard was about to fall, Tina grabbed his arm, saving him.
"Be careful!" Tina scolded, glancing at Leonard.
Leonard nodded, thinking, 'Tina seems hard to get along with, but she's actually very kind. And her hand is so soft.'
After three hours of climbing, Leonard and Tina finally reached the mountaintop. They sat on the grass, looking down at the view below.
"See? Our climb went smoothly. I still don't get why you brought so much survival gear," Tina said.
Leonard, panting, laughed. "Better to be prepared. You never know when a storm might hit."
Just as Leonard finished speaking, a strong wind blew through their hair.
Tina adjusted her hair and looked at the darkening sky. "Leonard, are you cursed or something?"
Leonard, seeing the clouds, became anxious. "Tina, it's going to rain. Will we still see the stars?"
Tina took a deep breath. "It looks like a passing shower. The clouds should clear by nightfall."
As soon as Tina spoke, raindrops began to fall. She quickly turned to Leonard. "Did you bring an umbrella?"
Leonard rummaged through his backpack, then looked distressed. "I forgot."
In seconds, they were soaked.
Tina looked at Leonard helplessly. "So, our survival expert, what do we do now?"
"We need to find shelter quickly. The temperature will drop at night, and we could freeze," Leonard said, searching the mountaintop until he found a cave.
"Tina, over here!" Leonard pulled Tina towards the cave.
The cave provided shelter from the rain, but the ground was damp. Leonard pulled out sleeping bags from his backpack.
"Tina, take off your wet clothes and get into the sleeping bag, or you'll lose body heat," Leonard instructed.
