Chapter 226 Venting on Mrs. Romy
As Lowell pushed open the door, everyone inside and outside the room froze.
The scene in Leonard's room was not what Lowell had imagined.
"What are you doing?" Lowell asked, stunned by the sight before him.
Leonard was lying on the bed with his hands tied behind his back. Tina stood with one foot on Leonard's back, holding a coat hanger, looking like a bandit. Scarlett stood by the bed, her hands still clapping.
"Dad, Mum, what are you doing here?" Scarlett asked, puzzled by Lowell and Mrs. Romy's presence.
"This is my question to you. Why are you up in the middle of the night? And what exactly are you doing here? Tina, get your foot off Leonard's back. You look like a pirate!" Lowell scolded Tina.
Tina quickly removed her foot, blushing as she jumped off the bed.
Leonard turned his head and sat up, smiling awkwardly. "Uncle Lowell, Aunt Romy, we're helping Tina get inspiration for her writing."
"Inspiration for writing?" Mrs. Romy asked, looking at Tina in confusion.
Tina blushed and nodded. "I wrote a story where a hero loses all his powers and is humiliated by a demon's trick. I wasn't satisfied with my writing, so I asked Leonard to help me act it out for inspiration."
Lowell was momentarily stunned by this explanation. If that was the case, then the sounds they heard outside the door must have been Tina and Leonard reciting lines.
"Wait, Leonard is helping you with inspiration, but what is Scarlett doing here?" Lowell looked at Scarlett.
Scarlett held out her hands and smiled. "I'm here to be your audience. A good story needs audience feedback to be successful!"
Lowell and Mrs. Romy exchanged glances, both seeing the awkwardness in each other's eyes.
"I'm glad you siblings are getting on so well, but it's late. You should get some rest," Lowell said as he pulled Mrs. Romy out of Leonard's room.
After their parents left, Scarlett went to the door and checked to make sure they were gone. Then she turned to Leonard and Tina and said, "This is home, not the hill where you stargaze! Can't you keep it down?"
Tina's face was red with embarrassment, and Leonard scratched his head awkwardly.
The noise of Tina pounding on the bed had not only disturbed Lowell but also alerted Scarlett next door.
Scarlett initially intended to tell Leonard and Tina to quiet down, but as she reached the hallway, she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, which startled her.
Scarlett quickly entered Leonard's room and warned them that Lowell and Mrs. Romy might be coming.
Tina hurriedly dressed and tried to leave, but it was too late; Lowell and Mrs. Romy were already in the hallway.
At a critical moment, Scarlett came up with a plan to cover up the noise by pretending they were acting out a scene, leading to the situation Lowell and Mrs. Romy witnessed.
"Scarlett, you're brilliant for coming up with such a clever idea," Leonard said, giving Scarlett a thumbs up.
Scarlett rolled her eyes but then noticed the two cups of water on the table, now partially empty.
When she saw the water stains on Leonard's lips, she seemed to understand. She smiled and said, "I didn't expect my dear brother to put his newly learned tricks into practice so quickly.
Tina looked at Leonard in confusion.
Leonard awkwardly tried to explain, but Scarlett pulled Tina towards the door.
"Didn't you hear Dad? We should get some sleep. Leonard, you should rest, too! Dad could come up to check at any time," Scarlett teased, glancing at Leonard before dragging Tina out of his room.
Leonard looked down at his erect penis and sighed deeply. "Damn, tonight was really bad luck."
Leonard didn't sleep well that night, which caused him to wake up late the next day.
"Good morning, Aunt Romy," Leonard said, rubbing his messy hair as he came down the stairs, but he only saw Mrs. Romy in the kitchen.
"Aunt Romy, where is everyone?" Leonard asked, confused.
"Scarlett and Julie went shopping, Tina went to the library, and Lowell went to work. It's just the two of us at home..." Mrs. Romy stopped suddenly, realizing something as she looked at Leonard, who was staring at her intently.
