chapter 32: Realization
The second Blaze's lips collided with Diva's, they felt as if butterflies were erupting everywhere. His rough lips slowly caressed her soft ones.
He caressed her lips with his as if it was the only cookie he wanted at that moment.
When the realization hit her, Diva pushed Blaze away. To say she was shocked was an understatement. Even Blaze himself was shocked at his sudden action.
The kiss may have lasted for a short moment, but the sparks that erupted with the kiss was undeniable. The short moment was very sweet, full of love. It felt heavenly.
They stared at each other with wide eyes. Blaze's eyes filled with love and confusion, while Diva's eyes filled with shock and confusion.
As soon as the moment was getting more awkward for Diva, she ran out of the kitchen, Blaze away and locked herself in her old bedroom.
Blaze stood there in shock for a few seconds.
Did she just run away from me after I kissed her? Needless to say, he was also quite stunned at his own behavior. He didn't expect his emotions to go out of control. He had already realized by now that he had feelings for her. There was no denying that.
But he had no idea how Diva felt. He mentally slapped himself for acting so blunt. What if Diva didn't feel the same and pushed him away from her life after the kiss? The thought scared Blaze, as he took an oath to not take such an impulse decision again.

Meanwhile, Diva leaned her back against the door of the room, where she didn't stay anymore.
Taking deep breaths and calming herself a little, Diva took her phone to call her best friend Lina. She had to let it out of her chest. Even the thought of Blaze kissing her was unrealistic.
After a few rings, Lina picked up. "Hey, Diva! How are you?"
Diva took a deep breath, wanting not to get hyped but she ended up hollering, "Blaze kissed me!"
An awkward silence was created over the phone for a while, until Lina let out with excitement, "Girl, spill all the beans right now!"
Diva then started explaining Lina the whole situation. Starting from how Blaze was giving her the silent treatment, to her baking cookies, and how the appreciation for her efforts ended up in a kiss.
"I don't feel like myself anymore, Lina. These days, whenever he touches me, I feel these goosebumps all over me. I am so damn confused," Diva explained.
"About what?" asked Lina.
"About everything."
Letting out a chuckled, Lina stated, "You are in love, Diva."
After a blank expression covered Diva's face, she let out a sudden laugh. "Me and in love with Blaze Hudson? There is no way that's possible."
She continued laughing for some more time, but when Lina didn't reply, she realized that Lina was serious.
"Wait, are you serious? Lina, there is no way I love him. Yes, I do like him. But I don't love him," Diva said and immediately she covered her mouth.
She liked Blaze, more than a friend and she didn't realize it up until now. But love? Wasn't it too much to handle at once?
"Face the truth Diva, you are falling in love with him," Lina stated firmly.
Diva refused to even think that she had fallen for him. She liked him for now and that was enough confession for the night. She didn't want to think of love because she had a game to focus on. She wanted to make her dream game.
"No, Lina. Stop messing up with my mind." Diva continued talking with Lina until she was tired enough. Most of the time, they had a debate about whether Diva was falling for Blaze or not.

On the other hand, Blaze had already returned to his room. He was confused at Diva's reaction.
He hated the thought of Diva not feeling the same he was feeling. But he couldn't deny that he truly loved Diva. There was no confusion, no hesitation, no second thoughts in his mind or heart. He loved her with all his being.
Blaze waited for Diva in his room for a while when he didn't find her in their bedroom. Where is she? he thought.
He looked for Diva on the balcony and even checked the washroom. A sudden uneasiness clung his heart seeing no sight of his wife. He peeked out of the room, only to see the door of the old bedroom of Diva's was closed.
Immediate relief flushed over Blaze. Well, at least she was in the house, he thought.
Blaze plopped on the empty bed and tried to get some sleep. He knew that Diva would sleep in her old room tonight. Because if she intended to sleep with him, she would've returned.
In the meantime, finishing her talk with Lina, Diva still refused to believe that she was falling for him. She just assumed that maybe she was feeling the goosebumps for the kiss.
It will go away, she thought, I cannot fall in lovethat too with Blaze. He is an introvert, but...he is my husband too.
She sighed and laid down on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her thoughts kept bothering her, as she continued thinking about what Lina had told her.
She couldn't sleep with so many thoughts in her mind. It was bothering Diva.
Why had Blaze kissed her? Why was she feeling in this way? Why were there goosebumps? Was it only because it was her first kiss? Weren't they friends only? Why didn't she realize that she liked Blaze? Even if Diva did realize today that she liked him, did Blaze like her back? He has to because he was the one who kissed her first, right? But she was the one who wanted proof.
So many questions kept roaming in her head, but all of them were unanswered.
Diva looked around her decorated bright bedroom. She had designed the room so that it looked lively and lovely. But even her bright room looked dull to her now. She felt weird to stay and sleep there. Rather she found herself missing the dull room of Blaze.
She kept rolling in her bed, once on the left, once on the right. At one point, she laid on her stomach but ended up lying on her back.
She couldn't sleep. Her thoughts were too overwhelming. But more importantly, falling asleep in the same room with Blaze turned out to be a habit.
Diva massaged her own head for a bit, hoping to fall asleep. She counted up to two thousand sheep, which didn't work.
It was painfully obvious she couldn't sleep. The way they kissed was fresh in her mind. Sighing, she sat up and looked at the time to see it was already 3 AM.
Yet, there wasn't a single trace of sleep in her eyes. Who knew a single kiss could have ended up causing this?
Trying to get some sleep once again, Diva got out of the bed, stormed to Blaze's room. After entering the room, she found Blaze sleeping peacefully on the right side of the bed. Automatically, a smile took over her lips.
Fixing his blanket quietly, Diva plopped next to him. She didn't feel the need to keep the pillows between them. She trusted Blaze as much as he did.
With no more thoughts, no more feeling out of place, Diva had peacefully fallen asleep within a few minutes.
