chapter 38: Launch Party

The game 'Choc Hunters' was launched today. Everything was going nicely so far. It was evening, the time for the party on the occasion of the success of the game.
After it was launched, ten million users downloaded it worldwide. People were loving it, and they gave good reviews.
"This time, I will complete this task!" Diva breathed out, her eyes glued to the screen of the laptop.
"No, Diva. We cannot play anymore. It's time for the party," said Blaze, closing his laptop.
The couple was playing the game ever since it was launched. Both of them were excited and were an in-game couple as well.
"Blaze, can we complete one more tas"
"No."
Diva pouted hearing Blaze's reply. He glared at her, causing her to sigh and stand up.
"Fine! Give me some time to get ready," she grumbled while heading towards the bedroom.
Smiling, Blaze called out a maid and asked, "Did you place that dress on the bed?"
"Yes, sir," she replied.

Meanwhile, as Diva went to the room, she saw a beautiful black gown on the bed. There was a piece of paper folded over the dress. There was a jewelry set beside it.
Diva took the paper and recognized it being Blaze's handwriting.
'A princess always wears a gown and waits for her prince to take her hand. So wear this dress and come down, Princess.
- Blaze'
A big grin took over her face. She took the gown and decided to change. It didn't take much time for her to get ready. She wore the diamond set given by Blaze. Slipping into her black stilettos, she fixed her brown hair one more time.
After she was done, Diva got out of the room. Blaze was waiting for her, already changing into a black suit.
He extended a hand after Diva walked through the staircase.
"Can I have your hand, please?" he asked.
With a laugh, Diva placed her hand on his. "Yes, of course."
As they started their way to the car, Blaze complimented, "You look so damn beautiful. Just the way I imagined."
Arching an eyebrow, she asked, "You imagine me?"
"You have no idea, baby," he muttered under his breath, which Diva didn't fail to notice.
She could feel her cheeks turning into a deeper shade of red in embarrassment. Why does he act like that sometimes? Why did I question him in the first place? she wondered.

Diva and Blaze managed to enter into the party venue, with the paparazzi continuously clicking their pictures and asking plenty of questions. They answered some of the questions related to the game but later, went inside, avoiding them.
"Diva!" Lina pulled her into a hug as soon as she saw the couple entering. "Damn! You look stunning. Where did you buy this dress from?"
Gazing at Blaze, Diva let out, "He gifted it to me. Ask him."
"Ma'am, Mr. Revan wanted to meet you," announced Atlas.
Diva glanced at Lina and Blaze, giving them a bright smile, she followed Atlas.
Lina cleared her throat, before speaking, "So, my dear brother-in-law, you didn't tell her how you feel for her, did you?"
He shook his head.
"Why?" questioned Lina. "You love her and I am sure she feels the same for you. Just look at how she listens to you all the time. There is nothing to fear. So why don't you confess?"
"Just nervous," he replied, making Lina roll her eyes.
"Whatever. Just do it soon. It sucks to watch you admire her from afar," She further asked, "By the way, where is the dress from? It is so beautiful."
"Someone from the Exotic Fashion Industry especially designed it for Diva," he answered.
Lina furrowed her eyebrows. "Isn't that the same industry Vyan bought in Italy? One of his employees designed for Diva? Who? I will order a different one for me. That employee has amazing taste in fashion designing."
"Mr. Hudson," the president of the Megamile company called out.
Blaze put his hands in his pocket. "Ivana is the woman who designed the dress," mumbled Blaze before going to the person who called him.
Lina typed the name on the notepad of her phone so that she didn't forget the name. She made a mental note to talk to a designer named Ivana later on.

After Diva talked with some other famous people, she stood near the counter, to grab herself a drink. She barely had time to talk to Blaze ever since they arrived at the party. Everyone was busy congratulating her. Each time she tried to talk to Blaze, someone would call her or her husband.
Diva hated the fact. She wanted to be by Blaze's side all the time. Even though it was for some hours, she felt void within her when Blaze wasn't there with her, supporting her.
It is not only like, Diva told herself.
Blaze was always there for her. When no one supported her, he stood next to her. He even fought with her grandma just to fulfill her dream. It was only because of Blaze, her dream came true. Otherwise, she thought her dream game would always remain a dream.
How could someone be this good? thought Diva as she glanced at her husband, who was talking politely to someone. He is handsome, supportive, caring, loving, understandingjust perfect. So what if he is an introvert? I am an extrovert so together, we can have a nice future. He is adjusting with me, just like I am. I am so much dependent on him.
"Can you imagine a life without him?" Lina asked all of a sudden, causing Diva to shudder. After seeing it was her best friend, she heaved a sigh in relief.
"A life without Blaze?" Diva inquired.
"Yeah. Imagine there was no Blaze Hudson in your life. You never met him nor did you get married."
Diva thought for a while. How would a life without Blaze be? If he wasn't there, she would be stuck in a boring job. She would never be able to lead a life she desired. And most importantly, she would never feel a wonderful feeling called 'love'. Without Blaze, her life would be dark, totally unimaginable.
If someone asked that question to her before, Diva would laugh it off. But now, the thought of not having Blaze in her life scared her.
"Oh my God," Diva mumbled, "I am in love. I love Blaze." She turned to see Lina wasn't there anymore. She was busy talking to Atlas.
Diva looked at Blaze once again and a smile took over her lips. "He is my husband and I love him so much."

The party went wonderful, especially for Diva. It was not only because of her game but also because she realized that she was in love with Blaze. She wanted to confess it to Blaze after freshening up. They were already back at home.
After Diva freshened up, she headed to the living room, where Blaze was busy working on his laptop. He could feel Diva watching him. So he turned his head towards her.
"Do you want to say something?"
She nodded and plopped on the couch, sitting next to him. "Yes."
Blaze closed his laptop and turned his full attention to Diva. "What is it?"
She bit her lips, nervousness hitting her hard. "IBlaze, actually I" before she could complete her sentence, a sudden loud voice interrupted.
"Where is my wonderful and talented daughter-in-law?" Tatiana Hudson hollered but stopped seeing her son and her daughter-in-law in the living room. "There they are."
She approached them, Adrian Hudson, her husband following her quietly.
"I am Tatiana and he is Adrian," Tatiana removed Blaze from the couch and sat next to Diva. "You don't even need to know our name because you are calling us mom and dad. Yet I had to tell our names because the name is a common way to start the conversation."
It took a few seconds for Diva to grasp everything. Then she smiled at Tatiana and spoke, "Oh my God! Finally, I could meet you. I was waiting for this day. And I am Diva, your son's wife. No, wait. You have two sons. My husband is Blaze..."
They both continued to talk, making Blaze and Adrian exchange the same look.
"Out of all the women, why an extrovert?" Adrian asked his son.
Blaze sighed. "I should ask you the same question, Dad."
