chapter 39: Confession
Blaze was walking to and fro in his office. He was beyond confused. He knew he had to confess his love and propose to Diva once again. After all, the way they got married was not nice and he wanted a fresh start with her.
Everything would've been easy if Blaze was aware of Diva's feelings; what if she didn't feel the same?
He had no doubt that Diva liked him, but he was disturbed thinking about love. His feelings were clear from his side, though he was unaware of Diva's feelings.
But I am not the only one who feels the spark, right? Diva must feel it too, thought Blaze.
As he was feeling weird with every passing second, he took his phone and dialed Vyan, the only person who would actually understand him. Within the first ring, Vyan picked it up.
"Hey, bro," greeted Vyan.
"Hi."
"Why do you sound weird?"
Blaze spoke up, "I am confused." He started telling him about everything. Starting from how he felt for Diva to him not knowing how she felt.
Vyan burst into laughter hearing the stress his brother was going through.
"Blaze, how can you know what Diva feels if you don't express your feelings to her in the first place?"
"Butwhat if she doesn't feel the same?" questioned Blaze, sitting on a chair. He started playing with the fountain pen on the table.
"Always thinking about the negative outcomes first." Vyan sighed. "What if she feels the same? Have you thought about that?"
Silence fell over the phone after Vyan's words.
What if she loves me too? wondered Blaze.
"Just be confident and confess your love to her before you propose to her," Vyan suggested.
"How did you know I wanted to propose to her?"
He chuckled hearing Blaze's question. "We are twins, brother."
They talked some more until Vyan had an important task to complete. Blaze was fully encouraged by Vyan. So he decided to do what his heart desired.
Blaze mumbled, "Why do I have to fear rejection when I can be accepted with the way I am?"
With a smile on his lips, he decided to take his parents' help in decorations. His parents were extremely happy at his decision. Tatiana Hudson, his mother, almost hurt her leg with so much jumping in excitement. They agreed to help him without any hesitation.
Even Lina and Atlas were helping him with full dedication.
Everything was okay until Blaze realized he had an important thing to do before proposing to Diva. It was to talk and take the permission of the only family member Diva had. Emerald Adler.

Gulping the orange juice in one go, Blaze looked at the old woman nervously. He had never felt that much scared in his entire life.
The way Emerald was glancing at him with her grey eyes, was indeed scary.
"So" Emerald spoke up at last, "Are you here to officially take my permission before you propose to my only granddaughter?"
Blaze nodded.
Emerald twitched her lips. "I don't understand the point of taking my permission. I mean, it's not like you won't propose to her if I don't agree. Besides, she is your wife already."
He cleared his throat before speaking, "I know it, Grandma. But I want to do everything in the right way. The way I got married to Diva, it was an injustice to us and you all."
She arched an eyebrow.
Blaze continued, "I told you once. I would've taken your permission before I married Diva only if the circumstances were different. We cannot change the past, but the situation is different now. Grandma, I love Diva. I want to be with her forever. And I need your permission for that."
"Do you promise to keep her happy and safe forever? Do you promise to protect her from all danger?"
"Yes, I promise. I will do everything and anything for Diva," answered Blaze.
"Then, I approve."
A smile evolved on Blaze's lips. "Thank you so much."
Emerald smiled big, saying, "I should be thanking you, Son. You already made her the happiest girl by supporting her in fulfilling her dreams. She is the luckiest girl in the world because she has a husband like you. I am so proud of her and you."
Blaze continued chatting with Emerald, explaining to her the proposal he planned. He was happy that things were going smoothly so far. He couldn't wait to propose to Diva tonight.

"Wh" before Diva could say anything else, Lina pushed her to the terrace and sauntered away.
Diva fixed the red gown she was wearing. Lina forced her to wear it. She had no idea why Lina took her to the parlor and decked her up. Lina claimed it to be a 'besties hangout' when Diva asked about it.
Nervously, she walked around the terrace. Beautiful yellow lights have nicely covered the terrace, making it glow. When Diva looked at the ground, she realized she was standing on the rose petals.
Her heartbeat fastened as she continued walking. She saw a man standing in a suit, with a bouquet of red roses in his hand. It was Blaze.
Seeing the sight of Blaze, she heaved a sigh in relief. Blaze was standing next to his chopper until he spotted Diva. He approached her, handing the bouquet.
"For you," he let out.
Diva took the bouquet, happiness surrounding her. Every time she was with Blaze, she would feel the happiest. After all, she loved him so much.
"What's all this about, Blaze?"
"You will find out soon. Let's go inside." Blaze motioned towards the chopper.
Slightly confused, Diva got into the chopper, him following her.
Whatever is happening, I will confess my love to Blaze now, Diva informed herself.
As the chopper started flying, Diva said, "Blaze, I want to tell you som"
He placed a finger on her lip, shushing her. "Just stay quiet for once and look over the window."
He pointed his index finger over something outside. Diva followed where his finger was pointed, only to find they were in the middle of the city.
All of a sudden, some of the city lights flickered and it was written, 'I love you, Diva.'
Diva's eyes widened at the sight of it. Her head snapped at Blaze's direction, only to find a cute smile on his lips.
"It is true. I love you, Diva," he breathed out, "I know our starting was not good and we were forced into a wedding against our will. We chose to save our lives by putting ourselves into a marriage. I didn't think of anyone but me. But now, I want to risk my life to save yours. You changed me a lot. You made me realize that love can happen anywhere anytime. I thought an extrovert and an introvert cannot have a stable marriage, because they are polar opposites. But you changed my opinion."
Tears start to form in Diva's eyes, as Blaze continued, "I know you are thinking that my parents are like us, then why is my opinion different? It was because I thought an extrovert like you could never understand me. But you always proved me wrong, Diva. And honestly, I am blessed to have you in my life."
"Blaze, I "
"I love you, Diva." He pulled out a box from his pocket and opened it, showing the shiny diamond ring. "I want to grow old with your continuous chattering. I want to grow old with your outgoing nature. I want to grow old by holding your hand. I want to stay with you forever. Ms. Diva Adler, will you do the honor of marrying me?"
A gasp escaped from Diva's lips as a tear slid down her eyes. She nodded and mumbled, "I love you, Blaze Hudson."
Chuckling, he smoothly slid the ring through her finger, then kissing her hand.
They glanced at each other, with pure happiness before Blaze pulled Diva into a kiss.
