chapter 37: Nervous
It was time for the final presentation. The game was ready. Tomorrow was the launching day.
"Are you nervous?" Blaze asked while making his way to the meeting room.
Diva shook her head. "Everything is set. I just need to present it to the other members. Why do I need to be nervous?"
"You should be. I am the one making the final decision."
"This is why I am not nervous, Blaze. However, the game will turn out to be, you will give your honest opinion. If there is something you don't like, you will tell it directly."
Blaze was very proud of Diva. She never gave him a chance to feel disappointed by marrying Diva.
With her head up, Diva entered the meeting room followed by Atlas. She took a seat next to Atlas. Blaze decided to let his presence be known as he entered the meeting room later.
Everyone stood up and greeted Blaze. He told them to take a seat and said, "Begin the presentation."
Diva got up from her chair. She attached the Pendrive on the big screen and started showing the demo of the game.
"So, this is 'Choc Hunters'. The specialty of the game is, it has both vehicle racing and fighting. It will start with a race, one can choose any vehicle they want. However, they cannot change the vehicle once the game begins," explained Diva.
"Wouldn't someone get bored by one vehicle for the entire game?" asked Monica, the MD of the Kiwi Inc.
A smile took over Diva's lips. "No. Each person playing a game will be assigned to complete various tasks. They have to get out of the vehicle and complete their assigned tasks. After completing each task, they will be gifted with a part to upgrade their vehicle along with other rewards. In that way, one can never get bored."
As the demo was playing, Blaze couldn't help but be amazed by the high graphics applied to the game.
"What if one fails to complete a task?" asked Blaze, only to find Diva's smile getting bigger.
"Then their vehicle will be seized until that person completes another task and returns back to take his car. So, he will be late for the race too because the race will start from the beginning of the game."
"So, the tasks must be completed between the race?" Atlas questioned curiously. When he saw Diva nod, he let out, "Wow!"
"Why will someone play this competitive game alone?" another person inquired.
Diva let out, "That's the main part. You must marry someone in-game in order to participate in the race. I know I said that the race starts in the beginning, but the first task of the game is to find an in-game spouse before selecting a vehicle."
"I love this idea," Monica told Diva, "I am eager to play this game."
"Yes, I agree," Atlas gave his opinion.
"What about coins though? How will one earn coins?" Blaze asked curiously. He loved the concept of the game. But he wanted to see how far Diva planned everything. "Also, what will happen when someone wins a race?"
"Instead of coins, there will be chocos. It will be counted as coins. One can earn coins too after completing a task." Diva further spoke, "After a person wins the race, they will be promoted to the next round, where there will be monsters appearing in between the race. They will give a nice weapon as a reward to fight in the next round."
"What happens after that?" It was as if Blaze didn't want to let Diva finish her presentation. He was getting more hooked with the game.
She answered, "Well, they will reach a town, where they have to live forever with their respective spouses but not happily ever after. There will be more quests and challenges. Also, more monsters to fight."
As soon as Diva finished, Blaze looked at her proudly. "Good. I love it. It will be launched tomorrow."
Everyone clapped after Blaze's reply. The presentation went well. Diva was satisfied with the game. It was her dream. Just one day and her dream would come true. Now that Blaze had liked the game, she had nothing to worry about. But nervousness could eat one alive.

It was pure silence in the three in the morning. No sane person could be awake at this hour. No one but Diva.
She was standing on the balconygazing at the stars, wondering what her parents would've done if they saw Diva's game. They would have been proud, no doubt in that.
She could never reach this far if Blaze wasn't there. She wouldn't even dare to talk back to her grandma. Blaze made her strong. He supported and trusted her blindly. She was indeed blessed to have a life partner like him.
"Not sleepy yet?" Blaze asked, startling Diva.
She heaved a sigh when she understood that it was a familiar voice, that too Blaze's.
"No. I can't sleep today," she answered in a low tone.
"You are nervous about the game, aren't you?" He stood next to her and looked at the stars. "Your parents are so proud of you, Diva. So am I, Lina, and grandma."
She gazed into his green orbs with her grey ones. "Really?"
Blaze cupped her cheeks. "You have no idea. Grandma calls me every day to ask how you are, whether you have eaten properly, or took a nice nap. She told me you go crazy when it's about games."
Diva pouted. "That's humiliating."
He chortled. "No, it isn't. She is just worried for you and I don't blame her. You really forget to take care of yourself when you are into gaming." He paused for a while and continued, "But, I love it when you do something you desire. I love supporting you in your dream. II love the thought of being a part of your dream. I" love you, he wished to add, which he couldn't. Rather, he fell silent.
"And I love the thought of you being with me all the time, standing right next to me, ready to catch me each time I fall," she let out. "I know you will be there for me all the time, won't you, Blaze?"
He nodded. "Believe me, I will. Forever."
Diva placed her head on his shoulder, both of them now looking at the dark sky.
Even though Blaze couldn't confess his feelings, he knew that his words meant a lot to Diva.
Meanwhile, Diva didn't want to think about her feelings for now. She was extremely nervous about the game. She took an oath not to think about her feelings until she became successful in her gaming career.
