Chapter 34
Third Person’s Point of view
When Logan made fun of Augustus, it was impossible to ignore his rage. His head began to boil up, and he also shifted to wolf and charged towards Logan, but he was stopped by Hadrian, who bit one of his legs before he could reach Logan. Because of Hadrian's strength, the wall was breached, and they were able to get outside to where the garden was.
Due to the events that transpired, the flowers were harmed. Logan was able to swiftly restore his concentration since he was mindful that Archer was in front of him and had the potential to strike.
He didn't make a mistake, as Archer pounced on him almost as soon as he watched Hadrian and Augustus. There are differences in the form of wolves and lycanthropes. Logan didn't understand how Archer could have been stronger than him, despite the fact that the lycan was larger than the wolf. He believes this because Nerus' power has already been transferred to Archer.
Logan must find a method to get out immediately since he would be unable to deal with Archer on his own. They used to be able to defeat Nerus since he had a large number of allies, Archer being one of them. However, since they had made no preparations, he was unsure of what might happen in the future.
Logan glanced at him and pondered how he was going to convince Hadrian that they needed to go back to the fort first since they were in danger of losing. Logan is no longer in control of this territory, thus there is a possibility that Augustus will have another ally. Because just a small army had arrived, Logan was certain that several of Logan's colleagues had been killed as well, based on the amount of Augustus' men that had shown up.
He took a few steps back before approaching Hadrian. He was well aware that withdrawing in this manner would diminish his pride, but he couldn't do anything since he didn't want to squander his life just for the sake of his pride. He also has to learn more about Nerus in order to formulate a strategy. He is unable to devote his whole attention to it at this time since he must first inform Elle of Archer's emergence.
He moved immediately to Hadrian's side and dragged him away from the situation. He was certain that Archer was keeping an eye on him as he attempted to escape, but this did not deter him. Augustus, on the other hand, was clearly dissatisfied with the situation and had intended to pursue Hadrian, but Archer intervened and prevented him from doing so.
When they arrived at a separate place, they discovered that their forces had already been wounded. Logan landed on the ground and yelled at the top of his lungs to halt their opponent.
Because of Logan's outburst, all of their opponents covered their ears with their hands.
"We're going to withdraw!" Logan let out a piercing scream.
His companions stared at him as though they were perplexed as to what he was talking about. Logan had previously stated his motive for doing so so that they wouldn't be doubtful of his abilities.
"Nerus has returned! Either we devise a specific strategy or we shall perish!"
Others sought sanctuary and were aware of the cause for it. When they heard Nerus' name, they shifted quickly and fled as if they were terrified.
They had already fled the Tarragon palace, which was engulfed in flames. The troops under Augustus' command were all concerned about how they would put out the fire. As they run away, Logan recalls the two dukes' discussion about Nerus from before.
"Hadrian, please don't go home to Buckingham Palace. To begin with, summon the two dukes and instruct them to bring all of the literature relating to Nerus."
Hadrian nodded and turned to the other direction. Logan turned to his left and signaled for two guards to follow Hadrian as a back-up.
Without any of them dying, they were able to make their way back to Buckigham palace. Logan, on the other hand, was forced to seek medical assistance because of the large number of wounded. Some of those around him are merely beta, therefore their wounds do not heal as quickly as his, in contrast to his. Others have healed from their wounds, but they are still in a state of vulnerability.
The whole group was unhappy, despite the fact that they were still at the doorway, while Elle was staring out the window, her heart racing with dread since Logan had not said where he was going. If Gaia hadn't informed her that Logan was on his way to Augustus, she would have had no clue what was going on. She assumed Logan was just attending the conference, as he had already informed her.
Logan went to Elle's room to tell her what he had discovered. Elle was not pleased. Logan is concerned about Elle's likely response, but he knows that he must accept Elle's reaction anyway. But he made a commitment to himself that he would not let Elle leave, no matter how much she despised him. He ran upstairs to the bedroom as Elle reached the door, since she could already smell Logan's scent in the air up on the landing.
Just as the door opened, she rushed in and held Logan tighter.
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to Augustus?!" she exclaimed. Elle's voice was clear despite the tears that were streaming down her face. She couldn't fathom Logan entering another land only for the purpose of getting revenge for her.
Logan's eyes widened and were filled with surprise as he realized what Elle had done to him. He also considered keeping what he had learned about Archer a secret, but he immediately recognized that this was not a good idea. He can't do that.
"Elle, I'd want to share something really significant with you."
