Chapter 56

Third Person’s Point of view

"Can you tell me how you're feeling? Are you okay?” In response, Elle moved her eyes around and Archer put her hair behind her ear as she watched. However, the person in front of her did not seem to be familiar with her.

When Archer realized that she had lost her memories, he grinned.

“Yora! Ensure the safety of her throughout her illness." Archer makes his way cautiously towards the Witchers' castle. They may get wet in the rain, but he didn't care since he was relieved to be back again with Elle. It was because Archer opted to leave Augustus' side that Augutus could no longer be found with him.

Two witches came up to Elle and peered at her bloodless visage as they welcomed them. They are perplexed as to why Archer wants to cure Elle because, according to its complexion and heartbeat, it is instantly clear that Elle is not ill at all.

“Nerus, what do you mean to treat her? It's impossible for me to see anything from her wrist." Yora walked over to Elle and gently patted her wrist. "In fact, what I feel is the shifting."

"Shifting?" Archer is puzzled since, according to his recollection, the wolf inside Elle has been awakened, and he is perplexed as to how this could have occurred.

"Yes, there was a tale about a narcotic that had heretofore been translated," Yora explained. " It is said that there is a medicine that may alter the color of your wolf's fur. The thing, however, is considered dangerous since its success rate is just 3 percent and there is a 97 percent probability that anybody who uses it would die as a result of doing so. So, instead of utilizing it for shifting, they use the medicine as a poison and avoid using it altogether. This lady is in the midst of shifting due to the kind of medication she carries in her body, according to her blood flow." Yora stepped away from Elle after letting go of her hand.

"Can anything be done to help her recover her strength?" Archer feels frantic because the appearance of Elle, which he had seen before, does not sit well with him at all.

"There is, but I can't guarantee it."

"Why?"

"Apart from going through this lengthy procedure, anybody who practices unlawful magic may experience memory loss. No matter how much black magic I employ on her, there is no assurance that her memory will be preserved. It will be accepted by Black Magic in return for her healing." Yora turned her back on them and walked away. "As a result, I can't use it against her."

“No. You should do it to her."

Yora's attention was drawn to what Archer had said at that moment since it was the first time anybody had agreed with her. Despite the fact that she has faced this several times, some are concerned about losing the memory of their mate. Just because they don't want to be strangers in the lives of the partner they love, they would rather that they die.

"You don't seem to get what I was trying to say, Nerus—"

"I want to erase all of her memories because I want us to start again from the beginning. I wanted her to forget about the ones who were a part of her life at the time of my disappearance. After all this time, I simply want to remain in her memories now that she's back with me. Just me." Archer's emerald eyes were ablaze with excitement. If it used to be red, it has now become green as a result of Nerus's influence.

~ End Flashback ~

"Who are you?"

Elle's first query to Archer was exactly what Archer had predicted. He couldn't put his finger on why he was so relieved that Elle had finally moved on from Logan. He was certain that he would be able to persuade Elle of whatever he would say. As a result, he took advantage of the situation.

"Elle, do you not remember who I am?" He made his eyes and face sad in order for her to believe him. Elle shook her head and took another glance around the expansive space.

"My name is Archer, and I am your mate. You are my Luna."

"Luna?" Elle questioned, her voice shaking violently, since she had a vague recollection of being told she was not an Alpha female.

As soon as Elle touched her head owing to the acute agony, Archer snatched her by the back of the neck. When she glanced at Archer, she realized that she had memories of the guy in front of her now, but she couldn't see them clearly since the image was still too hazy to be clearly discernible.

"Elle, don't put too much pressure on yourself." Elle's back was stroked by Archer. Elle kept her distance from the guy because something in her brain was telling her not to accept what the man in front of her was saying at that moment.

"Are you hungry? Do you want anything to eat? I'll bring you everything you want," Archer offered. Archer rose to his feet as Elle glanced out the window, her body indicating that it understood what she was doing. Her body appeared to move on its own, as if it were telling her to go up to the window.

She lowered her foot to the cold floor and stood there watching the torrential downpour.

"Elle?" Archer hailed him with a startled voice.

"I must wait for him."

Archer flinched, but he didn't show it to Elle since he was scared. "Who?"

"I really don't know... Still, I'll have to wait for his arrival ."

"But Elle, I'm here, and I'm not sure who you're referring to when you say you have to wait..."

"Are you really my mate?"
