Chapter 54

Third Person's Point of view

"Elle.."

"Elle, wake up ..."

I slowly opened my eyes. When I opened my eyes, all I saw was the faint face. I first let my eyes adjust until I realized who owned this voice. Even if I wanted to stay away from Archer, I couldn't because I didn't have the strength.

I just looked him in the eye and I didn’t give any reaction. He touched my face but he didn't speak..He gave me a pitiful look but I couldn't feel anything. I still can’t believe that the person I loved so much then is here in front of me now.

"Archer ... Why are you here?" I wanted to raise my hand but I couldn't.

I was surprised when he suddenly hugged me. My body went cold and I didn’t know what to say. How did he get here?

I tried to peek at the door but he suddenly touched my face so I looked into his eyes.

“What is happening, Elle? Why are you in this situation?” He touched my hair and stroked it very lightly..I could almost fall asleep with the lightness of his hand.

I did not speak to his question. I also don't know why my condition suddenly became like this. It's been two days since Gaia sent the letter but she hasn't gotten any message back from Logan.

“I'm here because I want to take you back Elle. I was not mistaken when I see you again that you would be in this situation. If I only knew this was going to happen to you, I would have taken you away from here a long time ago.”

I didn't answer him because this wouldn't have happened to me if Logan hadn't left ... or if he had come back earlier. I didn't answer him because my throat was immediately drained even though I was only exhaling a little air.

"Elle, come with me." He took my hand and kissed it. I looked closely at his face. This is not the Archer I seem to love. Archer's skin color was tan while his lips were red. Now, his whole skin is red. But still can't deny that he's still the Archer with a good heart. Logan told me a very different story than what I see today.

What Logan told me was he was bad, why does he still look like Archer? Maybe Logan was just lying because he didn’t trust me. Maybe he thought I would go back to Archer just because he came back.

I smiled bitterly in my heart. Maybe this relationship has no destination because trust does not exist between the two of us.

“Archer, you know that even if I come with you, I still don't feel anything for you. I can't take back how I felt for you like before.” I tilted my head but he touched my cheek to look at him again.

“It’s okay. I know that your feelings for me will come back again because I was the first one you loved. I know you will learn to love me again because you know it is not hard to love me, Elle.”

You are mistaken Archer..My heart has erased your name. Logan marked my heart. If I compare how I felt then with you than I feel now with him, I will no doubt say that I love him more. Kind of because I love him so much, I'm immersing myself in the pit.

But I think Logan might just think of me as a sex slave because he hasn't come back to me yet. Maybe as others say, I'm just one of his favorite toys. I couldn’t help but get hurt.

"You can't use me anymore, Archer..My bones in my body are so paralyzed that even just lifting my hand, I'm having a hard time." I’m not sure if he can hear me because my voice is so weak. Even I can no longer hear myself. Even the sharpness of my hearing as a wolf was gone as well.

"What do you mean?"

Oh. It looks like he hasn't noticed yet..He thought maybe I was just lying down while I had no appetite for everything.

I averted my eyes from him and noticed his glaring eyes. He suddenly stood up from his seat and suddenly lifted my body. My eyes widened at what he did. Whether I want to push him or not, I can't. I wanted to ask where he would take me but my throat was empty.

“I need to get you out of here, Elle. You can't be here any longer.” When he said that, he opened the door and I noticed that the whole corridor was quiet. Where is Gaia?

Even though Logan is still not coming back, I don’t want to leave this place. I still want to wait for him to return. But I don’t think I can do it anymore.

"But for now, you must rest."

When he said that he put his hand over my eye. And after a while, I felt that the surroundings became quiet and I lost consciousness.

Logan's Point of view

“Oh God! We're finally done!” Apollo got up and went out first. Another duke followed him while I stood up straight to tell the guard to get my horse ready. I need to go back to see what's going on in the palace.

As soon as I came out, there were two guards in front of me. The first was already holding my horse while the other was holding six papers.

Why is Gaia in such a hurry? Why did she send so many papers?

But instead of opening those papers I just passed the guard..I just finished reading books and planning about Nerus, I can't afford to read more letters. My brain is too tired.

"Your Majesty, there is a problem with the palace and we need to get back earlier." Giving me the horse, the paper holder spoke.
