Chapter 62
Elle's Point of view
I woke up with no one next to me. I snapped back to reality because maybe Archer was already looking for me!
I was about to stand but I was stopped when the door opened again. I could smell the food so I looked at the door. I saw Logan smiling as a woman followed him.
I raised an eyebrow. I didn’t see anyone with him last night. Who is this woman?
I saw the woman with a streak of panic. I just raised my forehead to show him I was annoyed. I don’t know why I’m annoyed that Logan is with her. This is not what I felt every time Archer talks to a witch. I hate that I don’t remember anything. It was as if I were groping in the dark and wanted to get the answer to my question.
“Oh! He is awake.” Logan handed the food he was holding to the woman. I looked at that and lost my mood even more.
What is he doing and why is he with another woman now? Logan walked over to me and then sat on the bed I was lying on. He took my hand and kissed it. My eyes widened and my cheeks turned red. I looked at the woman to see her reaction but she was just smiling.
She came even closer to me and presented me with the food she was holding. "I'm glad you're back, Ladyship."
Suddenly the questioning formed in my brain. Ladyship? I read in the book that that title is only given to the emperor's wife or to a royal's wife who rules a kingdom. Logan faked his cough and then spoke.
“She doesn’t remember anything yet, Gaia. So if she gives a weird treatment, it's because she has no memory. And she’s not going back to Buckingham yet. I also don't want you to open another topic with her.”
“We won't bother you, Elle. Eat that first and I'll come back to you when you are done.” He got up and the woman came out first without even introducing herself to me.
When Logan was about to step away, I pulled his hand hard so he could sit back. The meal on the bed table was almost spill out.
I looked again at the woman he called Gaia because she might come back but I never saw her again.
"Is there a problem, Elle?"
My heart was pounding as I looked at Logan. Someone tells me I need to know something.
It was like whispering but I didn't know what to ask him. He doesn't look suspicious so I know he can be trusted.
“Logan ... about Gaia mentioned about calling me Ladyship. Why did she call me that?” I played with my fingers when I finished releasing him. He looked at me playing with my nails.
But I hoped he would answer the question, I was wrong. He just messed up my hair and then kissed my forehead. "Don't worry about that, eat that first."
“But—”
"No more buts." He placed his finger on my lips to shut me up.
I just nodded and pouted. I also need to leave because maybe Archer is looking for me everywhere now. I don’t know how long the fake magic Yora did will last.
I expected him to come out but I could see on my peripheral vision that he was just watching my every move. I became more and more conscious. I saw a small raddish slice. I took it with chopsticks then I lifted it and placed it in front of his mouth. The astonishment on his face was obvious as if he didn't know what to do with the thing in my hand.
"Say ahh."
He was obviously surprised by what I said because his face suddenly turned red and his serious face could not cover his reaction.
"What?" I raised an eyebrow as I looked at him. He swallowed tensely but I don't know why I was happy with his reaction.
"Are you serious?" He grabbed my hand holding chopsticks and pulled me slightly. I just nodded because is there a reason for me not to be serious?
He opened his mouth and I don't know if it was because he was handsome but he looked so sexy while he was chewing his food. Add to that his attractive jaw and the adams apple that seems to encourage me to lick it.
"You really know how crazy I am, Elle." He breathed.
“Well, you being crazy with me is not that bad.”
