CHAPTER 22

Calla was sitting in the meeting room with Sidney. Ethan had allowed her to work. She was now living in her own house. Calla started to live her normal life during the day time. And in the evening, she helps Ethan to find the witches behind those spells. Calla was sitting in the meeting room but her mind was elsewhere. She and Ethan were closer. They weren't dating officially, but they were a couple. Calla was happy with him. He was caring and possessive. And she always liked it. The boring meeting was eating her alive. She was stealing glances of the wall clock. She couldn't wait any longer. She wanted to see him, hug him and tell him everything that had happened to her the whole day. She smiled at the thought of him kissing her in the kitchen. Sidney was sitting beside her. She noticed Calla was smiling over nothing. But she didn't bother to ask her or disturb her. Sidney was happy seeing her best friend happy. Ethan was perfect for Calla. Knowing that he is the only person in this world after Xavier who can make her smile whenever she is sad. Sidney always had wished a caring and loving person like Ethan for Calla.

Calla started swinging her chair, she was paying attention towards the meeting as well but it wasn't easy anymore. Ethan is always in her head, making her smile. Calla sighed in relief when the presentation was over. It was 6 in the evening. She knew she would find Ethan at her place. She quickly went to her office, packed her stuff and went to her car. She hopped in the car and quickly drove off.

She reached home after an hour drive. She stepped out of the car and fished out the door keys from her bag. She went to the door to unlock it but it was already unlocked. She smiled, she knew he would be at her place waiting for her after his work. She stepped into the house and locked the door behind. She could hear some sounds coming from the living room, (he must be watching the TV.) She thought as she made her way to the living room.

"Hello Calla, did you miss me babe?" She heard those words from behind and she froze on her place. She couldn't believe he would ever dare to come back here. But she was wrong, he was here. Henry was here.

"Why are you here?" Calla asked. She was angry but she controlled herself.

"Oh come on baby. You thought a slap and a few curses would end our relationship, well I don't think so. I'm here to get us back together." Henry said with a grin on his face.

"We have nothing to be together anymore Henry. Get out of my house before I kick you out." Calla threatened him. She turned around to leave but Henry held her shoulder tightly. She grabbed his wrist, twisted his arm behind his back and kneed his stomach hard.

"Aaaahhhh…" Henry grawned in pain and knelt on the ground.

"That's what happens when you try being a jerk around a lady. Next time, keep your hands off of me or I won't be gentle like I was a moment ago." Calla said and turned around to leave. She took a few steps ahead and heard someone gagging. She turned around to look and found Henry in the air. Ethan was holding him high by his neck.

"You dare to even think about hurting her, you pig." Ethan growled and threw Henry. He flew back and hit the wall. He landed on the ground with a loud thud.

"Ethan stop." Calla yelled and Ethan looked at her. His eyes were red with rage but he controlled himself. He knelt down on the ground beside Henry and grabbed the collar of his shirt.

"If I were you, I would stay far far away from her. This was the last time I am seeing you here and you are leaving alive, but if I see you around her ever again, then she won't be able to save you. Now get out." Ethan growled at Henry. Henry quickly stood up and ran out of the house. Ethan went to Calla and cupped her face. "Are you okay love?" He asked in a worried tone. Calla smiled and kissed his palm.

"I'm fine Ethan, don't worry." She assured him. "Now tell me what took you so long to be here. I thought you said you would be here by 6." Calla added.

"Yeah, about that. Get ready. We have to go somewhere." Ethan replied. She nodded and went upstairs to her room. She took a quick shower and changed into her casual jeans with a tank top and buttoned up shirt. She went downstairs and found Ethan in deep thoughts, he was looking out of the window. She walked towards him slowly and wrapped her arms around his waist from behind. Ethan inhaled deeply and pulled her in front of him. She leaned up to meet his height and captured his lips in a soft but long kiss.

"I missed you all day." She murmured in his mouth. He smiled hearing her confession. He pulled her even closer and deepened the kiss. After a minute or so he broke the kiss when she was out of breath. He kissed her forehead and pulled her for a loving hug.

"I missed you too, but right now we need to go." Ethan said. He didn't want that moment to be over. But he knew they would continue later. They needed to be at his friend's house, who was going to help him find those witches. Calla inhaled his masculine scent deeply and nodded her head.

"Okay, let's go then." Calla said. Ethan scooped her up in his arms and carried her bridal style. He stepped out of the house and started running towards the woods. In a few seconds he was standing in front of a cabin. It was made of wood and looked very old. But still it looked very beautiful. "Where are we and why are we here?" Calla finally asked the question that was buzzing in her head.

"This is the cabin of an old friend of mine. He will help us to reach one of those witches." Ethan explained. The door swung open and a muscular man came out of the cabin.

"Ethan my friend, I was waiting for you. And you are the lovely Calla Davis. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Buddy you are very lucky." That man said.

"Calla, meet Andrew Red. He is a good friend of mine and he and I share the same Master." Ethan introduced.

"Oh, nice to meet you Mr Red." Calla greeted him.

"The pleasure is all mine sire. Now let's go. We don't want to be late. We don't have much time left." Andrew said and led them both into the cabin. Calla looked around, his cabin was fully decorated with so many plants and flowers. He led them both into a creepy room. Calla grabbed Ethan's hand tightly. Ethan squeezed her hand a little with a smile. They stepped into the room and calla gasped. Whole room was dark and only a few candles were lit. Ethan made her sit on one of the coaches in the room and he himself sat in one of the circles that was drawn on the ground. She knew they were performing a magic spell to find a way to get to one of those witches. Ethan and Andrew started reciting a spell together over and over again. Calla felt uneasiness as they started reciting the spell.

"Are you sure Andy this is the right spell?" Ethan asked as he felt the same uneasiness as Calla.

"Hahaha… no. It's not the right spell, for you both actually. You know Ethan Carter, you should have done that yourself. It's a binding spell, now you can't get out of this circle. Now I'm taking her and you both enjoy each other's company." Said the man who just entered the room. Ethan looked at Calla who was laying on the couch, unconscious.
