CHAPTER 44

THIRD PERSON'S POV:-


Calla opened the fifth latter to read. Ethan was busy with his work. Calla read the latter in horror, Calla looked at Ethan in horror. Ethan came and sat beside her. He snached the latter from her hands and started reading it.


"Dear Calla and Ethan,
Go and find Sidney. She doesn't know what is happening with her. Her Alpha is in trouble and will soon die if you didn't help him. Go and find them, you'll find the next letter in the Alpha's cabin. They are planning to kill the Alpha Drew to take his place then frame Sidney. I hope you won't be late.
Dalton.


Ethan wrapped the latter and offered his hand to Calla, she took it and Ethan made her stand up. He pulled her out of the house, they both hopped into the car and drove off.


SIDNEY'S POV:-


I was sitting on one of the couches in the room of the Alpha. Alpha was sick and no one knew the reason. The pack doctors were trying their best to find out the reason behind his sickness. But they came up with nothing. I was feeling nervous. Beta Patric had ordered me to be by Alpha's side. But I knew Alpha Drew hated me. Ever since I was born, he had hated me. Just because of the promise he had made to my father, he hadn't kicked me out of the pack. I knew if he opened his eyes he would be mad at me. Of course I cared about my Alpha. He was everything to me.

"Water…" a weak whisper made its way to my ears. I stood up and grabbed the glass of water. I went to the Alpha's bed and knelt down on the ground. I slipped one of my hands under his head and pulled his head up. Then I helped him drink water. He was staring at me. I could see the hatred in his eyes and that broke my heart. I controlled myself and my emotions. As he was done, I stood up again and went back to my seat.


"You must be very happy seeing me like this." He whispered but due to our super senses, I heard him loud and clear. I went back to him and again knelt beside his bed.


"If only you could read my mind, you would know how much it kills me to see you like this." I replied with tears in my eyes.


"Like I don't know you. I know you would be very happy if I would die." He said. I felt a sharp pain in my chest.


"You and I both know, I don't lie." I replied. I adjusted his comforter over his body then went back to my seat. I wanted to run away so I could cry loudly. The man I was in love with, hated me. I was quietly sobbing and wiping my eyes. I didn't want to show that heartless man that I love him.


The door opened with the thud and beta Patrick stepped in. I looked at him, he looked angry. He grabbed fist full of my hair and pulled them aggressively. I yelped in pain. "You thought you could kill our Alpha that easily and we would let you. Was that the reason you have asked us to stay with him?" He yelled at me.


"What? You ordered me to be with him. You ordered me in front of everyone." I replied.


"You dare to lie in front of the Alpha?" He said and pushed me on the floor. Fell on the ground with a loud thud. I hurt my head. But still I stood up to explain myself.


"He is lying Alpha. He is the one who told me to be with you. I know you hate me. Why would I do anything against your will?" I asked while sobbing.


"She was giving you poison Alpha. She wanted you dead." Beta Patric replied.


"I don't think so she is the one who's lying." I heard a familiar voice. I turned to look and found Calla standing at the door frame of Alpha's bedroom. She had a smirk on her face. Beta Patric lunged himself at her. But she didn't move an inch. Before Beta Patric could touch her, Ethan jumped between Calla and Beta Patric. He grabbed Beta Patrick's neck and slammed him on the ground.


"You weren't even born when I learned to fight little rascals like you." Ethan said.


"Alpha Drew, Sidney isn't the one who is poisoning you but your own Beta. He wants to become an Alpha." Ethan said loudly. Calla made her way to Alpha's bed. She injected something in Alpha's neck before we could understand what she was up to.


"What did you inject inside me?" Alpha Drew asked.


"Relax dumb head. I injected something that will save your life." She replied and took a few steps away from the bed. I didn't understand until Alpha Drew started shaking. I tried to help him but Calla stopped me. She grabbed my hand and started walking aimlessly in the Alpha's cabin.


"Where are you taking me Calla? I need to be by my Alpha's side." I pleaded to her. She ignored me and kept walking. She stopped in front of the bar. She let go of my hand and went into the bar. She touched all the bottles in the bar and pulled out a red square bottle. She threw it on the floor and it shredded into pieces. She knelt down and pulled out a piece of paper. She smiled and stood up again.


"This belongs to me. My grandfather left it here. Now let's go back. Your Alpha will stand up any time." She said and grabbed my hand again. She pulled me back into Alpha's bedroom where everyone was ready to kill Ethan.


"Hold it right there or you all will lose your powers." She yelled loudly. Beta Patrick again lunged himself at Calla but this time, she was saved by Alpha Drew. He slashed Beta Patrick's neck. Beta Patrick fell on the ground and in a few seconds we saw him lying dead on the ground. Alpha Drew roared loudly and a few wolves knelt down on the ground. They were the traitors. They knew everything but betrayed their Alpha. Alpha Drew looked at me, we both growled loudly together and lunged at them. We both killed them all. Ethan carried Calla bridal style and zoomed out of the cabin. I turned to look at Alpha. He pinned me by the wall and captured my lips in a passionate and hungry kiss. I smiled and gave him all of me.
