CHAPTER 34
Calla took one of the shredded pieces of broken bottle in her hand and smiled. She stood up and went to her bedroom. She sat on one of the couches in her room. She took off the pendant again and put it aside. She made a small cut on her palm and screamed on the top of her lungs. In a minute or so, the door of her bedroom burst open and Ethan stepped in. Ethan looked around and found no one except for Calla. He sighed in relief and started walking towards her. He held Calla's hand and brought it to his lips. He licked her wound and in a few seconds it healed. "When did that happen?" Calla asked as she held her hand high.
"I don't know, right after I drank your blood, I guess." Ethan replied in a guilty tone. Calla held his hand and kissed his cheek.
"Why are you feeling guilty?" Calla whispered.
"You have witnessed something I kept hidden from you. I didn't want you to see the monster inside me." Ethan replied. Calla rested her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around him tightly. Ethan also wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.
"If it wasn't for that monster, you would be dead and I don't know what Draco would have done to me." Calla replied in a low voice. She looked at him with a grateful smile on her face.
"How are you feeling?" Ethan asked in a worried tone.
"I'm fine Ethan. Don't change the topic. I know what is going on in your head." Calla replied angrily. She broke the hug and punched his chest hard.
"What were you thinking when you decided to leave without any explanations? You have done so much for me. It was once I got the chance to do something for you. I know it was all horrible but if you wouldn't have done that, I won't be standing in front of you right now." Calla reasoned with him.
"I don't know. I felt like you wouldn't like to see me around anymore. The monster in your nightmares is more scary." Ethan replied.
"How can you just jump to conclusions? Without asking me. I can see you have gained your powers back. Couldn't you just read my mind before leaving me like that?" Calla asked.
"How do you know I got my powers back?" Ethan asked back.
"Like you know about the monster in my dreams. Ethan we are connected, you said it yourself. Then why did you go away from me?" Calla asked.
"Because I didn't want to see hatred or fear for me in your eyes." Ethan explained.
"I know whatever happened there, was a nightmare for both of us. But that doesn't mean I would hate you or something." Calla replied. Ethan smiled and pulled her in a hug. She tried to push him away because she was still angry at him but she couldn't resist his scent. She inhaled his scent and buried her face in his chest.
"So, you saw Lilly?" Ethan asked. Calla nodded her head.
"She was the one who gave me the idea to make you drink my blood." Calla replied.
"You and I are having the same dreams again. Your blood is far more powerful than I had imagined. Your blood actually broke the curse that was casted five hundred years ago and that too by the most powerful witch I have ever known." Ethan said.
"Promise me you will never leave me alone again. Ethan, I can't imagine living without you." Calla pleaded.
"I promise, I won't. I'm so sorry, Calla. I should have waited for you to wake up." Ethan apologized.
"It's okay, just don't do that ever again." Calla replied.
"What if that monster came back out again, and tried to hurt you?" Ethan asked.
"Then I will kiss him to fall asleep so you can come back to me." Calla replied confidently.
"You are just like Lilly." He replied and pulled her to the bed. They both laid down, cuddling with each other. Calla laid on top of him. He wrapped his arms around her waist. They laid there in silence, enjoying each other's warmth. Calla snuggled closer to his chest and he kissed the top of her head.

A week passed and everything was getting back to normal. Calla was back at Ethan's place. Ethan wasn't worried anymore about Calla's security. Draco was the one behind it and Ethan killed him. Now the only thing left was to find Sophie, which was very difficult. Ethan knew nothing about the Storm Riders except for the stories his mother had told him. Calla started her work again. Until they would recover from all the damage Draco's men had done, Calla suggested Sidney, to use Xavier's house as their office.
It was evening when Calla came back home. She knew Ethan would be in his master's room. She went straight to Dalton's bedroom. Ethan was busy in his work when Calla wrapped her arms around him from behind. He smiled and turned around. He also wrapped his arms around her. He scooped her up in his arms and carried her like a baby. Calla also wrapped her legs around his waist. He captured her lips in a hot and passionate kiss. He bit her lower lip and she moaned loudly in his mouth. He caged her between the book shelf and his tall frame. She threw her head back as he started sucking the skin of her neck. Her head collided with the box on the shelf. It fell on the ground and broke into pieces. They broke their romance session and knelt down on the ground. While Ethan was collecting all the pieces to fix the box, Calla found a piece of paper under the box pieces. She pulled it out and looked at it. It was a letter, it was written by Dalton himself. She showed it to Ethan who was surprised to see something he had never seen before. They started reading the letter together.
"My dear Calla and Ethan,
If you have found this latter, that means you are seeking for answers. From now on, you are going to find 15 more letters like this. All fifteen letters together will tell you the only way to defeat the Storm Riders. But you have to find the letters first. Each letter will take you to the people who need your help. You will receive fifteen letters to help some people. Each letter will take you to the next letter. You have to collect all the letters by the dark day. The day when the Sun will be dark and day will turn into night.
The first thing you need to do is help the innocent girls who are bothered by a vampire, named Austin. He frightens people, harasses innocent girls. He drinks the blood of the pure souls without their will. It grants him more power and satisfaction. You go and meet Mrs Paul, whose daughter, Novella is his new victim. And there is no one who is willing to help them. Because the vampire is too strong for anyone to handle but you both. Mrs Paul lives in New Orleans with her 3 children. I hope you will be able to reach the second letter.
Good luck.
Dalton."
Calla refolded the letter and they both stared at each other for a moment. "I think we have to go to New Orleans." Ethan replied while standing up. He offered his hand to Calla, who happily accepted it and stood up with him. He kissed her again and they both stepped out of Dalton's room.
