CHAPTER 52

All the creatures lunged themselves at the Riders. But even though they were thrice in number against the Riders, still the Riders were winning. Most of the creatures were lying on the ground unconscious. The leader of the Riders lunged himself at Ethan. Ethan wrapped his arms around Sophie to keep her safe. Calla pulled the sword from Ethan's back. She attacked the leader of the Riders.


With one easy swing of his hand, he slapped Calla and she fell on the ground. Riders encircled Ethan and started beating him mercilessly. The leader of the Riders kicked his stomach and he spat blood on the ground. He was coughing hard. The Riders pulled Sophie away from Ethan and was taking her back. The leader of the Riders took a broken branch of the tree and stabbed Ethan in his chest. "No!!!" Sophie screamed loudly and started punching the Rider that was carrying her back.


Calla opened her eyes and found Dalton sitting beside her. "Wake up my dear. It's no good time to sleep." He said. Seeing him, she started crying. Because she knew everything was over. Ethan was dying and Riders were taking Sophie back.


"It's all over. I lost everything again." She said between her sobs.


"I won't agree with you. You still stand a chance against the situation here." Dalton replied


"Look at them, it's over." She yelled but Dalton just chuckled.


"Didn't I tell you before, it's impossible to defeat the Storm Riders but there is always a way. Find that way." He said.


"How? Tell me and I will do it." She asked.


"I can't tell you that. You have to figure that part out." He replied.


"I don't know anything." She yelled at him again.


"Tell me one thing my dear, will you let them take away your family? Will you let them destroy your happily ever after? Will you let them take your niece away from you? Will you let them kill Ethan? Will you let them?" He asked her.


"No, I will not." She replied.


"Didn't I tell you that you are more powerful than any of us?" He asked and she nodded her head.


"Then get up Calla and fight for whatever means the world to you. Get up and fight. They can't take anything away from you. You can take it all back." He said and Calla balled her fists.



Beta Adam and Alpha Drew lunged themselves at the Rider who was carrying Sophie. They succeed to free Sophie from his hold. Sidney quickly scooped Sophie into her arms and ran into the direction where they all had parked their cars. The leader of the Riders pulled his sword out and aimed for Ethan's neck. "Nobody can hurt my family. NOT ANYMORE!!!" Ethan heard Calla's Voice. It was different from her usual voice. It was more gruffy and heavy than Calla's voice.


The leader of the Riders turned to look at Calla. Her eyes were glowing in violet color, like two stars. She roared loudly at him. She puts her palm on the blade of the sword and slides it upwards. The sword's blade became red with her blood. She swung the sword and before the leader could understand what was happening, she decapitated his head. The head of the leader fell on the ground. Calla put her foot on his head and roared loudly again.


All the Riders looked at the head of their leader under her foot. A horrific look appeared on their faces. They all exchange looks then bowed their heads in front of Calla. Wind started blowing like a storm was about to come. With a strike of the lighting, all the Storm Riders disappeared.


Calla ran towards Ethan. She cut her wrist and held it close to his mouth. As the scent of berries hit his nostrils, his eyes turned pitch black. He held her wrist tightly and started drinking her blood. Gulp after gulp, he drank from her wrist. Once his wounds were fully healed, he let go of her wrist and pulled her close to him. Before she could react, he captured her lips in a long and hungry kiss.


He bit her lower lip and she moaned. He slipped his tongue into her mouth and devoured her mouth. He let go of her when she was out of breath. Breathing heavily, she stared into his eyes. Suddenly, her head spun as she felt dizzy. She shut her eyes and darkness engulfed her.

Calla opened her eyes and found herself laying on a familiar bed. She looked around and recognized the room. She was in Ashley's castle. The door opened and Ashley walked into the room. He sat at the edge of the bed and held her hand. "How are you feeling, my child?" He asked.


"I'm better. My head hurts but I'm better. What happened to me?" She asked.


"Congratulations, you are pregnant." He replied with a proud grin on his face.


"What? I thought he was a vampire, we couldn't have any babies." She asked


"True, but he is a hybrid and a born vampire, so you can have his child. You are pregnant with his child." He replied. Her cheeks turned pink and she narrowed her eyes. Ashley chuckled and stood up to leave.


"Grandpa, don't you think it's your time to live your life as well. We all deserve a second chance. You deserve it as well." She asked with a smile.


"I know, my child. I promise I will live my happily ever after as well. As I am not cursed anymore. Thanks to you." He replied with a grateful smile. She nodded her head and he walked out of the room. She patted her tummy lovingly, knowing that there was a life growing inside her and smiled widely.


The door opened again and Sophie came running into the room. She opened the closet and hid inside it. "Where are you, my little baby vampy?" Ethan asked as he stepped into the room. Calla smiled at the pet name he had given to Sophie. Sophie giggled and Ethan grinned mischievously. He opened the closet door and scooped her up in his arms. He swung Sophie in the air then tickled her tummy. She giggled and hugged him tightly.


He took her to bed and sat beside Calla with Sophie in his lap. "Come on Sophie, let's go. I'll show you the garden with strawberries." Andrew came and said. Sophie jumped off of Ethan's lap and ran towards Andrew excitedly.


"Be careful Andrew. I will break your neck if I see a single scratch on her." Ethan threatened him and he just bowed his head. Calla giggled seeing his care towards Sophie. He reminded her of Xavier. He used to care for her exactly the same.


"Thank you so much." He whispered in her ear and buried his face in the crock of her neck. He inhaled her sweet berries scent deeply.


"For what?" She asked.


"For being into my life. For trusting me. For giving me a family." He replied. He pulled her onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her protectively.


"What happened to me in the forest?" She asked.


"It was your child. It gave you power to save your family. Our child is, I don't know, it's something else. Something we haven't seen or heard of. Our child is very special." He replied proudly and patted her tummy lovingly.


"I love you." She said and rested her head on his chest.


"I love you too." He replied and kissed the top of her head.

EIGHT YEARS LATER:-



"Come on, Athena. I am tired now." Sophie cried and sat on the couch.


"You lost again Sophie." The baby replied and jumped into Sophie's lap. Sophie kissed her cheek and wrapped her arms around her tightly.


"You are so cute, my little bundle of joy." She said to the baby.


"I love you too Sophie." The little girl replied.


"Sophie, Athena, come downstairs. Daddy is home." They both heard Calla. Sophie picked the little Athena into her arms and went downstairs. Sophie made the baby sit on the couch and ran towards Ethan. Ethan just opened the door and Sophie jumped on him. Hugging him tightly.


"You're back daddy." She squealed in happiness.


"Of course my little baby vampy. How are you?" He asked and carried her into the house like a baby.


"I am good. I just missed you so much." She said and Ethan chuckled.


"I have missed you too." He replied.


"I've missed you too, Daddy." Little Athena squealed in happiness. He picked her as well and took them both to the living room. He pecked the cheeks of his both daughters and they pecked him back.


"Come on now. Let him breath, girls." Calla said.


"Okay aunt Cal." Both girls said. Sophie picked her cousin in her arms and took her back to her bedroom. Calla went to Ethan and sat into his lap. She leaned closer to his ear and licked his earlobe.


"I have missed you too, Mr Carter." She whispered in a low seductive voice. She heard him growling into his chest. In a blink of an eye, they were into their bedroom, laying naked on their bed. He kissed her deeply and pushed his shaft inside her. She moaned loudly as he started pumping himself in and out. They made love to each other while their daughters were playing with each other.
