I woke up to more darkness, my mistake was being born cos if I had never been born then my father won’t be dead, and my best friend will not be dead and my other friend half-dead and the rest of my friends in anxiety and patience for whose death was coming next.

“You are finally awake, good” Xavier got up “you can see why I don’t trust you because you always try things like this” wow rub it in more Xavier like you haven’t already humiliated and disgraced me enough. “Winter, I got a call rather your father’s phone got a call which I picked, you are not expected in school for another month, so you know what this means. I can teach you a lesson better, you are going to stay down here for that whole month thinking about what you have done wrong"

“Can I at least see Jax?"

"Jax? for what reason"

"He is my very good friend, at least just once before you lock me in here for a whole month"

“I don't think I like that idea, but okay Jax will visit you later today and you will be allowed twenty minutes to talk to him about whatever” Xavier walked out of the dungeon.

I hate my life, I screamed into the hollow room, there was limited air and I was already sweating. What did I do to earn this ill-treatment I was not particularly sure.

“Jax you have twenty minutes so make it quick” Xavier unlocked my wrist and closed the door behind him when he walked out

“My queen,” he looked back and looked at me "His majesty said you wanted to see me"

"Yes, I wanted to see a friend" he smiled

"Oh" he turned back then looked at me "I can help you"

"Seriously?" I asked rubbing my wrist and my arms.

“Yes, I want to give you some advice, My queen this is the most reckless and dangerous thing I have ever done but you are my friend so I will help you escape,” he whispered “I am sure you know the witch, Meredith”

“Yeah”

“She is the only person that can help you right now, after this I guess the prince is going to meet his father to discuss what you interrupted before, I am going to sneak back and help you out of here”

“Don’t you have to follow him?” I asked

“You are not new to the concept of glamouring your highness so you just have to stay awake I will even help you to her cottage”

“That’s not necessary I know the way”

“If you say so”

“Oh Jax, I could jump your bones right now” I exclaimed

“Your highness won’t really appreciate that”

“Thank you, how can I ever repay you”

“By not ever coming out of that house till the day you die”

“What if he finds out”

“Not what if, he would definitely find out”

“And you would take the blame”

“You helped me get the best night of my life, I owe you my life”

“I knew it, you had sex with her”

“Times up,” Xavier said and opened the door “trust you had a nice time”

“Thank you for the wonderful experience your highness” Jax bowed and walked out of the room

“Go on call me a slut”

“I cannot do that it goes against everything I stand for” he pressed my hand into the cuffs.

“Do you have to pierce my hands first before locking it” I cried out and trashed against him

“How else is it supposed to hurt?” he pressed my other hand into the cuff and closed it “have a fabulous night”

“My queen,” Jax said and I looked up quickly, I was so fucking hungry and thirsty, I could drink the whole ocean and eat all the fishes in it, no joke.

“Jax, did you bring food or water”

“Do not fret you will have to eat and drink when you get to Meredith’s home” he unlocked the cuffs around my hands quickly then led me out the door, he opened the door to hell for me and gave me the key.

“Thank you, Jax” I hugged him tightly and ran into the tunnel, the door shut hard behind me and I jumped, Okay do not panic now you can panic when you are in the woman’s house but for now you have to walk forward, just keep swimming, just keep swimming. I chanted in my head in the words of Dory. What if Xavier meets at the same exact moment you get out of this tunnel, that is true, that would be the biggest disaster. I started running in the tunnel then I opened the second door and the third, the last door.

Finally freedom. I ran towards the crystal lake, it was farther than what my mind had been explaining. Truth is hell was a big place when no one was accompanying you and talking to you. My heart started beating faster in my chest as I approached the lake, I jumped on the rocks carefully and was ecstatic when no one came out of nowhere and yanked me back with magic.

I walked forward and my whole body received a shock.

“Who goes there” I heard the old woman’s voice, she came out holding her huge stick, please don’t wack me in the head with that.“Child” she exclaimed

“Does this mean I cannot get into your house?”

“No, this is my barrier” she waved her hand above her head and dragged me forward “and theirs is over there, I do not bother them they do not bother me” I walked into the house that she led me into, it was pretty bright and there were no huge bubbling cauldrons oozing green liquid so she was a good witch cool.

“Why are you here”

“We have a common enemy and the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” I said

“Before you explain, there is someone I would like you to meet” I was led into a room, my father was laying on a bed grunting in pain.

“Daddy” I ran to him and clutched his bedside “I cannot believe it, you saved him. Oh thank you” I said with tears of joy

“Darling” he stroked my cheek

“Daddy look at you, you are fine. How is he fine?” I asked, not that I was complaining but he was supposed to be dead.

“You know that I have magic child”

“Why haven’t you left this place then” I placed my hand on my hips

“My magic is not that strong, and besides this place is very cozy, let’s talk over tea” She led me to the living room, I sat down and immediately a saucer with a cup of tea landed in my hand
