Standing in front of so many people is hard, they all had their eyes on me and besides that, they knew me as the girl that openly said 'God bless you' to the king of demons the mighty Lucifer Hades. A waiter came with a platter of red liquid, wine probably. I took my glass and a metallic smell hit my nose, no it was blood. Licking my blood was one thing, but slurping someone else's blood was another thing, A VERY DISGUSTING THING AT THAT.

"Xavier?" I whispered, he gestured for the waiter to come back.

"Get her champagne" I dropped the glass on the platter and smiled at the crowd. BEING THE ONLY HUMAN IN THE ROOM SUCK BALLS. I sighed, the waiter came back with my glass.

"Thank you," Xavier said and handed the glass to me, from my peripheral vision I saw Lucifer facepalm, probably embarrassed at the amount of time we took to make a simple speech.

"Before I start, I would like to confirm you all know this is not all from my heart" there were murmurs and I saw a few people nod, the few people including Xavier's father "Good, Well I would start with the truth before I sugar coat it, my father has taught me a lot of things of course in the most brutal ways possible but he was still my first teacher and for that, I am very grateful, I can't believe my father would be leaving me very soon, I haven't gotten my time to tell him how big of a role he has played in my life and I have never actually told my father I trust and respect my him, cos I don't our relationship goes only as far as love and fear. Father, I love you and I wish you a happy afterlife even though you are not going yet" I swear I heard Xavier mutter 'bummer' before resuming his speech "I love you, I thank you and I am honored to call you my father and teacher may you continue from strength to strength" he lifted his glass and the rest of the crowd lifted their glasses and drank with him.

When he got into the crowd there were still echoes of loud claps.

"Where in that was the sugar coat everything you said seemed real"

"The moment I mentioned the word love"

"Why don't you love your father"

"It is as simple as him not wanting me to. When I lose someone I get really... what's the English word, angry, sad, horrible the worst person to be around and I cannot stand losing my father no matter how much I tend to push him away well that's it" he walked away, aww he was sad and he was in denial. I followed him.

"Aww you are missing him and he is not even gone"

"WHAT, that is absurd"

"I know what you said about your father was true but you don't want him to know that you love him cos he might kill you"

"Exactly, now drop it"

"Tell him"

"No, I don't love him," he said

"It is time for dinner so let us go" Thank God I didn't eat anything earlier, I am starving.

"You needed"

"I am not a commoner?"

"No, you're a princess, my girlfriend so how can you be a commoner" we both walked to the dining room, I guess now the guest would just party in the main hall and leave one by one. Xavier pulled out a chair for me.

"Thanks" I settled down and he sat beside me. A few council members were at the table and so was queen Lillian. I haven't seen her all day and she looks so new. There were other girls on the table and some of them were shamelessly ogling while the others looked down at their laps. Lucifer entered the dining room with the remaining of his party.

"I apologize for being late" he sat down

"It is the girl that called the name," a man said, right to the insults okay.

When Xavier said I would be insulted my mind didn't jump to how far these people have gone, tears were pricking my eyes I was trying to bear the insults they were showering on me and I think I might have picked up a few curses in Latin.

"He cannot marry a human girl, most especially an orphan what does this say morning star will laugh at you"

Xavier squeezed my hand. I couldn't take it anymore I pushed away from the seat and muttered an excuse me to them before bolting out the door.

"She is weak, she is crying over verbal abuse"

I ran to Xavier's bedroom and threw myself on his bed softly. I heard the door creak open I expected it to be Xavier but when I looked I saw a gold glowing light floating towards me, like Xavier's eyes when he wanted to manipulate me, but much stronger. I got up unsure of what was happening to me, I started following the light towards the window, girl snap out of it she is trying to kill you. Who? I asked still following the light. I opened the window and stepped unto the balcony it continued floating forward, the light is that is.

"Baby" I heard Xavier's voice " where are you going" he pulled me back but I shrugged him off, this could kill me but if I didn't touch that orb I felt like I would die. I climbed the railing Xavier kept pulling me down.

"Let me go" I kicked his face "sorry" I reached forward and I found myself falling. Just before I hit the groin someone grabbed me and landed me safely on the ground. Xavier wrapped his hand around me along with his massive wings.

"Baby, baby listen to me" my eyes were still trained on the light. I don't know what Xavier did but somehow I found myself in the dining room.

"Who owns this?"

"What is that"

"Someone tried to kill Winter again, mother"

"So what"

"Lillian, you won't bring harm to the girl again do you understand me" the king boomed

"Yes your highness" she snapped her finger and the orbs hold on me was broken.

"What happened?"I asked

"She is not fit to be the queen"

"WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAPPEN TO ME" I stormed out of the room
