I rested my head on Xavier's shoulder and just allowed him to guide me if I didn't Xavier and I would have resulted in making love on the dance floor. There was a particular moment in time when my leg slipped through the slit at the side of the dress and I had it around Xavier's waist slightly. He was a good dancer and luckily for me.

A new song started suddenly, I lifted my head from his shoulder and we began to waltz. Spinning and circles and shuffling our feet to the slow rhythmic music, it was paradise and even more so when our eyes met.

His eyes were a sparkling green color, they caused my knees to buckle, and my lips to quiver slightly. He slightly narrowed his eyes and let out a low chuckle. Xavier leaned down to kiss my lips slightly, it was just a peck a promise of what was to come later that night. I found myself wanting more, the peck was enough to give me an asthma attack.

The music changed it's pace and so did we, it was getting hard to keep up with him my dress was getting in the way and my heels making my steps clumsy. Or maybe it was because I was very clumsy around me cause he made my stomach jelly.

We danced together for long kissing each other softly during intervals.

"I love you, baby girl," He said and twirled me around slowly

"I love you too Xavier" I rested my head on his chest allowing his heartbeat to my music.

"May I cut in?" Lucifer asked after tapping Xavier. Erm, I do not think I want to dance with the devil.

"Of course father" TRAITOR, Xavier winked at me then walked away. I curtseyed slowly trying to stall. I put my hand at his shoulder and his hand went to my lower back, but thankfully not to low.

"Your highness" I took his hand, my heart was beating loudly in my chest, this was so uncomfortable for me. I WANT TO DIE.

"Please call me dad," he said, DAD? No thanks I am already calling two people daddy

"I rather not" I nodded and started moving at his own pace on his on the dance floor, he was a fluid dancer just like his son and he was handsome as well. But was too old for me. Xavier is way too old for you. There was a smirk in the little voice, you know what I mean.

"Suit yourself" I continued dancing with him.

"Can you kill your fellow human?" what kind of off context question is that,

"Eh I do not understand that question," I said

"Come on you are not a blithering idiot, The question was a yes and no type so I don't see what you do not understand by that"

"The killing part of it, am I expected to kill my fellow human if I become queen," I asked with my eyebrow scrunched, he turned me around.

"Not if, when you become queen" WHAT? I must have a word with Xavier at once.

"Excuse me your highness" I walked away in search of Xavier, he was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey" Camari came up to me with a cocktail in her hand, I have not even had anything to eat yet. A waiter magically appeared with a platter of kebabs, don't mind if I do. I took one and put it in my mouth and grabbed a serviette

"You don't want to swallow that"

"What why"

"It is human flesh," she said and scratched her head, GREAT I am a cannibal now. I spat the chewed meat into the serviette.

"Not going to lie that was tasty for the two seconds it was in my mouth" she laughed "where is Xavier please I want to talk to him"

"I saw him drinking beer in the kitchen" Beer in the kitchen when he had a thousand guests here to see him and his father "he would be making a toast soon so you better find him quickly"

"Okay thanks" I ran to the kitchen and saw Xavier in fact sipping beer and talking to one of the butchers, I tried to ignore the human leg that he was cutting up.

"Xavier may we talk" he picked his crown and placed it on his head.

"Of course" he dropped the beer on the table and followed me to the courtyard.

"When would you have told me I was going to be killing humans," I asked.

"Who told you that"

"Your father and human for appetizers really I am sure there are human pieces in every gift bag already" I yelled with tears in my eyes, how did those get there

"Baby, listen to me nobody is going to force you to kill a human being. I won't force you, normally it comes as a required thing I didn't think I would kill humans but here I am"

"This is different you are a demon I am a human Xavier" he held my cheek and wiped my tears away.

"Don't cry, queens do not cry" he kissed my forehead "baby, it is not an obligation it is by choice I made a bad choice and now I cannot stop you do not have to start what you can't finish do you understand me and for the humans that we used for the party they are not just any humans they are the humans that made deals with us and couldn't pay up not just any innocent human we plucked out of bed do you understand" I started pursed-lip breathing because if I heard anymore I was certainly going to pass out.

"I understand" I buried my head into his chest and inhaled his scent.

"I am sorry for bringing you into this" that was the first time he ever apologized for that. I snuggled closer to him.

"XAVIER, WINTER you are needed for the toast"

"Okay, let's go" Xavier released me and walked ahead

"I have mascara running down my face" I whined to Camari "fix me"

"You look fine dear now go" I ran after Xavier almost tripping on my dress and faceplanting, he chuckled and held unto my arm.
