RELAX, THEY JUST MADE OUT

Xavier was on the dinner table with his laptop in front of him typing away, It was about two in the morning and I was not the slightest bit tired. I stood behind him testing out hairstyles one had been successful, did I say one I meant none. I gave up trying to braid his hair, I thought that since he had the tattoo and the nose ring so why not the whole bad boy look. I used a rubber band to tie his hair up in a man bun.

“I am done” he touched his hair and gave me that ‘seriously?’ look

“You just packed my hair in a bun ” no shit sherlock,

“I am not good at this stuff, okay, you need a haircut it''s too long”

"All the better for you to sink your hands into my dear" I crinkled my nose and shook my head slowly “Do you want to give me one?” he asked after letting out a burst of laughter

“Do you want a bald head?” I countered

“Never mind” I smiled and fell into his lap dramatically, wriggling like a salted worm

“Xavier I am tired” I whined

“Then go to bed”

“No I am bored” I exclaimed

“The same answer, go to bed”

“We never do anything fun, fun is good,” I said and looked up at him, my head still in his lap. He was l looking at me with an amused look on his face

“Your idea of fun is bad,”

“My friends are going out tomorrow and I was wondering if you would let me go, please” I slid out of his laps and went to sit opposite him

“Of course Winter, you can go”

“Are you serious”

“Yes, you can go then someone kidnaps you and holds you for ransom” for a minute I thought he was serious but he was messing with me, but things like that never happen and I can't just be kidnapped for ransom when people don't know who my fiance is.

“So no?”

“Of course not Winter”

“Xavier I want to go out with my friends” I ignored his little joke

“Why?”

“What sort of question is that?” I asked

“You want to be a smart ass right, for that, you will stay home, no second thought” he grinned deviously. I want to just slap his face and get rid of the sight of those perfect teeth

“You know I am joking”

“Better, Go on”

“I just want to go out with them so they would stop suspecting you have something to do with my weirdness, of course, you do have something to do with the way I am acting but today Jason was countering me with questions as if he knows what is going on” I got out of Xavier’s lap then sat down in front of him.

“Okay fine I will let you go, but you should be back by seven so we can at least get some Latin done”

“It is starting at seven” I fluttered my eyelashes dramatically

“Absolutely not” he looked back at his laptop

“Come on, just this once please” Xavier exhaled “Fine, but I am picking you up”

“No need Jax is coming with me” he raised his eyebrow surprised

“I lied that my cousin is coming over”

“I could jump your bones right now” I giggled and shut his laptop

“Why don’t ya” I teased

“You are going to be my doom” he smirked and opened his laptop again

“I am going to bed, mind if I take a quick stop at my father’s room”

“I trust you, you do not have to ask anymore,” he said and I smiled, he trusted me. I like the sound of that.

I got off the seat and went to peck Xavier on the cheek and walked up the stairs to my father’s room, the key was hanging by the door so I opened it and stepped in.

“Hey Dad, what are you doing?” I crept in, and smacked my forehead, he was in bed already so he was obviously sleeping. I walked over to him and pecked his forehead lightly. It was almost as quick as lightning, my father grabbed my hand I thought he wanted to tell me good night as well but he said something that shocked me.

“The one who nourishes you will destroy you” and it was in that old woman’s voice too, I let out a scream he was still holding me really tightly. Xavier grabbed me and pulled me into his arms, my father’s eyes were pure white and he looked very scary.

Xavier, who was behind me recited an incantation and my father just slumped breathed heavily and fell asleep? I think maybe he was dead, I did not have the balls to check, I touched my hand to my chest to feel how fast my heart was racing, extremely fast.

Xavier took me to our bedroom, my heart was still pounding from what I just saw, it had been almost a week and she had already possessed my father, or was she waiting for me to be alone with him first because my father had started eating dinner with Xavier and me.

“Are you okay?” he asked wiping my sweat with his shirt, I was just too shocked to speak, I nodded my head frantically

“I need to go to bed”

“You let Meredith touch you, didn’t you”

“She just stroked my cheek” I admitted “I did not think anything of it when she did it, it was like it was something very normal”

“She allowed part of her soul accompany you and she possessed your father because she cannot possess you with that necklace around your neck, I will get your father so we can expel her from his body you just go down to my meditation room okay”

“Okay”

Xavier had my father hanging on his shoulder, he set him down gently beside me and forgive me if I jumped away slightly. Xavier chuckled

“Relax, what you have to do now is hold him up and close your eyes okay”

“I am not touching that demon thing” I stuttered out

“That demon thing is your father now do as I say,” he said sternly, I pouted and looked at my father, when I crawled over to him and held him up just Xavier asked I saw orange light through my eyes around me. I opened it slightly and saw Xavier putting candles around us

“Did a little lady hear me say, shut your eyes” I did as though I had never even been looking in the first place and shut my eyes immediately.

Xavier sat down in front of both of us, I do not know that because I opened my eyes or anything, okay maybe I did. There was a cool breeze coming in and out of my room and my father was shaking in my arms

“Xavier be quick” Xavier ignored me and continued muttering some words in Latin, there was an extra cold air that grazed my cheek and went out of the room.

“Now that is done you can go back to bed”

“No I am scared to go back alone I will just stick with you for a while” he smiled, he wanted this didn’t he
