“You know what you should join us to the movies this weekend Winter, it has been forever since we last hung out” I looked up at who was talking, it was Wyatt and he seemed pretty trained on a figure of me stuffing my face with the cafeteria macaroni and cheese.

Did he just say this weekend? This weekend, as in, this Saturday. Xavier was taking me to see rip’s mew pups on Sunday and on Saturday I have a fight and Latin training, and I don't think I can miss it, rather I do not want to miss it I want to spend time with Xavier, It has almost been a month since Xavier kidnapped me and honestly, I hate to think of it as a kidnap, now it is more of a permanent movement. My father is with me and Xavier lets him out of his room almost every day. He is starting to trust me, weird because I am starting to trust him as well.

“YEAH, Winter last week we went out and you did not show up,” Jason said, I would have if someone had invited me, they did

“This weekend? I can’t this weekend” I replied and went back to my mac and cheese

“Why not?” Zoey said she was giving me a puppy dog face like that was going to work on me, she should forget it

“Uhh I have this thing, on Saturday”

“I have to go get my piercings cleaned or I will have an infection, sorry guys” I sipped my drink happy with my lie, seriously you are happy with a lie, pretty much, I am turning to a demon little by little. Chloe and Zoey pouted

“Nonsense” Jason exclaimed “You can get your piercing cleaned at the mall then we can all go and watch a movie”

“My cousin is coming over,” I said “and my father is forcing me to take him around town”

“Then Saturday should be free for you,” Jason said, he was up to something he was on to me, I scoffed

“Fine what time” I rolled my eyes

“You just didn’t want to go with us did you” Jason replied, well yeah but why would I tell you that?

“Jason back off, she had things to do and she clearly did not want to burden us,” Zoe and Chloe said, now I feel like a bitch they were standing up for me and I was lying to their faces, like the lying liar I was. “It is at 7:00 pm Winter, before that we will have a shopping spree”

“What is up with you?” Zoe and Chloe said when we got to my locker to collect my books for the next period

“What is up with me?” I asked raising my brow then clutched the books to my breasts

“We know you stood Alec up and it was because of Xavier are you trying to push us away because of him too”

“WHAT, Xavier has nothing to do with any of this you guys” technically he has everything to do with this, “I cannot believe you guys are accusing him”

“We never accused him of anything, we just asked a question, you are the one getting defensive Winter, What has he done to you”

“I cannot with you guys” I slammed my locker door shut and attempted walking away, they grabbed my hand and pulled me back

“We went to your house” I felt my spirit leave my body, they went to my house what were they doing at my house, they are your best friends winter, best friends visit each other, this was all shades of wrong.

“You did?” I said but it came out more of a squeak than attempt to sound confident

“Do you know what we saw there, everything but Winter and Mr. Cameron?” they said looking at me with that look

“We moved” I stated plainly

“Without your furniture?”

“Yeah, people do that it is totally normal, the bell has gone off guys lets go” I started walking away but they pulled me into the janitor’s closet, They wanted to rape the answers out of me.

“Fuck french class, Winter there was blood everywhere on your furniture”

“Maybe a homeless guy was murdered there” I shrugged

“And we found this” they lifted my charm bracelet, the charm bracelet that they gave me in the fourth grade when I first moved here ”I forgot to pack it”

“WINTER YOU ARE LYING” They yelled with tears in their voice, and I snatched the bracelet from them, why did I want to cry too

”I am not lying” I was not, I forgot to pack it. Well, Xavier forgot to pack it but either way, I forgot about it

“I am sorry okay, I can’t- I can’t be here” I pushed away from them and ran to the field. I think I sat down at the bleachers till the end of school but either way, nobody caught me and I just sat there crying like a baby. THIS IS ALL XAVIER’S FAULT. NO FUCK THAT THIS IS ALL NATHAN CAMERON’S FAULT. If my father did not make that deal with Xavier none of this would have been happening to me.

“Winter?” I heard HIS voice from over my shoulder, I didn't need to look to figure out it was Alec

“Go away Alec, I want to be alone” he sat down beside me. OH GOD, he smelt nice

“I wanted to tell you that school is over you can go home now,” he said, RIGHT. I got up from the seat, Alec pulled me back down

“How nice of you, I might start to think you have a crush on me,” he said sarcastically then nudged me with his shoulder. I really was not in the mood for childish games

“Hey” he held my face and wiped my tears away, “what’s up with you, you are changing really fast. Is college really getting to you quicker than it is doing to all of us” Am I even going to college? I scoffed

“So what I am hearing is you love me, wow you need to calm down” I rolled my eyes playfully, of course, he trying to make me laugh.

“I am not, seriously Winter if this is about college if this is about you wanting to push us away so you don’t feel anything when you leave it is unnecessary”

“You are right” I am leaving, but it is for a different purpose
