Fun Trip

Today's sky was very favourable for our activities outside the castle. Now that Afrow and I are in the vicinity of the valley not far from the castle, although it is allowed to go outside the castle, but still James does not allow me to go too far away from there. But at least it's not too bad when I have to stay inside the castle without ever going out.

"That looks like a lot of fun Mistress. I can understand that you were quite bored being cooped up in the castle without seeing the beauty of nature outside," Afrow said.

"As you said, I was very bored in there, but actually what made me feel the most bored was not being cooped up in there, but being in the same place with people I didn't like. And now I can step freely and talk to you without having to think about whether there are ears listening to our conversation," I said.

"Hm, actually there are many people listening to our conversation right now. It's just that you don't feel it, but you don't need to worry, I have arranged it with my magical powers, I can merge with nature and nature will filter our voices so that only unimportant conversations are heard by the people who are monitoring us," said Afrow.

I just nodded and was imagining the scene design of Afrow's amazing visualisation of magical power. The night when I first met him in the forest, I was already amazed by his incredible power, you can be sure that every werewolf's power has its own specifications. From what I've read, although they have similarities in some areas of strength, they must have magic that characterises their strength and is different from the magic of other werewolves.

"May I know what kind of power you have?" I asked while walking around the flower garden with Afrow.

"Hm? You want to know?" asked Afrow. "Well, I'll show it to you."

Afrow then cast his magic, at first I didn't notice anything and everything seemed unchanged from its original form, but after I looked closely there seemed to be a transparent barrier between the outside and the inside of the barrier, me and Afrow were inside the barrier.

"I'm sure the guards sent to guard you are panicking because we both disappeared from their sight. That's because my magic can create a separate dimension that keeps us protected and can also move to another place. Actually the function of the art depends on the situation, I can use this to hide or I can use this to move to another place but I can also use it to defeat my enemy as a form of attack."

I continued to listen to Afrow's explanation while looking at him enthusiastically. It was like I was in a magic class where there was a teacher explaining to me about how to use magic properly. It reminded me of a scene in my favourite movie about a kid who turned out to have magic powers and went to a magic school. I didn't expect that as an adult I would be able to meet and see that magic directly in front of my eyes.

"Alright, it's time to go back, they must be looking for us and I don't want to argue too long with them about why we both disappeared. Although some of them will already understand and know that I used it just to show you," Afrow said.

"Back?" I said in surprise.

"That's right, back out of the dimension barrier I mean. Not back into the castle. You are misunderstanding me Mistress," Afrow retorted as he moved his hand to stop his magic.

I blushed in embarrassment, how many times have I looked stupid in front of this man because I misunderstood him several times. I should have been able to understand that what he meant by returning was returning outside his magic room.

Actually, the visualisation of the transformation of Afrow's magic room was not too complicated nor was it like in the fantasy movies that I watched, but the way the magic room owned by Afrow worked made me feel amazed. However, I could not see the visualisation of the space itself from the outside because I did not see it from the outside. But if I had seen the space from the outside to know the visual difference between the inside and outside of the magic room, I probably would have felt amazed.

Sure enough, upon our return from inside Afrow's magic room, there were already a few other werewolves around, and they were members of James' pack. They must have panicked when they saw the two of us suddenly disappear from their sight.

"Calm down, I'm just showing Mistress Aluna my magic. You guys can go back to your hideouts, Mistress Aluna will be distracted if you're here too much," Afrow admonished the other werewolves.

They immediately nodded and left in a flash, the gust of wind was like the crashing of waves, and helped them disappear from my sight quickly.

"I'm really amazed by this world, everything looks amazing and scary at the same time," I muttered as I looked up at the sky.

"Behind a light is a shadow, the brighter the light, the bigger and darker the shadow," Afrow said. "You must know what I mean."

"Yeah, I'm not stupid enough to not know that," I said shortly.

I'll probably whine to James again after this, not because I want to cause trouble or I'm in a bad mood, but I want to go outside the castle more often to enjoy the more relaxing atmosphere outside than inside. Although it was quiet and serene inside the castle, the atmosphere created by the presence of the castle's inhabitants made me feel uncomfortable.

I wonder at the fate of my life, every time I own a house it is filled with restlessness and anxiety, the residents always demanding this and that, and also competing over some things and everything, I yearn for a harmonious house with warmth in it.

I picked a flower and squatted down to look at it. I then inhaled the scent of the flower and smiled happily because it smelled so good. This was the first time I had seen such a beautiful flower. It was only natural because this was a magical world and magical creatures existed in it.

The flower glittered in a crystal with a silver-white colour. But I was also confused when I saw the flower, because it was the only flower with a silver colour among the many flowers there. Doesn't this seem like an oddity?

Suddenly my head felt dizzy and strange. My body felt weak and sluggish and suddenly I couldn't control myself so I fell backwards. All I remember is that Afrow immediately approached me and shouted my name, but there seemed to be a commotion after that because a horde of people appeared and seemed to attack Afrow at that very moment.

I don't know what happened after that because everything went dark and my eyes just closed.
