Unexpected Things

After I advised him like before, Afrow became calmer but she became even funnier, he looked funny because he kept misbehaving in front of me, he looked like a pubescent boy who was confused about what kind of greeting to say to his crush. I could only shake my head every time I saw his funny behaviour.

As per the advice given by Afrow, I still stayed inside the bedroom without walking anywhere, I was also sure that many servants were cleaning up the remnants of the destruction from the exploded basement just now. Rather than me bothering them with my unhelpful presence, I would rather obey and stay in here. After all, they had prepared some very delicious snacks for me, namely cheesecake and also some very delicious and fragrant grilled meat.

Lately my appetite has increased so much, I didn't even expect that my portion of food was already more than 5 times more than my portion of food when I was in the human world. Sometimes I'm embarrassed when I see how much I'm eating, but then again I remember that the babies inside my heart are werewolf babies. It must have been their presence inside my womb that made me feel always hungry and want to eat continuously.

"Afrow." I called Afrow again.

"What's happened Mrs Aluna?" asked Afrow while opening the door.

"Please get me something to drink, this teapot has run out again," I pleaded as I held up an empty teapot.

Afrow chuckled. "Alright, just a moment Madam."

When you hear him chuckle I feel a little embarrassed, doesn't that mean he's laughing at me for eating and drinking too much all day? But I really can't hold back my ever-growing appetite, although sometimes I cry in front of the mirror because I see my growing body proportions, but it's already a risk of being a pregnant woman, I'm determined to go on a strict diet after giving birth.

I was a little touched by the food I had eaten so far, when I was in the human world and working alone I had always endured hunger and also couldn't feel the pleasure of luxurious food like this, even I was very grateful if I could eat an egg and a plate of rice, whereas my stepmother and sister could eat that easily every day.

Sometimes I'm no longer too ambitious to return to that world, because in this world I can live a little easier and more fulfilled. Although I'm not sure after I give birth to these babies whether I'll still be able to eat food this good.

I tasted one by one the dishes that I still hadn't eaten, they looked very tempting to my appetite, I couldn't wait to taste them all, but I was still waiting for Afrow to bring me a drink. Because I always drink first before eating so that I don't choke.

"Oh my, where is Afrow? Why is he taking so long?" I said while gyrating my waist.

While I was grumbling about how long it took Afrow to bring me a drink, I saw something moving from the bottom of my bedroom door, it looked like a gas that gradually entered my room in large quantities, I squinted my eyes so I could confirm what I was seeing.

"What in God's name is that?" I said in surprise.

I got off the bed and started to open the window of my room, I hoped it wasn't a dangerous gas that could poison me. I was still in a dilemma whether I should leave the room or stay inside, but there was no guarantee that outside the room would be safer than here, because it was possible that the entire hallway in the castle had been filled with that gas even though I didn't know what it was.

"What's going on? Is something burning in the kitchen?" I said, wondering.

My heart was beating fast and my sweat was dripping down my face, I held my belly and prayed silently that my fetus and I would be safe from danger. I had trouble swallowing my saliva because I was feeling scared, plus Afrow hadn't arrived yet.

My hope in this frightening time was that nothing bad would happen to Afrow, because if he did I couldn't do anything to help him, and also my safety here would be threatened because the person who always looked after me had also lost in front of the enemy.

That sounds selfish, but I'm just thinking realistically. But that doesn't mean I'm worried about him just because of my safety, I'm also worried about him so I hope he's okay because he's an important person to me as well.

Afrow still hasn't shown herself, if only I was in the human world and I was carrying a mobile phone it would be easy for me to contact anyone without any constraints, but unfortunately I was thrown into a world like this that has absolutely no technology like in the modern human world. While those werewolves and other magical creatures have a way to communicate that is using their telepathy, I who do not have that kind of ability can only bite my fingers because of the confusion of having to contact others in such a way.

My increasingly panicked feelings prompted me to think of calling Afrow, I was already really pressed, the gas coming through the gap in my bedroom door was getting more and more, the white coloured gas might be dangerous, I wasn't sure to check it first and decided it was better to secure myself in front of the window.

"Afrow! Help me! Are you outside!"

I didn't hear a reply from Afrow, all I got was silence, there weren't even any footsteps nearby.

"Anyone outside please help me!" I shouted for help. "Anyone out there can hear me?"

I hoped that there was someone who heard my shout, even if it wasn't Afrow I hoped there was just someone, at least he heard me and came here to accompany me, that way I could make sure there was someone who survived and could tell me the current condition inside the castle.

"Help! Help me!" I shouted again.

I was really frustrated, the gas was getting closer to me, my room was already almost completely filled with gas that I didn't know what it was. I was really worried that it was poisonous gas. Unlike the smoke, I didn't smell anything burning, it probably wasn't fire smoke, so what was going on?

"Mrs Aluna!"

Suddenly I heard Afrow's voice, I was very happy and a little relieved to hear that call, it could reassure me that Afrow was fine now.

"Afrow! Hurry up and come here!" I shouted to Afrow.

"I can't, Mistress! Please Mistress come to me outside the room," Afrow replied from outside my room.

I hesitated a little, but it was clearly Afrow's voice, so I didn't hear wrong. There was probably something that prevented him from entering my room. At this rate I'll have to venture outside, I don't want to continue to burden Afrow by not following his words.

"Alright, but... Can you tell me what kind of gas is going around here?!" I asked while convincing myself.

"It's just smoke from the furnace that exploded downstairs, hurry up and get out! The fumes will fill the room and make you breathless!"

I hesitated a little, several times I looked at the window and then looked at the door, I was burdened by two choices, but I also couldn't convince myself to stay here. The window had been fitted with a trellis, I couldn't get out of the window either so the only way to get out of the room was through the door.

"Is it safe out there?" I asked.

"Trust me, get out of there, I'm waiting for you out here," Afrow said.

I closed my eyes for a moment then took a step even though I was shaking. I was so scared, but I had no other choice, while holding my stomach I continued to move forward. I held my breath to avoid inhaling the gas.

When I arrived outside the room, I saw Afrow's figure outside the room, he approached me with quick steps.

"Afrow, what happened?"

Before I finished speaking, Afrow had already taken out something from a bottle in his hand.

"I'm sorry, Mistress. I have to do this, I'm asking you to leave the room because the room has been fitted with a magical barrier by Mr Alpha King," Afrow said.

I was pressed, I didn't understand why Afrow was doing this. But from what he said just now doesn't it mean that he intends to harm me?

I couldn't hold my body anymore, I was sure that the gas contained some kind of anaesthetic, my head felt heavy and dizzy, my body was sluggish. Shortly after that my consciousness disappeared completely and I fainted.
