Chapter Seventeen - Hanging out

Asher

My Grandma had stolen Farrah from me. We arrived here two hours ago, and those two hours Farrah and my Grandma have been baking and making soup. I was glad they were getting on, but I was incredibly bored now. I wanted to hang out with Farrah as planned. I didn’t want to be rude though or sound like a spoiled brat.

“I am going to go to my room, and play the Xbox,” I said, standing up.

“OK, sweetie, I will call you once the soup is ready,” My Grandma smiled.

Farrah smiled at me and didn’t say anything. I walked away, muttering to myself. She could have at least offered to come with me! God, what is wrong with me? I am acting like a needy boyfriend. I am not a needy person and will not ever be a boyfriend either. I huffed as I went up to my room. I switched the computer on and threw myself down on my bed.

I focused on what I was doing, rather than being a little annoyed at Farrah. I was playing for about ten minutes when I hear a knock at my bedroom door.

“Asher, can I come in?” I hear, Farrah’s sweet voice say.

“Yeah,” I said, pausing the game.

She came in, with a plate in her hand.

“I brought cookies,” She smiled, “Sorry I have been ignoring you since I got here,” She added, softly.

“It’s alright,” I said, smiling at her.

Farrah came over, sitting next to me and offered me a cookie.

“I don’t know what they will taste like, I made these,” She said, “Sorry if they are horrible,” She added, giggling.

I laughed, taking one and taking a bite from it. It wasn’t bad, not as good as my Grandma’s though.

“Not bad,” I smiled, taking another bite.

She smiled brightly at me, taking one for herself and taking a small bite.

“Not as good as your Grandma’s,” She said honestly.

I nodded in agreement. Farrah pouted at me and playfully pushed my arm.

“I was only agreeing with what you said,” I said, holding my hands up.

Farrah rolled her eyes at me, giggling. I offered her the controller, but she shook her head. I decided to turn it off. Farrah said I didn’t have to, but I wanted to. I invited her over, and even if she has been ignoring for the last two hours, I don’t want to be the rude one.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” I asked.

“Yeah sure, what do you have?” She smiled.

I listed some on the top of my head, and she chose to watch a comedy Stepbrothers, an older one, but funny all the same. We got settled on my bed, and I got the movie started. I don’t do this, watch a movie with a girl in bed. If I am in a bed with a girl, we are doing other things. It sure isn’t watching a movie or talking.
Farrah was moving around a lot.

“What is wrong with you,” I chuckled.

“I can’t get comfortable,” She groaned.

I shook my head and patted my chest. She looked at me nervously, her cheeks turning a little red. I had to stop myself from laughing. We have kissed, yet she is nervous to rest head on my chest.

“I don’t bite, honestly,” I said, “Well, I do, sometimes,” I added smirking.

Farrah let out a small laugh, rolling her eyes at me once again. She hesitantly moved and rested her head on my chest. I slipped my arm around her shoulder, and she snuggled in closer to me. I froze for a moment, but relaxed and got back to the movie.

Halfway through the movie, my phone started ringing. Maisie! What does she want? I wish she would leave me alone for one God damn day. I guess I am partly to blame for that though because I keep her around. I hit the reject button, but she called again.

“You should probably answer that,” Farrah said.

“No, she will get the hint eventually,” I said.

I sat my phone aside, and just as I did, it rang for the third time. I groaned, annoyed, and answered it.

“I am busy. What do you want?” I asked.

“Busy doing what?” She spoke.

“None of your business, again, what do you want?” I spoke.
“Do you want to come over?” She purred.

“Not today. I told you, I was busy,” I said.

“Well, come over later,” She said.

The girl was adamant, that was for sure. I wish she would find someone else to cling too. At least it would keep her away from me.

“Maybe. I gotta go, bye,” I said, hanging up.

I put my phone on silent after that. I sat it to the side.

“Asher, if you want to go, go, it is fine,” Farrah said, going to pull away,” She added.

I grabbed her, stopping her from going anywhere.

“I don’t want to. I am fine here,” I smiled.

“OK,” She said, happily.

I can see Maisie later if I want, but I would rather hang out with Farrah for right now. At least she isn’t needy and demanding. We got back to the movie, and hopefully, no more disturbances.

***
The second movie came to an end, and Farrah had been very quiet. I looked down and saw the reason why she had fallen asleep. I let out a small laugh, trying to shake her to wake her, but she didn’t budge. I know Grandma would be calling us down for dinner soon. There was one way I know that would wake her up, though it may earn me a slap in the face. I am willing to risk it.

I reached down, stroking her hair first to see if that would work. It didn’t. She mumbled something as she slept but didn’t wake. Who knew she was such a deep sleeper? I moved in closer, gently brushing my lips with her. Farrah moaned. Hmm, I will take that as a good sign. I pressed my lips to her, and the moment I did, she woke.

“Hmm, Asher, what are you doing,” She said into my lips.

I think it was obvious what I was doing, was it not? I pulled away for a moment.

“Kissing you, was that not obvious?” I laughed.

“I know that,” She giggled, “But why?” She added.

“Because you wouldn’t wake up any other way,” I said, “And because I wanted to, should I not have?” I added.

“Hmm, don’t know,” She whispered.

She doesn’t know if she wants to kiss me. I am sure we could answer her question. I inched my lips closer to hers again, and she didn’t pull away or push me away. My lips just came in contact with hers when…

“Asher, Farrah, dinner,” My Grandma called from downstairs.

Come on! She couldn’t have waited two more minutes. I groaned. Farrah laughed, pushing me away from her.

“Not this time, bad boy,” Farrah smirked and jumped to her feet.

I went to reach for her to bring her back to me, but she was having none of it. She gave me a smug look before walking out of my bedroom. Oh, it would seem little Miss shy and quiet is a little tease.

She confused me, but I think I confused her too. I sighed, getting to my feet and followed her downstairs. Farrah looked over at me, a cheeky little smile playing on her lips. I laughed and shook my head at her. She shrugged and went to sit at the table.

I will get her back for this.
