Chapter Thirty Five - Standing up for herself...

Asher

I was waiting outside of the school for Farrah. I left hers at five a.m. before her parents had a chance to catch me in their daughters’ bed. She had texted me to let me know she was on her way. As I waited, a couple of guys were walking by, talking. They were friends of Paul.

“See, Paul got what he wanted on Friday night,” Jay laughed.

“What from Farrah?” Chad asks.

“Yes,” Jay responded.

That fucking bastard! He is telling everyone that Farrah had sex with him. No, that isn’t going to happen. I am not letting everyone believe this shit because I know what happened.

“No, he fucking didn’t! Farrah didn’t have sex with him. He is talking utter bullshit! He was inappropriate, and she told him no,” I hissed, “So see, when you see him tell him from me if I hear him say one more damn thing about my girlfriend, he is going to regret it,” I added.

“You sure about that? He seemed very adamant. Are you sure your girlfriend isn’t lying to you?” Jay smirked.

I clenched my fists at my sides, using and control I have in me not to punch him and his friends.

“Positive! Farrah has more respect than that for herself. I hear any of you, Paul, or anyone else speak of Farrah again. I will knock every single one of you out,” I snapped, standing my ground.

I was not going to stand by and let Paul, or anyone tells lies about her. I know the truth. I saw the state she was in after her date with Paul. I don’t care if it gets me suspended or expelled; I will be sticking up for my girl in every way. He held his hands up, and they all walked away. I had a feeling that is a taste of what the rest of the day is going to be like. I don’t even want Farrah to have to go through that. I wish I could talk her into ditching, but I know she won’t.

I see Farrah pull up, and as she did, I see Maisie and her friends arriving too. Shit! I ran over to Farrah’s car, and I could see she was nervous and didn’t want to get out of the vehicle. Maisie begins making her way over in our direction, her friends by her side. No, she wasn’t getting to her.

I quickly walked, stopping in front of her.

“Do not even think about it,” I growled.

“I can do as I please,” Maisie said, glaring at me.

“No, not when it comes to my girlfriend, you can’t,” I said firmly, “You all have two seconds to turn and walk away because if you don’t, I will tell everyone your dirty little secrets, Maisie, and we don’t want that now, do we?” I added.

Maisie talks a lot when she shouldn’t. She has told me things she didn’t want anyone else to know, and I haven’t told anyone, but that will change if she says one wrong to Farrah. I don’t think she wants everyone knowing that she screwed her sister’s boyfriend more than once. Yes, that is the kind of person she is.

“You wouldn’t?” She said, a panic look taking over her face.

“I will if you don’t back the hell off, Farrah,” I announce, smirking.

She was quick to turn and walk away, her friends following. I made my way back to Farrah, who was still sitting in her car. I knock on the window, making her jump, but she rolled down the window.

“You OK, baby girl?” I ask softly.

“No, I don’t want to go in there,” She sighs.

“We don’t have to. We can ditch,” I suggest.

“I can’t. I need to get this over with,” She states.

“Come on then, gorgeous, I got you,” I smile.

Farrah takes a deep breath, rolling the window up and getting out of her car, locking it. I pulled her to me, kissing her softly.

“Let’s get this over with,” She said.

I nod, slipping my hand into hers, and we headed in. Violet, Lennon, and Stuart were waiting at the entrance for us.

“Farrah, are you OK?” Violet asked worriedly.

“What is being said?” Farrah whimpered out.

I think she knew from Friday that things were going to be said.

“Paul is telling everyone that you and he had sex on Friday,” Violet whispers.

“I knew it! No, he isn’t getting away with this,” Farrah snarled.

Before any of us could say anything, she stormed inside, and she was mad. We all looked at each other, concerned. We ran in after her, but when we caught up, she was at Paul and his friends, getting in Paul’s face. I am proud she is standing up for herself, but at the same time, I worry it will make things worse for her.

“How dare you tell everyone that I had sex with you? I would not have sex with you if you were the last guy alive, you piece of shit!” She barked, “How about you tell everyone the truth, uh? Why don’t you tell everyone that you don’t like the word no and think it is OK to try and pressure someone into doing something they don’t want to! How about you tell them you think it is OK to try and touch someone when they tell you not to,” She added.

I have seen her mad before, but nothing like this. All eyes were on her, but Farrah didn’t seem to be caring. Paul just stood there, not knowing what to do or say. A moment later, I see a smirk creeping onto his lips, and I knew he was going to say something.

“Farrah, there is no need to lie,” He said smugly.

No, he isn’t going to turn this around on her. I went to go for him, but Farrah got there first. She punched him, hard, so much so he stumbled, falling against the lockers.

“I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH YOU! I WOULD NEVER HAVE SEX WITH YOU! STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME, YOU BASTARD!” She shouts at him.

Everyone gasped, shock taking over their faces. Farrah turned, and she had a proud look on her face.

“Feel better?” I ask.

“Much,” She smiles, kissing me.

I wrapped my arm around her, and we go to our lockers to grab our things.

“Nicely done,” Stuart said, high-fiving Farrah.

“Thanks, but I don’t know if I have made things worse for myself,” She said.

“Don’t worry about him or any of them. We got your back,” Lennon said.

Farrah gave him a grateful smile. Everyone was still staring at her, but she didn’t seem to be letting it get to her. We got what we needed, heading to first class. Paul was supposed to be in this class, but there was no sign of him. I hope he has gone home or something, especially after what happened. I am sure his ego has been bruised.

A few people were whispering. Farrah ignored them and took a seat, and I followed. I hope that things will mellow out as the day goes on because she was quick to stand up for herself. But, there was still a part of me that believes it won’t be that easy, and what she did will make Paul go after her even more.

I hope I am wrong about the last part, but either way, I won’t be leaving her side for the rest of the day, just in case.
