Chapter Fifty Four - Winter dance (Part 1 of 2)
Farrah
Tonight was the dance, and Violet was at my house getting ready. The guys would be here in an hour. They were going to order a car to take us, but we talked them out of it. There was no point in spending that amount of money when we could go in one of their cars.
“Are you excited for tonight?” Violet asked as she did her hair.
“Yes, and no,” I replied honestly.
“No? Why?”
“I am excited to be going with all of you. I love that Asher is my date, but I don’t know if Maisie will try to cause any trouble,”
“I wouldn’t worry about her. She will be too busy showing off to everyone and making sure all attention is on her,” she replied, “And if she does, then we ignore her,”
“I guess,” I smiled.
“Don’t let her ruin your night, OK? She isn’t worth it,”
I nodded and smiled. Violet is correct. That bitch isn’t ruining anything for me, for us. I stopped thinking about her and continued to get myself ready. We put some music on and danced around as we got organised.
“How do I look?” Violet asked once she put her dress on.
I turned to look at her. She looked stunning in her pink dress.
“You look beautiful,” I grinned.
“Thank you, now get your dress on,” she smiled.
I slipped my dress on and looked at myself in the mirror. I felt beautiful in it, something I don’t feel often. There was only one last thing, my necklace.
“Violet, can you get my neckless from the dressed and put it on me, please?” I asked.
“Sure,”
She grabbed it for me and put it on me. I smiled and ran my fingers over it.
“Your man has good taste. That necklace is lovely,”
“Yes, he does,” I said proudly.
I swung around to face her.
“You look stunning, babe, Asher; eat your heart out,” she giggled.
We snapped a couple of photos, did some finishing touches, and we were ready to go. We headed downstairs, my parents gushing over us, and took a million pictures.
“Mum, I think you have enough,” I laughed.
“Sorry, I can’t help myself,” she chuckled.
Thankfully she stopped taking photos, and just as she did, there was a knock at the door. I went to answer it, but my dad stopped me. Apparently, I am not supposed to answer the door to my date for the dance. I make him come into me. Who knew!
My dad answered the door, Asher and Stuart soon coming in.
“Oh my, don’t you both look so handsome,” my mum gushed.
My breath hitched in my throat when I saw Asher in his tux. He is always gorgeous to me, but he looked extra handsome in that tux, and it stirred something in me.
Asher turned his attention to me. His eyes went wide, and the biggest smile crept onto his lips.
“Wow!” he breathed out.
I blushed at the way he was looking at me. He came over to me and kissed me softly.
“You look breathtakingly beautiful, my love,” he whispered.
“Thank you, and you look very handsome love,” I gushed and kissed him again.
Once we had all said our hello’s, my mother got us together to take more photos. After she had taken enough, we said goodbye and headed out. Asher slipped his arm around my waist and reached into my ear.
“You took my breath away the moment I saw you, Farrah,”
“Thank you,” I smiled and kissed his cheek.
We were going in Stuart’s car because it is bigger and has more room for us all. And like gentlemen, Asher and Stuart opened the car door for us and helped us in. Violet was in the front with Stuart, while Asher and I were in the back. He rested his hand on my thigh as we headed towards the school.
The place was going to be beautiful. I should know. I helped set it up.
“Are we staying for the entire thing? And are we going to the after-party?” Stuart asked.
“Yes, we are going to the entire thing, well, unless it becomes as boring as hell,” Asher laughed, “It depends. Do you ladies want to go to the after-party?”
“I am up for it. Farrah?” Violet asked.
“Yes, I am up for it, also,” I smiled.
We may as well make the most of our night.

We arrived at the school, and the place was already packed. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits.
“Right, let’s get inside,” Stuart announced.
The four of us got out of the car. Stuart was quick to slip his arm around Violet, and Asher did the same to me. We followed the other students inside. Everyone looked great.
“Wow, this place is amazing!” Violet gushed.
“I know, right?” I grinned.
“You all did a fantastic job, sweetness,” Asher smiled and kissed the top of my head.
There was a photographer just as you entered the hall, so everyone could get their photos taken. Asher and I were up next, and when the photographer called, we stepped forward.
“Everyone gets three takes each,” the photographer spoke.
The first one, Asher, snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me into his side. The other he stood behind me, and the last one, Asher, turned me around, pulled me close and kissed me. I giggled into his lips, not expecting it.
“I can’t believe you did,” I laughed as I moved out of the way.
“What? I am sure there has been plenty of photos taken like that tonight,” he laughed.
He is probably right, and I am sure some people acted way more inappropriate. We waited for our friends and made our way in to join everyone else. There was a live band playing tonight, and they were fantastic. I got to sit in on the audition for the music.
“How about we get a drink, something to eat and then we can dance,” Asher suggested.
“We don’t need to dance. I know you aren’t one for dancing,”
“Nonsense, of course, I am going to dance with you,” he smiled.
“You are the best boyfriend ever,” I gushed and kissed him.
“You deserve the best, and I try to be that for you,”
“You don’t try, baby, you are,”
He pulled me close for a hug, and when we parted, we went to get drinks. He really was perfect!
I had a feeling tonight was going to be a good night.
