Chapter Fifty Two - The winter dance

(Hello, I apologise I haven't updated this book in month, but had writers block and then I have not been too well the last ten days, but hoping to get back on track)

Farrah

Asher and I were feeling a lot better after our day away yesterday. We needed, he needed. We were back at school. Everyone was buzzing because the date of the winter dance had been announced. I, however, was not that excited for two reasons. One, it isn’t my type of thing, and two, somehow, I don’t Asher will be asking me to go. I can’t see him at a dance.

I had just arrived at the bathroom before heading to next class. As I stepped into one of the stalls and locked it, I heard a couple of girls coming in.

“Who are you going to the dance with?” I heard someone ask.

I wasn’t sure who it was.

“Asher,” a familiar voice said…Maisie.

“What? But he is with Farrah. Those two are stupid in love. What makes you think you are going to break them up and get him to go with you?”

“No, they aren’t in love. They think they are. Asher will be getting bored by now. It won’t much for me to convince him to go with me,” Maisie laughed.

Is that what she thinks? Does she believe she is going to come in and take Asher for me? No, that isn’t going to happen.

“What is the plan?” her friend asked.

“I have not got one yet, but I will. I will have him in my bed in no time, and then he will be my date for the dance,”

Maisie sounded confident with every word she spoke.

“I don’t even know what he sees in her. What makes her so special,” a voice asked.

“I don’t know, maybe he has had a bump to the head,” Maisie giggled, “But I will make him see sense,”

I stayed in the stall and listened to the bullshit they were talking about. I am trying my best not to laugh. The girl is pathetic! She can have any guy she wants, so why is she so adamant about getting my guy? I waited until they left and went out. I washed my hands and headed to next class. I wasn’t going to not say anything to her. She was in my class anyway.

I arrived at class and saw her sitting at her usual seat. I went to her desk, rested my hands on it, and she looked up at me.

“Can I help you?” she asked with a screwed-up face.

“Asher is mine, and no matter what you do, you aren’t going to get him,” I replied, “And he will not be going to the fucking dance with you either. Stay the fuck away from him, Maisie. He isn’t interested,”

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” she laughed.

“Trust me, I am sure. You have been trying to get him for weeks and have failed. You will keep failing. Back the hell of, bitch,” I hissed.

I didn’t give her a chance to say anything else. I confidently walked away towards my own desk. Asher and Violet were already here and chatting.

“You OK, baby girl?” Asher asked, “What was all that about?”

“Apparently, you are going to the dance with Maisie, according to her and the plan she is working on,” I laughed.

“God, the girl, lives in a dream world,” he laughed, “Only person I am going to the dance with is you, my love,” he added and kissed me softly.

Does he want to go to the dance? Once, our lips parted.

“You want to go to the dance?” I asked surprised, “I didn’t think it would be your thing,”

“It isn’t usually, but that was before I met you, sweetness,” he smiled, “So, will you go to the dance with me?”

“Yes, of course. I would love to go to the dance with you,”

I spoke a little louder than I needed because I wanted to make sure that Maisie heard. Her head turned around and glared at us.

“Yes, you heard us. I am going to the dance with my girlfriend, not you,” Asher said firmly.

Maisie huffed, flipped her hair, and turned away. Asher and I looked at each other and busted out laughing. He reached in to steal one last kiss before the teacher came in.

Now I feel the excitement of the dance because I will be going.

Violet, Stuart, Asher and I were at the mall. We came here after checking on Asher’s grandma.

“Let’s go look at dresses,” Violet said excited, “We don’t need to buy, just look,”

I saw both guys roll their eyes.

“You guys go order us food and milkshakes at the food court. We will go look at dresses and meet you there,” I laughed.

They nodded, kissed us and headed off. Violet and I headed for the dress shop. I was in awe of all the beautiful dresses.

“Do you have any idea what you are looking for?” she asked.

“No clue, but we still have time to find something. You?”

“Same, but let’s go take a look around and get some ideas,” she suggested.

We took a good look around, it all the different colours and styles of dresses. There were so many to choose from. It was going to be a hard decision.

“We should meet the guys. We don’t want cold food,” Violet laughed.

“No, we do not,” I agreed.

“We can come maybe next weekend and find something,”

“Yes, I like that idea,” I smiled.

Violet and I headed for the food court and looked around for the guys. We finally spotted them, a table full of food.

“Why did we leave the food buying to them?” She chuckled.

We rolled our eyes and joined them at the table.
“Is there any food left in the place?” I questioned.

“Plenty, did you see anything you like, love?” Asher asked.

“I saw a few dresses that I like. We are going to buy them next weekend,” I smiled.

“I look forward to seeing you in,” he grinned, “Do I need to wear a tux?”

“No, you wear whatever you want, babe. I don’t mind,” I replied and kissed him.

If he doesn’t want to wear a tux, that is fine. I know all of this isn’t his thing. Him going with me is plenty enough.

“I will think about it”.

Violet and sat down with the guys to eat. They had everything from salads to burgers to pizza, just to name a few. There was no chance we could manage to eat all of this, but we could take some of it home with us.

Asher kissed the top of my head, and then we turned our attention to the food. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder.

I couldn’t wait for the dance, and it was going to be even better because of the people I would be sharing the night with.
