Chapter Forty Four

Reluctantly, he walked behind them. He was glancing at her and found her smiling every time. Although she was around trusted people of his life. Still his heart was sending warning to him to be more careful. His gaze was moving everywhere, especially what was happening around her. He could not tolerate and he would be unable to rein his rage if he would see her unconscious once again. His heart was palpitating so strong that he knew she had caught his gaze. Heat was seeping from his body. Morning time's memories hovered in his mind, shaking them away he concentrated on keeping her safe.
" She's among family. Don't worry. " Danil whispered.
" She also had been poisoned among her family. " He snapped. He inhaled slowly, " Did you get anything from the man who attacked Angelina and Mel. " He asked.
" He doesn't know anything. He does all this just sake of some money. " Danil replied.
" Set him free. Let's see where he can lead us. " he said.
" Okay, brother. I should check security then. " Danil said, pointing toward security with his thumb.
" Very well, " He fixed him with his glare.
His eyes returned back at her. She was glad. She always wanted parents. He knew it. He talked to her step mother only because of her. She wasn't demanding or disturbed him with unnecessary questions. She was the one he wanted. When she knew Olivia wasn't his real mother. She did not put him any question, instead she told him he was lucky that he had two mothers. He felt pain in her eyes that day. Her sweet laugh brought him back in the present. He glanced at his watch. It was thirty minutes past one.
" Rose, It's lunch time. You can't skip it and your medicines. " He said.
They stopped and looked at him. He knew her insistence was going to come.
" No, I'm not hungry. " She cutely pouted her lips.
" It's not gonna work babe. Come. " he paced closer and picked her up in his arms, " Ain't you hungry?" He looked at his father and mother, before walking away.
" Sure, Let's go darling. " His father wrapped his arm around his wife's waist.
When He was sure she was in her deep sleep. He appointed two nurses in the room and walked out to talk to his parents as they were waiting for him and he was more eagerly waiting for the answers of his questions. He stood near the table where all family's members were sitting.
" Have a seat son. " His father patted the next chair for him while sitting on the head chair.
He took the seat. His father was also mafia so it was useless to ask him how did you find me? He didn't want to waste time. He wanted to know, who was doing all this? Why to her? " How do you know Lady Gem? " He asked directly.
" Because, she's my wife. " His father said, making everyone astound in the hall.
His wife means Olivia. Yeah! She's mafia's daughter. He thought and fisted his hands.
" You tried to kill her, " He snapped in a slow voice. He couldn't keep the bitterness away from his tongue.
" Think before you speak. She didn't. You don't know anything. " His father said.
" She poisoned my wife. " He exasperated.
His father raised his finger at him. It stopped him immediately but could not control his rage, " You need to know some things son. Before you jumped on conclusion. " His father drew the laptop in front of him. " See, this picture carefully. " His father told him.
He glared at the picture. He was moving his gaze from one face to another. Danil was also glaring at it. When his eyes rested on a familiar face in the picture, he winced but covered it behind his frown.
" She's Mel, brother! With Hebrew and Lamberto. What's she doing with them? " Danil squeaked.
" Easy Danil. You'll wake her up. " His mother said.
" So, she was planted by Hebrew. I got why you ordered to kill Mel. Why did you poison my wife? " He said bitterly with anger.
" You also killed Doctor Raven. " Danil added.
Olivia glared at them, " I didn't. We always think of Lamberto as a close family friend. Do you remember the day? When I was cooking soup for her. " His mother asked him.
He remembered, he tasted it himself, " Yes, " He said.
" Few days ago, I was feeling hungry. Maid cooked for Rose. She was sleeping, so I ate her food and asked the maid to cook for Rose when she would wake up. I puked the whole day. Rose mostly had slept after having meals or mostly she skipped her food. I found once puking her. She always complained that she had a headache. I got food poisoning whenever I ate her food. Then I visited Doctor Raven. That day, I knew my food was poisoned, nah not mine, Rose's food. After that day, I changed the staff. I started to cook myself for her. Sometimes, I mixed antidote in her food. I couldn't really get it how they managed to poison her again. This picture is the result of my investigation. Mel is one of the mistresses of Hebrew. Angelina didn't know anyone. So she could not help much. Tudd suggested that I should poison Mel. But I can't take any risk. She tried to kill Rose and she killed..... your.... " she stopped.
" My unborn child. " He sadly said.
" I'm sorry. That's what Rose heard that night. " She said with disappointment on her face.
" You should tell us, mom. " Danil said.
" Do you really think Liam will trust me? He didn't even talk to me. It's Rose, Who has become the bridge between us. I love her as I do to you trio. " She said, he could see water in her eyes.
" It was Lamberto who placed his men in our security. We have updated the security, Liam. I never thought he'd be a deceiver. " His father said, " You should bring her home back. She will be fine there. Haven't you seen her smiling today? " His father said.
He threw another aggravation glare at Kairo, " I don't think so. " He clenched his jaw.
" Liam! That was planned that day. Lamberto kidnapped Angelina, Isha and Ana. We were planning to catch him that day. Then suddenly Lilly came there and...... " His mother stopped.
" He betrayed Kairo. " He coldly said, " I hope next time you'll plan something, especially if my wife is included. You'll like to share it with me. " He sarcastically said.
" Brother, I'm sorry. " Kairo mopped.
" When did you try to shoot her? I had forgiven you for that. I'm not giving you another opportunity to harm her one more time. Next time, watch your tongue when you speak about her. " He said.
" We should keep our differences aside and sort out this Hebrew matter. " His father said in a cold tone, glaring at his sons.
" He's underground. No one knows where is he? " Danil said.
" But Mel knows. " His mother said.
Danil saw his mother with an open mouth, " Don't forget. Before I have you three kids in my life. I was a mafia princess and later mafia queen. " She proudly smiled.
" We need a strong plan. " Kairo said.
" Yeah right, son. " His father told him.
He cracked his chair back and turned toward his door.
" Liam, you should involve Rose in it too. I know you'd not agree on it. Unwantedly, she had been part of it. More she knows, the more she can understand things and will keep herself safe. We can't protect her until she doesn't want us to. Think over it. " Olivia told him.
" I wanna keep her away from all this. I hope you'll not question it. " He said and turned the knob of his door
