Chapter Fifty Eight

Danil said that he punished himself for hurting her. She had seen him beholding her with remorseful eyes. He had a deep cut on his hand on the same hand, he gripped her last day. Her forearm was still paining a bit, her knees were fine as there were only small scratches. she avoided high heels today. She was in simple white sandals. Maid put the plate in front of her. She sneaked a look toward the kitchen. He wasn't there. She could see white smoke over the pasta. It was hot. She wanted to forget yesterday when she thought about the worse things and him hurting her.
' I should wait for him, she thought. '
Meantime, Liam slid the chair and sat close to her.
" You're not eating. " He said.
" It's hot. It'll bur-n my tongue. " She said, careful not to meet with his eyes and not to stutter. She didn't want to make him more guilty.
He was full of rage that time. He wouldn't have done it if he glanced back at me, she thought.
Picking up the fork, he blew it out, " Try now. " he said, lifting it up to her lips.
She took it in her mouth, " Hm, it's not that hot now. " She said.
" I'm sorry for last night. I promise, this won't happen again. " He said, toying with the fork.
She stopped chewing, stared at him astonishingly and with her widened eyes. She couldn't believe what she heard.
Danil fork fell from his hand. Kairo poured the pasta on his coat instead of his mouth. It went quite silent around as someone pressed the pause button. She hardly swigged down her pasta. She rubbed her finger on the entrance of her ear.
" You heard me right, Rose. I'm not gonna repeat it. " He wryly smiled.
" Um um, yes. " She said perplexedly.
" I need to change. " Kairo said, walking toward his room.
" Can I go to see um momma? " She lingered.
" You are forgetting, mother is out of town with Dad. " He said, getting up from his chair.
" She's talking about Lilly mom. " Danil said.
He stopped and stared down at the plate. Her heart started to beat rapidly and irregularly. Tears undulated on the lids of her eyes. She closed her eyes in constricted manners. She waited for him to cuff her.
" Rose, I'll not hurt you. I'll not repeat my mistake again. " He lovingly stroked her cheek.
She opened her humid eyes to see him. She felt his fingers brushing under her eyes. She couldn't reply with fear, " You can go there. Danil, will you take her." He said to Danil.
" Sure, brother. " Danil replied.
She gazed at her arm. Her bruises had started to change color.
It's not good to visit like this, in such a bad condition. If she'd ask me, what would I tell her? She thought.
" I'm not going. " She slowly said and got on her feet. Pushing the pain away, she rushed toward her room. She plopped on bed and allowed her tears to fall. She felt his hand on her back. Putting his arms around her and lifted her toward him.
" You're never gonna forgive me. " He stated.
Neither she replied to him nor looked at him.
" It's killing me, Rose, to know, I'm the cause of your tears, bruises on your body. I never meant to do this to you. I just need one chance. I'll not disappoint you. Please. " he gazed at her with pleading eyes.
" I don't wanna change my love in hatred for you. Please, don't do it again. I I really love you. My world revolves around you. I'll I'll..... please don't do it again. I don't want to feel afraid of you." She said with tears.
He wiped her tears, " Promise. " He embraced her, " I'll not do it. " He rubbed his hand on her back.
Her phone pinged. She swirled her head, resting her head on his chest. She reached for her phone.
" Boo, " She whispered and clicked on the voice mail note.
" Hello, princess! How are you? I didn't make any call as you must be sleeping. I'm sitting in my plane and heading back to Australia. I've business meetings. It will take a week. Well! I'll be back soon. I want you to meet my girlfriend when I'll come back. Pinch me when you got it. Bye. "
She smiled and put her phone back.
" Don't you wanna reply to him? " He asked.
" I'll call him. He'll be on the plane now. " She replied with her adorable smile.

Pounding on the door, made both heads whirled toward the door.
" Momma.. " she smiled and got on her feet. She hugged her tightly. Lilly lightly patted her back.
" How are you, Rose? " Lilly asked, glaring at Liam.
" I'm fine, momma…. " She smiled.
" I can see that. " Lilly said, holding her arm and looking down at her forearm.
" It's just happened. " She whispered.
" Such things don't happen. " Lilly glared at Liam, " How could you hurt her? " She glared at him.
Liam didn't say a word and paced out of the room.
" Momma, I tried to sneak out without security. Liam was angry and he….. It's not what you thought mom. " She held her hand.
She heaved, " If you're saying, then I trust you. But if you're just lying to protect him. We are gonna take his class. " Lilly said to her.
She smiled and covered her mouth with her hand, " He's not a kid anymore, momma. It was my fault. I thought of going away without bodyguards. " she said.
" You shouldn't do this, Rose. Now I see. Why was he annoyed last night? I never saw love in his eyes for any girl except his brother." Lilly said.
" But you recently met him. " She said.
Lilly smiled, " I'll explain it someday else. I came yesterday to say hello to you. "
" You came. You didn't meet me. " She said.
" You know Liam. " Lilly said.
She could see sorrowfulness on her face. Liam didn't agree to talk on any topic relative to his mother. She efforted many times, he wasn't ready to hear anything.
