Chapter Sixty Three
She awoke but didn't agree to get out of the bed. There was sadness in her eyes. Her phone sounded beep, giving little vibration sound on the table. She grabbed it and without gazing at the number. She touched on the screen to open it.
' Hello, sweetheart! '
She got frightened. Last time she got the same messages from a stranger. Her phone rang in her hands, making her jolt. Reluctantly, she answered it
'' Who's this? '' she rudely asked.
" Rose! Rose!" Someone was sobbing, she was hearing the voice of crying in the background of his rude voice. She could guess it to be of a kid.
" Who's this? " She asked, her hands were sweating.
" Selina, " the sweet voice of a kid came again. Her mouth gapped. She benumbed until a strange crude voice came again, " Don't tell me now. You don't know any Selina, sweetheart. " He laughed evilly.
She was thinking who could be this cruel who was laughing after making a girl cry .
" Who are you? " she clenched her teeth in annoyance.
" Hebrew, sweetheart. " He chuckled.
It frightened her. Phone was shivering in her hand, " What do you want? " She asked, keeping away the shaking from her voice.
" You, I don't have just Selina. The whole orphanage, under my protection. " He said.
" Protection! My foot! You are a bastard. " She enraged.
" Ah! I missed this. I miss you sweetheart. Now! If you wanna see these kids alive. You have to come here. Alone, don't tell anyone." He demanded.
" It's impossible. " She retorted.
" Make it possible. " She heard a kid's scream from the background, " I'll kill all. I know! I know! Liam will not allow you. It's nine o'clock in the morning. You have to come here till twelve o'clock. You have three hours. Make it possible or I'll make this children's death sure. " He said in his crude tone.
" You are insane. What's that kids have to do with you? You.... " Her heart started to race.
" Save your words sweetheart when you'll meet me. For your entertainment, I will send you a video. See you soon baby. Only one rule, Don't Tell Anyone. " He said and disconnected the call.
I don't have time to shed tears, she thought.
She rushed to the washroom. Let the water fall over her. She hurriedly took shower. She was figuring out a plan but nothing stuck on her brain. She was standing numbed, dull brain, draped in a towel around her body, out of her washroom room. Her phone beeped.
She quickly clicked on the video. She staggered back in fright. All the kids were in the hall. They were sitting on the ground almost clinging to each other in fear from him. She spotted Selina crying continuously. Her heart plummeted, increasing her heart rate. Tears filled in her eyes. Her heart was fluttering rapidly, nearly ready to explode in her chest. There was no one she could ask for help. Her friends weren't in here. If she'd tell Liam, Hebrew could kill them. Her hair raised on her body.
' I've to go otherwise he'll kill them. She thought.'
Door creaked open, emerging Liam in black suit. His head was slightly bent as his eyes were on his phone. She wiped her eyes and plastered a small smile on her lips. Her eyes stopped on his face. She was staring at him, printing every inch of him in her brain so whenever she closed her eyes she could see him there. He moved his face upward, his green emerald eyes. He passed her his killing smile.
' I'll miss him, She thought. '
He strode, halting in front of her. He slipped his phone in his pants pocket.
" Still in the towel. " He raised his eyebrows.
She forgot all fear for a while seeing him and she genuinely blushed. Her eyes fell on her phone and flashed a sight of being them in trouble. He tugged her toward him. Her eyes moved on the wall clock.
' I've only three hours. ' she thought.
She swallowed the guilt and smiled. She put her feet over his shoes, wrapping her arms around him. She tiptoed and osculated him. She wanted to spend three hours with him. But she wouldn't be able to leave if he'd be around her.
" What's so special." He whispered through it.
" You, " He pulled from her and ran his eyes in her face. She could see heat in his eyes. She allowed him with her blush. Without a word, he scooped her up, " Meeting can wait. " He nudged his nose on her jawline. She wrapped her arms tightly around him.
She plucked black dress and fitting jacket from the closet.
" I'm waiting downstairs. We're having breakfast together. " He said getting the door.
She turned to see him and nodded with a smile. Before putting on her clothes, she pulled the drawer of Liam's side. She always avoided it. There were all kinds of guns and sharp knives, small and big, all weapons. She wrapped the small gun around her thigh and knife for a second choice. She donned her dress and stared at her for several minutes. She made a loose bun of her hair. She put on her jacket and put another gun in the inner pocket of her jacket. She put on her sneakers. She wasn't finding anything helpful. She wanted to tell Liam but couldn't endanger the kids' life. She heaved a deep sight and put a wrist watch on her wrist. It was thirty minutes past ten o'clock.
I've to go at eleven. I'll be there at twelve then.
She closed her eyes, gathering her courage, and walked down the stairs. Her palms were sweating. She hadn't hidden things from him. She found it difficult. She was trying to maintain her calmness and smile on her face. He had already asked her many times during their love making. She shook the thoughts and constrained herself to focus on the plan. While eating from the same plate, she was focusing on not being tense. But her sweating palms and beads of sweat on her forehead was betraying her.
" You okay, Rose? " Liam asked her, putting his hand on her.
" Yes, " She smiled bigger to make him sure.
" Are you sure? " He asked, taking out his white hankie and brushing it over her forehead.
She nodded, " Liam, " She stared down at the plate, toying with a fork, " Can I go to meet Selina? " She chewed her bottom lip and gazed at him. She was praying to him to say yes.
" Okay, " He said, although he was staring at her with doubtful eyes.
She was relieved. Her heart was breaking to think of being separated from him. She would die perhaps today but she wanted him to remember her forever, " I hope. You will never forget me Liam. " She murmured, lost in her thoughts.
" Did you say something? " He asked, making her face blanch.
" Um, No. " She looked down at her wrist. It was going to be eleven. She wanted to pause time so she could be with him forever.
He got up and buttoned his coat. She rushed her eyes on him and fixed on his face. He bent down to kiss her. She closed her eyes to feel him fully last time.
" I love you, Liam. " She whispered.
" I love you, " He smiled and kissed on her nose. He strode at the door. She stared at his back until he disappeared from the sight.
Her eyes welled up with tears. It was streaming down her eyes. She cried like hell. She glanced at her watch. Brushing her hands on cheeks, she paced out. Travis and Vanessa were already waiting for her with security behind them. She didn’t shut her thoughts off for a little while about kids being in danger, she was going to drive herself crazy.
Travis opened the car door for her. She sat on the back seat. Travis on the driver seat and Vanessa as usual on the front seat. She glanced at the mansion. Her eyes filled with salty water. When the car got on the road, she was waiting for the exact time. When they were far enough from the house. She took out her gun and pointed at Travis.
" What are you doing, ma'am?" Vanessa asked in shock.
" I don't want security behind me. Drive fast. " She said in a firm tone.
" Sorry, ma'am I can't do this. " Travis shook his head.
Her eyes were on both of them, " Keep your hands off of your phone and guns. " She said.
" Ma'am, it's a strict order. We can not do this. " Vanessa told her.
" I'm not kidding Travis. Something is at stake. If you'll not do it. I've to shoot you both. " She said with tears.
She met Travis gaze on the rear view mirror, " Please, do as I say. " She requested, eyes spilling water.
He sped up the car. She quickly glanced back and she was leaving them behind. But not to get enough time to go alone.
" Faster, Travis. " She said.
She could see the speed meter. After the rash driving, he stopped the car in front of the NGO. She looked back and found no security.
" Ma'am, now put the gun down. " Travis requested.
" Travis, please tell Liam. I love him. " She said this and climbed out of the car. She put the gun back in her jacket's inner pocket.
She rushed toward the NGO. There were cameras. Door creaked open for her. She stepped on it.
