Chapter Fifty Five

Michael and he were waiting for Danil in his office. Michael was rubbing his hand on his stubble and eyes magnated to the door. He was working on his laptop but what would be in the report was bothering him. He was not ready to believe the report. It didn't matter if the result turned out to be positive. He wanted to see her happy. He saw Danil coming toward the hall, file in his hand through the glass door. He stopped typing and gazed at him.
" Report! " Danil said, hitting the file on his hand, " I didn't read it. " He said, giving it to Liam, " You know." he got in the chair.
He took the file and snapped open it. His eyes darted on the result. It was matching. This man was his wife's father. Michael grabbed it from his hand. He stared at the oldie and was determined. He would not believe and trust him until his inquiry passed him.
" I told you. " He erupted in the biggest smile, " I wanna meet my daughter. "
" Not now, " He harshly said, " I have to tell her first. If she wants to meet you. You will. " He said, taking the file.
He didn't waste another second. He drove back home.
He pushed the door open. She was playing her favorite game on a tablet. Vanessa stood up on her side. He motioned her to leave. She bowed, following the order.
" Rose, " He said, placing his hand on her shoulder.
She winced and swiveled her neck, " Liam, " She nervously smiled.
" I didn't mean to scare you. " He smiled.
" I was lost in my game. " She said.
He took the tablet from her hand and put it on the nightstand. He held her wrist. Sitting next to her, He straddled his legs and made her sit between the empty space. She blinked and gazed back at him. He took out the picture of three girls.
" Do you remember this? " He asked, showing her a picture of three little girls in the same dress.
Her smile grew bigger, " Yes, it's me, Isha and Ana. " She ran her fingers on it. " How did you get it? " She asked gleefully.
He was staring at her, her smile. He was hoping the same reaction when he'd tell her about her family. He sighed. He took out the second picture of her with her family. " You need to see this Rose. " He said, extending it to show her.
She gleefully took it from his hand. When she had a look at it. Her eyes fixed on it. Smile disappeared from her face. He saw water undulating against her lids. He brushed his thumb against it. He skidded his hand on her stomach and pulled her to his chest.
" How did you discover it? " she asked, setting back against him.
" Do you know? Who are they? " he asked slowly.
" My parents. I guess. I don't remember. " She didn't remove her eyes from the picture.
" Do you wanna meet them? " He asked, His eyes were reading her face. She was upset and wanted to cry. She was controlling it.
" You find them? " He winced, removing her eyes from it and looking straight in his eyes.
" They found you. I just rechecked their claim. " He whispered.
" And! " She asked.
" They are your fa.. parents. Do you wanna meet them? " He asked again. He wanted her to say no but he was sure it'd not come.
She chewed her bottom lip and slightly nodded her head with a teeth showing smile. He nodded back at her. Fishing out his phone, He dialed a number, " Send him in. " He said.
She stood up. " Are they coming? " There was excitement in her voice. She asked with widened eyes, staring at the door.
" Yes, Your brother. " He said.
" C Cas-pian, " She stuttered.
Door creaked open and an emerging known face. She blinked and stared at the man who was standing at the door and then at him, " My brother is a thief. " She blurted in a questioning tone.
" No, princess. I'm a…. it's a long story. " He said.
She looked at Liam. He knew what she wanted to know. He nodded. She smiled.
" Caspian, " She said slowly.
" You remember my name. " Caspian embraced her. She returned it.
" Yes, Boo! " She innocently curled her lips in O shape. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. Caspian pulled back and wiped her tears.
" No tears, princess. I am glad you know you used to call us Boo. " He said.
' What does this mean by us? ' he thought. He was sure they weren't telling him the whole story.
" I wrote everything in a notebook. I read that everyday, not to forget a single detail of my childhood time. Where are mommies, daddy, Rick and uncle? " She asked gleefully.
" Wao! You have a sharp memory? " He was looking impressed and surprised.
" Note book's magic. But I don't remember anyone's face. Perhaps, I remember um I'm confused. " She smiled.
" Um, at home. Will you meet them? " He asked, at the mention of her parents his smile vanished, but he covered it.
" Yes, " She smiled ear to ear.
" Can I take my sister, sir? " He asked.
Caspian's behavior proved his doubt was not unbiased. He didn't want her to keep her away from him. He wasn't sure she'd be safe there or not. They could capture her. He'd be unable to do anything then. He could not take the risk, " I'm coming with you. " he said, getting up and moving his hand on his coat.

She was considering herself sticking in a dream. She pinched the back of her hand. Surge of pain was assuring her of reality. She did not know how all this happened. But it was the precious day of her life. She couldn't believe it for a while when she saw the same guy who gave her a deep cut with a sharp knife. Liam confirmed it with his nod. She wanted to dance in joy. She was descending stairs to meet her family in a hurry.
" Caspian, Do you have family? " she asked, a smile never leaving her.
" Yes, her name is Alena and she's my wife and I have a daughter, Emerald. She's two years old. " Caspian said.
" Wao, I have a niece. " She clapped her hands.
" You'll love them. " Caspian smiled.
Caspian opened the door for her. She immediately got it. When Caspian insisted on driving. She was biting her nails and staring at Liam. She was fearing somewhere in the corner of her heart. Liam's eyes encountered her gaze. Gratefully, he nodded and got in the back seat and Caspian on the driver seat.
" Tell me something about, Alena and Emerald, Boo. " She asked with excitement.
" I think you should ask Alena, Princess. Dad wants to meet you. I wanna see it when he will see you. " He nervously said.
She wanted to ask them, why did they leave her behind in an orphanage? Didn't they love her? While scrambling with her thoughts, her smile faded from her face. Her gaze lost out of the window.
" Are you okay? " Liam asked her.
" Yes, " She answered with a smile.
Car pulled over in front of a Three storeys building. She didn't have any memory of this place. She jumped out of the car with exhilaration and some tension. She felt his hand moving on her waist, " You okay? " Liam asked her.
She bit her inner cheek's wall and nodded, " I um, nervous. "
" Princess! " Caspian called her. She stepped in the house. Her eyes rested on a man in black suit. She could see grey in his hair. He was looking unquiet. She recognized the features. There were light wrinkles now on his handsome face. He was cracking his knuckles.
She stopped at some distance, " Daddy? " She slowly said, but she had doubt.
" Roselyn, " Michael rushed at his daughter and engulfed her. " I'm glad you came. I thought you do not want to see us. " He disappointedly said.
She hugged him, smelling the same perfume's smell after a long time. " Same perfume. " She smiled.
" You remember? " Michael asked him with a beaming smile.
She raced her gaze around, " Where are others? Alena, Emerald, uncle and mommies. " She asked, being impatient.
" Alena and Emerald are in hospital. " Michael said.
" Why? " She squirmed.
" Relax, princess. It's Emerald's routine checkup. She is a growing kid. " Caspian said.
" Oh, Where are others? " She asked, searching for them with groping eyes.
They were exchanging stares but no one was ready to tell her.
" Why don't you sit, Roselyn? " Her father said.
She settled on the white creamy couch, " What's wrong? " She asked, " Where is Uncle and his family? If I'm not wrong. You are twins. " She smiled.
" Yes, we're." He replied.
Liam and Caspian were still standing. Her father sat next to her. " Your mother, uncle and aunt are no more. " Her father said, holding her hand.
She stared at him as if waiting for him to say, It wasn't true. Her eyes filled with tears. Her lips were quaking. Feeling of unreality took place in her heart. She tightly pressed her lips. She wanted it to be unreal. Why would they lie to her?
" How? " She said with shivering lips.
Her father wrapped his arm around her shoulder, " Your uncle! My brother's goons were chasing your mother. You were with her that day. To save your life, she left you in an orphanage. She died that day. " He said, putting his hand on her shoulder.
" D did uncle kill her? " Unbelievably, she asked.
" Let's not talk about it. " Caspian sat in front of her on his knees.
" B-ut I want to kn-ow. " She said.
" You still stutter when you feel fear. You are not ready to hear all this. I promise we'll talk about it later when you'll be ready, more brave. " Caspian held her second hand and rubbed it.
" Ok-ay, " She nodded.
" You should stay with us. " Her father smiled.
" No, " Liam loudly said.
" She's my daughter. It's her house. We are her family. She can stay with us. " Her father replied with the same tone, getting on his feet.
Her palms get sweaty hearing loud tones from them.
" She's my wife. She already has a family. " Liam gritted his teeth.
" You must have forced her. Why would she marry a Mafia boss? '' Her father bitterly said, " You haven't any need to stay with him. I'm capable of fighting with him. You haven't any need to tolerate his hell. " Michael said to her, grimacing his face.
Her eyes were on Liam. His jaw was clenched, hands were balled. His forehead was creased. He could kill her father, she was aware of it. She had already lost half family members. She couldn't lose them.
" You are mistaken. No one can love me like he does. I'm not forced to be in this marriage. I love him, daddy. " She said.
" Roselyn, you don't need to fear him. I couldn't save your mother. But I..... " She cut him off.
" I'm not afraid. I genuinely love Liam. " She bravely said.
" I can agree but you are not safe in his house. He has enemies in the never ending queue. " his father said.
" Enough! " Liam's high voice reverberated, " We are going home, Rose. "
" She's not going anywhere. " Her father said.
" Please, stop. " She said.
Both's angry eyes diverted to her and then softened.
" I'm going home. " She declared. She wanted to stay but she wasn't prepared for the war between them.
" But this is your home. You can't go. We've recently got you. I don't wanna lose you again. " Michael said again.
" Daddy, you are not losing me. I'll be back tomorrow. I haven't met Alena and Emerald yet. " She smiled.
" You are not getting it. He'll not allow you. " Michael said.
" He'll. Right Liam. " She looked at him.
" She can come here at any time. If you dare to take my wife away from me. I'll forget who you are to her. I'll annihilate you. " He gave a clear threat to him.
" Sir, I'll make him understand. " Caspian came between them, " Princess is telling the truth. If she hasn't told him to set me free. I'd be dead. She's safe with him. " He looked at his father with beseeching eyes.
" Let's go, Rose. " He extended his hand. She took it.
" Wait! " Her father said, maid came with a photo frame. Which he gave to Rose. It was her childhood picture with her parents and elder brothers, uncle and aunt.
" Thanks, daddy. " She smiled.
" Take care of my daughter. " He said , she could see water shining in his eyes. She was feeling bad. Liam could allow her to stay with her family. She couldn't stop her tears. Liam tugged her with him.
