What's wrong with your mum

The next morning after which Alice and Enzo had adjusted to their home and now set to resume normal lives again, Alice woke up to find tons of hickeys in her neck which looked very noticeable.

After about half an hour of cleaning without avail, Alice just leave it be.

She put a thick layer of concealer on it and put her hair down in a way that won't expose the marks.

As long as no one stared at her neck, it can’t be seen.

After having breakfast, Enzo sent her to the training center. This is the first time she'll be going back to the center after coming back from Fairfield County.

If she hadn't left for almost a year, then she would have been graduated by now.

Alice asked nothing about the hickeys on her neck, Enzo didn't talk about it either. The car was silent not until they got to the red light intersection, just as Alice was about to say start a conversation, his phone rang.

His mobile phone was placed next to the car seat. When the screen lit up, Alice glanced at random, and saw that it was a call from his grandmother.

As Enzo saw that the old lady was calling, he immediately picked it up, beaming with ecstacy, "Grandma."

The old lady's voice with a smile also sounded really loud from over the phone, "Enzo dear, are you busy now?"

"Not busy." Enzo turned his head to look at Alice, reached over and took her one hand, and gently squeezed her palm, "I'm with your granddaughter now I'm sending her to training center"

Over there, the old lady was silent for a few seconds before she smiled again and said, "Oh, is that right? Are you still in Liverpool? Is alright to visit us before we go back to America?"

"Of course, I still have somethings to discuss with mum so I'll surely come around before you guys leave. Any problem?" Enzo asked.

"Oh my, of course nothing is wrong, I just want to ask about that"

As she said this, Enzo could guess that the old lady had not called to say this, something is definitely bothering her.

Before they left as long as Enzo could remember, the old lady had an argument with his mum and today, she called.

Enzo was skeptical, could she have come because of his mum? Perhaps his mis is giving the old woman a hard time?

After thinking for a while, he took the initiative and said, "Grandma, is anything wrong? Did you want to tell me anything?"

The old lady was also a direct person, and she didn't turn hide away her concerns anymore. "What's the matter with your mother? She said your wife really made her angry to the extent that she cried all night"

Enzo squeezed his lips tightly, his heart thumped fearfully as he realized that his speculation about any argument between his mum and Alice is true. But he didn't want Alice to sense anything so, he said quietly, "There is nothing serious about her. You know her character, she can't just accept my wife that fast so I'm expecting this much"

"Yes, your mother is very picky and arrogant person, I wonder where my son find her" The old lady sighed, "I'm happy that she gave our family such a big and intelligent son as you, she can as well sign the divorce papers!"

Enzo couldn't help but sneer as he tried to suppress his sadness, "I listen to her without any opinion, I can handle her, just take don't her seriously. If she wants a puppet to be her son, then I really am not what she wants son."

"As, your mother said... You and her were arguing about Alice's profession, don't you think it's high time she becomes a professional tailor? She hopes Alice can withdraw from the training industry and stay at home with her husband and bore Children but she said you disagreed?"

The old lady paused for a few seconds before asking again, "What the hell is wrong with your mom and what do you think of the continuous work?"

Enzo frowned, squeezing his lips and not speaking. He was afraid the main purpose of the old lady over the phone call is still for this matter.

When he took Alice to meet them, he didn't remember having such broad topic about her profession.

But he believed that the old lady would definitely find someone to investigate and it must have something to do with his mum and her meeting.

None of his family members had asked about Alice or whatever she does not even his dad. His mum never talked to him about it, Enzo was a little bit confused about who's who.

And now that they know about it, his mum and grandma started making several nok joks to stop her or make him stop her from working entirely?

Enzo was afraid that some ideas in the old lady's heart have changed.

And why did he suddenly find the change, most likely related to the two scandals that Alice has been making in recent times.

The old lady was originally a very traditional woman.

She can accept her grand-daughter-in-law to entertainment industry, but she absolutely cannot accept that the grand-daughter-in-law and a crush like Serena keeps causing trouble.

Enzo could image what would happen if they know that Alice has ran away for almost a year before.

Powerful families like the Clinton's family value fame and face more than anything.

If it affects the reputation of the family, the old lady will never sit idly by.

Thinking of this, Enzo frowned more tightly.

The old lady is an elder he respects very much.

He can be strong against his mum but the grandma.....

Still in contemplation, he heard the old lady's voice rang again, "What's going on with in her family? Look my boy, your mum has her own issues and your wife had hers. As long as her profession as well as her family didn't have anything to temper with our family reputation then, I am too lazy to intervene."

"You and your mother did give the family enough bad reputation when you're allergic, but now, I don't need to worry about you. I didn't want to take care of your wife's affairs. She likes to take her own decisions but remember nothing must go wrong!!, I dont want scandals or anything like.... the Clinton's family daughter-in-law this... Enzo Clinton's woe that"

The old lady's words did not mean any blame, it was more like telling the truth calmly. She did not mean to blame Alice, Enzo could tell that.

Several cars are now honking for him to pass, so as he held the staring wheel with one hand and his phone on the other, he spoke calmly, "Grandma, when I come back, I will make these things clear to your properly, I'm not a fool, I know everything that's going on"

"Okay." The old lady was also reasonable and didn't continue to ask questions, "Then I'll wait for you. Do call your troublesome mum to stop crying or else I'll..."
