Mrs Clinton loves Serena

Alice walked through the hallway after class and saw a group of students standing in front of a particular office as if a celebrity was there.

Out of curiosity, Alice also peeked and found Shawn as the new director of the school signing some papers.

Her eyes widened with shock. "What is Shawn doing here?"

She wanted to gasp but she finds it hard to do as she was really shocked. As if he'd planned her before, Shawn looked up and the first person he saw was Alice.

"Alice Lewiston?" He called making all students looked at the flustered Alice who wanted to bolt away but Shawn is now standing outside.

"Why are you running away?" He called. The students were surprised. How did Alice Clinton know the new director of the school?

Alice decided to ignore Enzo's warning and faced him, "Shawn can we talk when nobody is there?" Shawn realized that she's really shy so he took her to the office and the first thing he did was to hug her.

Clinton's Residence.

Mrs Clinton’s expression darkened as she looked at the news on her cell phone. The picture is clean clear of how another man (Shawn) bent over to her daughter-in-law as if he'd want to kiss her and another photo of them smiling together.

The ceramic bowl she was holding fell onto the carpet with a tumble and it broke. Mrs Clinton didn't bother to pack it, she's too angry to even do anything.

She gestured to the housemaid who quickly bowed to pick up all the broken pieces.

Mrs Clinton was still drunk with this anger when Serena came rushing it.

“Aunt, don’t hurt yourself, why are you so carried away?” She sounds very concerned and placed a hand on the woman's chest as if to calm her, "Your son didn't want to listen so he bring this problematic woman, you shouldn't hurt yourself for that"

“I’ll get you another cup of tea" the maid who'd just finished cleaning the floor announced and bowed.

“What tea? Can't you read the room that I'm mad right now?" Mrs Clinton’s face was pale. “I’m so angry now. How can a girl be so brazen to the extent that she doesn't even mind her husband's image? Enzo dotes on her yet she doesn't give him peace of mind m, Urgh, I wan to kill that girl!"

“She’s actually involved with so many men Aunt, Enzo has been giving her leeway to act high and mighty" Serena chimed in.

“How could a woman like her deserve to enter the Mo family?”

Serena smiled and said, “Aunt, is there a misunderstanding? I don’t think Alice is such a person, she's not used to the fame and power of the husband she married"

“Enzo dotes on her so much, and you and Grandma Mo treat her so well too. What else is she dissatisfied with? If it was me, I’d be so happy to be able to marry into such a family. I’d definitely be wholeheartedly dedicated to this family for the rest of my life, how could I still be involved with men outside? But I know she's not like that she ...."

Serena is so happy to show off herself as a good wife material now. Her internation was to raise the public attention towards her through Belcalis but now she'd created a perfect scandal for herself. Serena can't be more happier.

“She’s not like that's?" Mrs Clinton sneered. “What’s so good about a woman still schooling. If she was a good woman, would she have been able to coax Enzo to secretly get married to her? I knew she wasn’t a good person, but I didn’t expect her to be so insecure" the old lady almost fall off her chair, "This woman can’t stay in the Mo family anymore. Otherwise, my son will be humiliated sooner or later.”

Serena’s eyes flickered as she tried to hide her excitement.

“But no matter what, Enzo still likes her a lot,” she said softly. “Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gotten married to her so quickly. Even if… you doesn’t agree to them being together, it’s useless" she acted pitiful, " Enzo is a very opinionated person. He… won’t listen to others.”

“So, Rena, Aunt needs your help.” Mrs Clinton turned around and grabbed Serena’s hand. “I can’t tolerate this woman staying in the Mo family. Rena, can you be my daughter-in-law?”

Serena furrowed her brows and looked troubled. “But Aunt, Enzo can’t possibly divorce her. No matter how much I like Enzo, I can’t ruin his family. To him I'm just like a third party”

“Of course, I won’t let you suffer like this.” Mrs Clinton was silent for a while before she clenched her teeth. “Whether Enzo is willing or not, he has to divorce that woman!”

“Aunt, what do you want me to do?” Serena kept quiet for a while and pretended to be in a difficult position. “Although I like Enzo a lot, I don’t think it’s right to force myself on him. Brother Enzo doesn’t like me. If I continue to pester him, he’ll only hate me more.”

Sighing like a really suffering person, Serena continued, “Aunt, I think we should forget it. Brother Enzo is already married, and he really likes Alice. If I continue to pester him… it won’t be good.”

Mrs Clinton’s expression changed, and she asked nervously, “Rena, are you giving up? You don’t want to be with Enzo anymore?”

Serena was her favorite daughter-in-law.

Only Serena was worthy of her son.

If she fell in love with another man, where would she find such a suitable daughter-in-law?

Serena sighed and said sadly, “Aunt, it’s not that I want to give up. But Brother Enzo is already married, what can I do? I… I can’t possibly be the third party to destroy his family.

“I’m the daughter of the Shen family. I have my pride and dignity too. If I do this, not only will I embarrass myself, but the my family as well. Aunt, I admit that Brother Enzo and I are not fated"

Mrs Clinton was mesmerised that a woman that has feelings for her son could defend the woman that he married like this.

Seeing how the woman is sympathy for her, Serena braced her actions and continued, "Actually, Alice is a nice person too. Although I’ve only met her a few times, I don’t think she’s a bad person. She looks like a very innocent girl. As for the rumors, I think there might really be some misunderstanding. Last time when she came here with Enzo, she's really nice to me"

“Aunt, if you try to get to know her and accept her, you might…”

“Impossible. Never.”Before Serena could finish, Mrs Clinton interrupted her agitatedly. “I will never accept her as my daughter-in-law.”

“But she’s already your daughter-in-law. Last time that you even offered her money why didn't she accept it?”

“She isn’t.” Mrs Clinton’s eyes were filled with disgust. “I’ll get Enzo to divorce her. I offered her money, she rejected, but I'll never back down!*

Serena sighed. “I’m afraid Brother Enzo won’t agree to divorce her.”

“He has to divorce her no matter what.”

Mrs Clinton was afraid that Serena would really give up just like that. She held Serena’s hand tightly and said in a gentler tone, “Rena, you’re the most suitable for Enzo. He’s being insensible now and has been bewitched by that shameless woman.

“When he comes back to his senses, he’ll know who’s really suitable for him. He’s being silly now, but I can’t just watch him continue this way. Can you give him a chance?

“You’ve liked Enzo for so many years, are you really willing to give him up?

“You really… don’t want to fight for him?

“Of course, I don't mean to force you. I just feel that it’s not easy to meet someone you like in this lifetime. It’s a pity to give up just like that.”

Serena kept quiet.

Mrs Clinton was happy to see her like this. “Rena, give Enzo and yourself a second chance.”

After a long silence, Serena looked up and said, “But Aunt, even if I give him another chance, he won’t accept me. The person he likes is…”

“That’s why I asked if you’re willing to fight for it.” Mrs Clinton reached out and stroked Serena’s hair tenderly
. She lowered her voice and said, “Rena, Aunt has thought of a way to get you and Enzo together.”
