Work things.....

After Alice settled in her things to her room, she took a quick shower and made sure she looked great before going out from the room.

She was so purposeful and strong-minded in getting back Enzo's trust and love.This time around, her intentions were pure and she wanted to make up for those six months they've lost.

Alice looked around and was mesmerized with the superb interior design of Enzo's Villa. It has change from what she used to know, although this was not the room the stayed before. The interior colour palette drew on aquas, blues, neutrals and soft silver greys which suited Enzo well, the very masculine aura.

Then she giggled at her own naughty thoughts.

Floor to ceiling windows of the living areas made a strong design statement. But the biggest piece of art was the view looking out across the Gulf and the City's skyline which she bet will look so glinting at night.

"Hmm, I bet all this one is super expensive," Alice murmured while she touched the big vase.

Then the displayed photos in frames near the vase caught her attention.

'What is this? His Family? Wow, they all look good.' She commented silently then her eyes focused on a particular woman in the picture.

'She looks familiar. Have I seen her already somewhere?' She thought as she tried to recall where she saw that same familiar face or facial features maybe.

Her thought was disrupted by a woof on her back. So she turned around and saw Kie a meter away from her.

"Shhh… Quiet! Why are you barking at me?" Alice murmured as she stepped backwards when the dog was about to move towards her. Then she quickly ran and the dog chased her.

She went up at one of the chair in the dining table but the dog was about to jump and reach her so she climbed on top of Alice's table and quickly pushed the chair farther.

She almost felt like crying. Her heart was beating so fast. She felt like she was running for her life.

Maybe it's time that she really consider seeing a doctor. Until now she was still palpitating and nervous. She couldn't understand why she was scare of the dog now and now when she was with Enzo.

"Kie, stopped that!" Enzo shouted when he saw Alice's nervous and pale face.

Kie ran towards him and Enzo gave it to Luke who led it outside the garden then closed the sliding door.

"Are you alright?" Enzo asked as he quickly walked towards her.

Alice controlled her breathing and moved to go down the table but she saw Enzo's opened his arms and said, "Come here."

Alice's lips curved up, her fear awhile ago vanished in an instant. She hurriedly jumped into Enzo's embrace with excitement in her heart.

It's been minutes already and Alice was stilling clinging to Enzo.

"It's okay now. Kie is playing in the garden and won't be able to come in unless we open the glass door." Enzo said as he was trying to gently release her.

But Alice did not let go and instead cling to him more tightly.

"Alice?" Enzo whispered.

"Hmm?" she murmured.

"Ehhrr I can't breathe, can you let go now?" Alice said slightly chocking.

Alice quickly released him and said laughing, "Ooops sorry, I thought I should stick like a glue so I did."

Then she quickly turned around with her wicked grin and said, "I will go look what I can cook for lunch later."

Alice will not go to the office today so they will have to spend more time being together and just the thought made her chuckle.

Meanwhile, Enzo just shook her head while he looked at Alice's back going to the kitchen. He walked to the living area and sat on the couch to watch the television.

It was the news about the new company who said to be competing with their company. The SL Group who's the CEO was a young bachelor and known as a killer in business.

"What's with the suspense?" Alice murmured.

He already knew about SL Group that was really competing well with theirs. SL Group entered all the business lines their company was into. And today SL Group opened their new Airlines.

Enzo smirked. Surely he will be pestered by his dear cousin friends Caleb because he was the one handling the airlines.

He just can't understand why would the SL Group CEO did not show his face ever since they entered the country for business. He heard that SL Group CEO wanted to maintain a low profile and protect his privacy.

"Is he ugly?" he murmured jokingly as he continued watching the news.

"Who is ugly?" Alice heard Enzo commented on his ear.

Her face rested on his shoulder and it was just a centimetre away when they both turned to face each other.

"So who are you saying is ugly in the television?" Alice continued and smiled at him.

Enzo was taken aback and stuttered, "Oh it's nothing the SL Group..."

"So do you want some fruits here? I'll cut some and let's watch together since it's too early for lunch. I'll cook after an hour." Alice asked still smiling at him and seemed not to care talking on his face.

Enzo answered by nodding. Alice blinked and quickly gave him a smack on the lips before she quickly left him.

Enzo just stared blankly at the television while his face turned red. His heart's beating was so irregular that he needed to inhale and exhale loudly for several times to relax himself.

He was also sitting on a chair like this and watching Movies together when she was about to leave him, this sent him shivers.

Before Enzo could know, he fell asleep again.
