Waiting for the word Love

Enzo exhaled briskly and spoke, "Ryu, why do you talk too much? She must feel the pain that I felt too, she's now my secretary and not my wife!"

"Enzo, why are you answering me with command? Anyway, it's obvious that you still love her. Then maybe you want her to get jealous or wanted to see her reaction or you are teaching her some lessons for hurting you that's why you agreed to do the blind date. Am I right?" Ryu said with a grin.

"Why bother to ask if you will answer it on your own anyway?" Enzo said annoyingly then received the shot poured by Ryu.

"What did you plan to do with Serena and Judy?" Ryu asked before they went into the room.

Enzo stopped for a moment and replied with an expressionless face; "Let them be there! They caused all these, they should know that they shouldn't have messed with me in the first place"

Enzo came back late at night and walked straight into the room.

"She's asleep early," he murmured while looking at the wall clock.

He quietly lay down beside her and cuddled her.

"Are you drunk?" Alice murmured in her sluggish tone with her eyes still closed. Enzo was hugging her tightly and she can smell a little bit of alcohol mixed on his usual scent.

"Hmm it's just a little." Enzo replied.

"Alice," Enzo murmured.

Then there's just silence. Enzo sighed assuming that Alice went back to sleep.

"If I did not find you, will there be a chance for you to come back to me on your own?" He muttered before closing his eyes to sleep. He wanted to ask that from the moment he saw Alice at the resort but he was afraid to do so.

Yes, he agreed on doing the blind date because he wanted to see how Alice will react. He wanted her to realize what her true feelings for him. He wanted to hear everything from her directly.

He knew Alice was not the typical type who will just conceal what she truly wants and feels. That's why he was confident because Alice proved through her actions that she still likes him.

However, Alice just liking him was never enough for him.

Alice opened her eyes and stared at Enzo's serene face after she heard him.

She was actually waiting for Enzo to come back so they could talk but it took him very long and she dozed off while waiting.

She gently touched his cheek as she smiled affectionately.

"Of course I would come back to you."

Enzo smiled, "Did you believe it that you're my wife in the past life?"

Alice whispered whispered lovingly as she kissed him tenderly on his lips, "There's nothing like past life, we only come once"

Then she deepened the kiss as she wanted more, twirling her tongue inside his mouth and tasting him while she slowly flipped over and placed herself on top of him, still kissing him deeply.

Enzo opened his eyes. "You're awake?" He asked in a muddled voice breaking the kiss.

"Obviously, I'm kissing you right?" Alice murmured mischievously and then again took his lips and continued kissing him.

"Wait, what did you just say?" Enzo asked cupping her face in his hands and pushing her away looking deep into her eyes.

"I'm kissing you?" Alice whispered slowly.

"No, not that," Enzo said

"Obviously there's nothing like past life!" said Alice again…

"No Alice….before that….please say it again…" said Enzo little impatiently.

"Uhm I said that I would come back to you for sure once my contract period with Serena and Judy would have ended." Alice said seriously.

"Why?" Enzo asked nervously. He was not breathing at all while waiting for Alice's answer.

"Because…..because… I like you too much," Alice smiled sweetly and whispered in his ears while her face blushed and she buried her face in the crook of Enzo's neck to hide her embarrassment.

Enzo hugged her tightly and he gently positioned her to his side. He kissed her forehead and said, "Go back to sleep now. I will stay here with you."

Enzo sighed and thought, 'When will I hear those words from you?'

He wanted to hear the most enchanting word LOVE from her.... not like….as there is a vast difference in these two words….and Enzo wanted to feel this difference now…wanted to hear the word LOVE from the lips of his wife…

"Enzo, can I ask you something?" he heard Alice spoke as she slightly moved her head backwards to look at him in his eyes.

"Uhm, about your blind date tomorrow, are you really going?" Alice asked timidly.

Enzo's lips curved upward, his eyes glittered and his spirit suddenly lifted up.

"Why? What about it? Don't you want me to go?" he asked trying hard to hide his excited tone.

Alice bit her lips as she lowered her eyes and confessed, "Uhm, yeah I don't want you to go. I know I have no right to stop you from going but I really hope you don't go."

"Alright, I will not go only if you give me enough reason not to." Enzo said in a sober tone.

"I told you already how much I like you," Alice complained.

"But that's not enough reason for me," Enzo said plainly.

"Because I'm your wife! I can't allow my husband to go with another woman while I'm still alive!"

Enzo was enjoying this, "You were Alice when you set me up with Serena and your cousin sister, that's not enough reason"

Alice crumpled her face with irritation and said, "Okay fine go on with that stupid date tomorrow and see how I ruin it tomorrow. Didn't you say that I have to stick beside you, so now you better not leave me here."

Then she abruptly turned her back on him and closed her eyes.

'Why is she such complicated? All she has to say is that she loves me but she keeps using the word like!' Enzo thought irritably before closing his eyes.

The next morning, Assistant Tony scratched his head. President Enzo and Alice both had terrible looks on their faces.

Alice wore a sexy styled office outfit which defined her womanly curves with precision.

"Can't you change into a more formal kind of dress?" Enzo said.

Alice arched an eyebrow and looked at Assistant Tony then asked, "How do I look Assistant Tony? Is this not suitable enough to you as the President's personal assistant?"

Assistant Tony released a restless sigh and he looked to Alice with pleading eyes that said, 'Please Madam show mercy on me. President will kill me if I answer you honestly.'

Alice understood his pleading looks and hissed, "Okay don't answer. But I will not change because I'm perfectly fine with and I'm a fashion designer I can wear any dress and can't find faults with it, so let's go!"
