♥ Chapter 36♥
Axel Knight.
"You don't have to be so angry; I can help you relieve your stress." She says and touches my hand.
When I was about to say something, my head was turned to the side, and lips touched mine. I was going to pull away, but then I smelled my Elara.
"He's mine, and I'm the one who helps him relieve his stress." She says, very irritated after breaking the kiss.
She looks at Yenki.
"You idiot, bringing my boyfriend to this shitty place. Come on, Axel." She pulls me outside.
FLASHBACK OFF.
"I've already apologized to her." I shake my head.
"You'll have to apologize more; Elara is vengeful." I smile. "And be careful with Orion." I end up laughing at his shocked face.
The door was opened by Thalia.
"All set?" She asks, looking at me.
"Yes, do I look good?" I ask, looking at myself.
"You look wonderful, Axel." She approaches and adjusts my tie. "Perfect."
I smile and sigh.
"Let's go."
We leave the room and head to the garden. I see everything beautifully arranged.
Orion comes up to me.
"Hey airhead, make my sister happy, or you'll regret it." I smile.
"Yes, sir." He gives a smile.
I approach the altar and wait for Elara. My heart is beating so fast.
"Calm down; I can hear your heart beating." Mr. Dante says, approaching me.
"Sorry, I'm very nervous." He gives a small smile.
"I know how it is, even though Thalia and I didn't have a wedding, we were nervous when signing that marriage paper." He puts a hand on my shoulder. "Calm down, I'm sure Elara is also very nervous."
I take a deep breath and exhale. I do this several times, making him laugh.
"I'll go get her now."
He walks away. We didn't have many guests; it was just Pauline's family and us, the priest, and Yenki too. I don't mind if there aren't many people; the important thing is the family.
Soon the music starts playing.
Oh my heart.
I look at the door and see her enter.
Holy shit! She looks too perfect.
I smile as I see her walking toward me.
How am I such a lucky bastard?
Sorry, Mom.
But I am like that.
I see her stop right in front of me, and Mr. Dante hands her off to me.
"Take care of my daughter, Axel." He says with a small smile.
"Always, sir." He nods and steps aside.
I look at her.
"You look beautiful, my love." She smiles.
"You look great too." We link our arms and turn to the priest.
"We will now begin the ceremony. Are you here of your own free will?"
"Yes." We answer together.
"We'll start with the vows. Axel, you go first."
Holy crap.
I turn and gaze into her beautiful eyes.
"I'm nervous now." We both laugh. "But, I'll start."
I squeeze her hand in nervousness.
"I never thought I would be getting married one day. I saw you grow up, and soon the love I felt for you just kept growing. Your shy and sincere ways won me over without me realizing it. When I realized it, I was already in love with you, Elara. I tried to ignore these feelings that flowed inside me, but it was impossible to stop loving you. I love you so much, Elara. I will do everything possible to make you happy, take care of you, not only be a husband but also a friend. I want to be with you, sleep with you, wake up with you. You have become my light in the midst of this darkness."
Her eyes fill with tears.
"Your turn now, Elara." The priest says.
"Wait." She takes a deep breath. "I'm ready."
I end up chuckling lightly.
"Axel, the moment I met you was the best day of my life. It was like love at first sight. I love you so much that I would do anything to keep you happy. You are sincere, and that’s what I love; you don’t lie to me and are always by my side taking care of me. I love you, Axel, so much, truly. I thank God for bringing you into my life. Thank you for giving me a chance to love you. I promise to be a wife who will make you happy, to be by your side in sickness and in health."
I take a deep breath to keep from crying.
"Very well, the rings, please." We look at Orion, who brings them.
He stands in front of us, and we take the rings.
"Take care of my sister." I smile at him.
I turn back to Elara.
"Repeat after me, Axel. I, Alex Knight, take you, Elara Sinclair, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death."
I hold her hand.
"I, Alex Knight, take you, Elara Sinclair, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death." I slide the ring onto her finger and kiss the back of her hand with affection. "I love you."
"Now it’s your turn, Elara. Repeat after me. I, Elara Sinclair, take you, Axel Knight, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death."
"I, Elara Sinclair, take you, Axel Knight, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death." She says, then slides the ring onto my finger and kisses the back of my hand. "I love you too."
"And I declare you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
I pull her into a hug and kiss her with all my love. We soon hear the applause.
"That’s it!!!" Yenki’s voice makes us smile.
"Now let’s eat!!" Orion shouts, and we laugh at that.
We head to the garden area where the food tables are set up.
Soon, music starts playing in the area.
"Will you grant me this dance, wife?" She smiles.
"With pleasure, husband."
I lead her to the middle of the garden, and we start dancing to the slow music, resting our foreheads together.
"Thank you for loving me, Elara." I say.
"Thank you for giving me a chance." She says with a huge smile.
"I’d be an idiot if I didn’t." I say, laughing.
"Yes, you would be." She sighs.
"Is this really real?" She holds my face and kisses my lips.
"Yes, love. This is real."
I kiss her again, making her smile between kisses.
"Man, I’m so happy." I say, smiling.
"Then we’re both happy. Now I can sleep at your place and wake up with you by my side every day."
"Yes, every day."
We look at each other and smile like idiots.
"I love you, Elara."
"I love you, Axel."
We rest our foreheads together again.
"Always."
She closes her eyes.
"I’ll always love you, my Axel."
I, who always denied it, thinking she didn’t love me, am now married to her.
I love you, Elara, and I always will.
THE END.
