Elara Sinclair.
One day later.
Saturday.
I haven't had any contact with Axel for a day. My father told me to give him a break, but being without him is killing me. And now all hell breaks loose, as today is Saturday, and the unfortunate Struk is coming here. I don't want that boy here, but unfortunately, that's life, and I have to put up with it.
I go downstairs and see Orion watching The Walking Dead. Furthermore, I look around to see if anyone is there and approach him.
'' Tell me you're with the cricket? '' I ask, and he looks at me like I'm an idiot.
"Of course I'm with the cricket, he's in my room." I let out a sigh of relief.
''I just want that boy to leave me alone. '' I say and sit down next to him.
''Well, that's quite simple.'' I look at him uncomprehendingly.
''What do you mean, simple?'' I ask, genuinely confused.
'' Just kill him. '' I glare at him. ''It was a good idea, you're missing out.
'' I'm not going to kill anyone, Orion.
'' Not you, I'm sure Axel would. '' Just hearing his name makes me sad.
'' He wouldn't. '' I say and watch the TV. ''He doesn't even like me.
I hear him snort and say no more. I leave him there and go into the kitchen for something to eat.
''Good morning, darling.'' She kisses my forehead. ''Your friend is coming today, isn't he?
'' Not a friend, Mom. Far from it, we're just classmates. And I hate that boy. '' She laughs lightly.
'' Oh, he can't be that bad.
'' No, he's horrible, Mom. He is an annoying and persistent boy, he never leaves me alone. '' I say, getting annoyed.
''All right, just do your share of the work, and that's that.
'' It's not that simple, Mom. He can barely speak English. I'm going to have to help him, my grade depends on him. '' I say and lay my head on the counter. ''I'd rather do the work myself.
'' I'm sorry about that, dear. '' She runs her hand through my hair.
'' Good morning. '' My father's voice as he entered the kitchen made me raise my head to see them.
'' Good morning. '' Mom and I answered together.
''Axel is coming back, the mission was a success. '' He said, and I let out a sigh of relief.
He's alive.
'' That's good, I'm glad to hear that. I consider Axel a brother. '' I looked at her quickly. ''What is it, dear?
'' Mom, if you consider him a brother and I'm your daughter, Axel would practically become my uncle, ew. '' I grimaced at that.
My parents ended up laughing at that.
''I consider him my brother, it depends on whether you consider him an uncle. '' I made a disgusted face, which made her laugh. '' There's your answer.
I let out a sigh and felt my cell phone ring with a message.
Message
Struk: Can you pick me up? I can't afford a cab. <08:50>
I grumbled.
I'm starting to agree with Orion about killing him.
'' I have to go, I'm going to get the plague. '' I said, annoyed.
I left the kitchen and walked to the front door.
''Where are you going?'' Orion asked curiously.
''To pick up the boy, the prince can't afford a cab.'' He snorted.
"Surely he just wants you to pick him up." I nodded, thinking so too.
I left the house and went into my room to get my car key. Furthermore, I picked up my cell phone and saw that he had already sent me his location.
I deserve that.

He gets into the car.
'' Good morning, Elara. '' I widen my eyes when he kisses my cheek.
'' What the fuck do you think you're doing? '' I ask, running my hand over the spot where he kissed.
"Say hello, can't I?" He grimaces.
I don't like strangers touching me, I feel terrible about it.
"Please don't touch me," I say dryly.
''Stop being mean, Elara. '' I decide not to say anything, I just leave for my house.
I hope he's scared to death by the crickets. Axel rejecting me is enough, now I have to put up with this boy.
'' So. '' He starts. ''Have you thought about what you're going to do when you finish college? '' I find this question strange, but I decide to leave it aside.
'' I'm going to help my father in his company.
'' And how's your boyfriend? '' That's all I need.
'' Very well. '' I keep looking straight ahead.
'' I can... '' I cut him off.
'' Why don't we practice our English a bit? So. What's your name? "I ask without turning away from the road.
''Um, my name is Struk. '' I snort.
'' You have to answer in English. '' I say.
''Right. My name is Struk.
'' How are you today? Ready for class?
'' I'm fine, thanks for asking. I didn't understand the rest.
'' I had asked if you were prepared for class.

'' What? '' He asks confused.

I turn the corner and stop the car, pressing the button on the roof to open the garage. I get in and park the car.
'' This way. '' We enter the house. '' I'm here! '' I shout.
My mother comes out of the kitchen, along with my father and Orion.
''Well, welcome, darling. '' My mother, as always loving.
"Thank you, ma'am." I glance at him and notice him blushing.
What the fuck?
I look straight ahead without understanding.
